I don’t know about you, but I got my ass kicked by the time change. Where do I go to get my hour back? Anyway…
- Did you attend the Women’s March?
- The legislative session ends this week and hopefully they have done enough to secure the state from President Trump.
- Also, landlords have to disclose flood risks to tenants. In practice, I’m sure it will be part of a long list of things in the agreement you sign to move in. Still, better than nothing.
- The Senate version of the mosquito fleet act has a lot of unnecessary provisions that I hope can be removed in the final version.
- Call or email your legislator.

Yeah, but remember when Obama wore that tan suit? And the time he had his feet on the Oval Office Desk!

Been waiting for details on Vancouver’s new trolleybuses to see how much they keep of the original Polish design. Looks like they are keeping one feature of the Solaris Trollino 12 that I think Metro could use on Urban routes, especially ones that serve LINK stations.. In North America, more seats on a bus has been the philosophy for decades, so no third door to speed boarding and exiting on a 40ft bus. Would be great for routes 1,2, 3,4, 13, 14, and possibly 36.

The Solaris Urbino battery, which Metro is the North American launch customer, has been adapted to look more or less like the standard North American design, and only 2 doors. Probably as Metro’s main focus for battery buses are suburban routes. For a long time on conventional 40ft buses, even one rear door was too many if it affected a row of seats or two. The Urbino itself has been in production over a decade, so bugs, if any, have been worked out.

One model of the Trollino Metro could use, perhaps on RTs 7, 44, 48, and 70, is the Trollino 24, but at 81 ft would require a change in the RCW, which caps articulated bus length at 61 ft. Truckers might see an opening to get some truck trailer combo limits lifted.
I remember when a Secretary of State wouldn’t be caught taking a smiling thumbs up photo with a guy convicted and sentenced to 22 years for Sedition and Conspiracy against the United States.
