The Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally meets tonight (and every Tuesday), 8PM at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E. (I’ll be leaving early, so come by early if you want to say hello.)
Tonight is “Dine for Darfur” night around town; the Montlake Ale House, along with dozens of other restaurants in Seattle, will donate 25% of their proceeds to Mercy Corps. So drink up. It’s for a good cause.
Also, if you’ve been to the Ale House recently, you may have noticed some politically tinged paintings on display from local artist Mary K. Johnson. She’ll be on hand to mingle and take questions about her work.

Our regular Tuesday night gathering of the Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally meets two hours earlier tonight, 6PM at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E… so we can all watch the President’s State of the Union address in the comfort of friends and alcohol.
We’ll be playing the State of the Union Drinking Game and SOTU Bingo, so please join us for some politically inspired cheers, jeers and beers. (Oh… and our fearless leader Nick implores, no swearing! It’s a family restaurant.)

Due to an equipment failure, the Montlake Ale House is closed tonight, so we’re moving the gathering to Elysian Fields, down by Qwest Field.
I know it’s a bit of a hike, but they serve good beer and good food. And it’s awfully damn big, and usually pretty empty when there isn’t a game going on.
We’ll be back at the Montlake Ale House next week.
