That pendulum also swung back and forth. This very close to home for someone I know whose family was redlined into a neighborhood of high crime and bad schools. It was life changing for the victims of these policies.
Nowadays the remedies for such policies are called “woke” and “DEI,” as if that was some sort of epithet, and Republicans are trying to drag us back to those nasty old days.
