Last week’s contest was another really tough one. After a clue, wes.in.wa came up with the right location. It was La Center.
This week’s contest is related to something in the news from the month of July. Good luck!

Two days in, and not a single comment; it’s time for you to post a hint, Lee.
@1, c’mon, it’s under 24 hours …
I’ve only been googling stuff like “quiet neighborhood” & “pot bust” or “corpses” … it’s more about trying to guess what news story would get Lee’s attention, than really searching every older residential neighborhood in the US.

2046 Plainfield Ave. NE, Grand Rapids MI. One location of a bloody day in Michigan.
One of the places I looked was at Betty Ford’s childhood home, which is only 4 miles away. Close, but no cigar. Nice win, Wes

Good win, I was hoping to find a less depressing news item, but it’s been kind of a depressing month.
