The Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally meets tonight (and every Tuesday), 8PM at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E.
I’ve got no idea if any special guests are scheduled to stop by tonight, but I’m guessing that with the election only two weeks away, it should be a pretty good crowd.
Not in Seattle? Washington liberals will also be drinking tonight in the Tri-Cities and Vancouver. Here’s a full run down of WA’s ten Drinking Liberally chapters:

Can Stefan be there to propose questions? He seems really good at it..
Roger Rabbit rarely attends DL because the GOP Thought Police are out to get me! I spend most of my time underground in my concrete-reinforced computer bunker, which can survive a direct hit from hardened dog poop. Occasionally I stick my wet black nose out of my burrow, sniff the air, and if no danger is detected I put my head out a little further and look around. When conditions are right, I dash across the walkway and dive into one of my back-up holes. It’s a riot watching the dog owners get
oops
pulled off their feet! The dogs can’t catch me because I have tremendous burst speed for short distances. I can run circles around O.J. in the 50-yard dash. In fact, I was offered an NFL contract, until the commissioner ruled that ball carriers have to be human, which ended that. Too bad. I would have been famous!
wow! this thread is already up to 5 posts! That’s more than Stefan’s pathetic little blog gets all day! He has to post on his own blog under a dozen screen names or he wouldn’t get any traffic at all. Nobody else reads it.
Yeah Goldy I think you oughta invite Stefan to DL sometime. I’d like to ask him if he’s going to plant CARROTS in his garden next year! YUMMY!!! I LOVE CARROTS!!! I also want to know why he didn’t share the proceeds of his lawsuit against King County with the generous contributors to his “legal action fund” who helped pay for his lawsuit. I also want to ask him why he never posts anything on his pathetic little partisan blog about GOP election dirty tricks.
In a previous thread, Mark1 was complaining about my Republican-bashing. These guys call us commies, traitors, terrorist-huggers, etc., and then cry when we bash them. What a bunch of chickenshits! Buh-uh cluck-cluck-cluck!! Fucking crybabies!! Hey Mark1, reading HA is a voluntary activity!!! Nobody asked you to do it. HA is a saloon brawl. If you can’t stand the brawl, get out of the saloon! Thank God we have trolls with more fortitude than Mark1 to provide the entertainment here.

PORT COMMISSIONERS MOVE TO FATTEN CEO’S PENSION
The Seattle Fish Wrapper reports:
“Mic Dinsmore is paid more than any other top executive at a major U.S. port, and he’s due to retire in less than six months. Today Port of Seattle commissioners … consider awarding him a … raise that would … lock in an extra $3,000 a year in future state pension benefits.
“If he gets the raise, the 61-year-old Dinsmore would have a final pay packet of $339,841 a year — substantially more than his peers at other big ports — and more than double the $150,995 Gov. Christine Gregoire earns as chief executive of the state.
“Commission President Patricia Davis said she thinks he’s earned an annual raise, and she is confident the commission will give it to him. But several commissioners said Dinsmore’s performance as chief executive officer doesn’t merit such an increase.
“‘I’m disappointed in our financial performance this year,’ Commissioner Alec Fisken said. He cited a proposal to increase the Port’s tax levy … as well as plans to build a new cargo terminal that would require the Port to tear down an $18.2 million cruise-ship terminal opened in 2003.
“Under the Port’s pay-for-performance system, Dinsmore would need to be rated ‘outstanding’ to qualify for the top 6 percent raise. Commissioner Lloyd Hara gives Dinsmore a grade of ‘progressing,’ which carries a zero to 2 percent raise. ‘Have we had a greater tonnage through here? No,’ Hara said.
“Commissioner John Creighton said some commissioners proposed a 10 percent raise. ‘I just thought that was not warranted,’ Creighton said. Even the 6 percent proposed raise is on the high side of what he wanted, he said.”
Dinsmore also receives supplemental deferred compensation that “would be highly controversial if this were a CEO of a public corporation,” according to the article, which continues,
“The Port would not say how much Dinsmore has built up in his deferred-compensation account. But based on his contract, he apparently will receive more than $362,000 in deferred compensation from the Port in a lump sum when he retires early next year.
“Dinsmore also is enrolled in the state’s Public Employee Retirement System. Under that plan, he’s eligible for about $85,387 a year when he retires. If he gets the … raise, his annual retirement benefit would rise to about $88,395.”
For complete story and/or copyright info, see http://tinyurl.com/ynauxx
If the port commissioners want to give Dinsmore a fatter pension, they should pay for it themselves, instead of taking it out of the funds that pay my meager pension for my 30 years of drudgery in the state dungeons!
Too bad Richard Pope lost his port commissioner race. This shit wouldn’t happen if he were there. Richard is pretty close to being a cheap labor conservative — you know, those guys who think employees should work free. Since the port commissioner job is part-time, Richard might be able to handle it despite the problems in his chaotic personal life, although I think running a full-time court is another matter. That’s why I voted for your OPPONENT in the N.E. District Court race, Richard, even though you talk a good game here in the HA comment threads. But if you run for port commissioner again, I might vote for you! It would be hard to fuck up that job any worse than Davis is fucking up.
And they want us to pay TAXES to the port. Sheesh!!! That’s like paying taxes to pay basketball players’ salaries.
GOP DEFEATISTS BEGIN SURRENDER NEGOTIATIONS WITH TOWELHEADS
In other news, the Bush administration officially abandoned its “stay the course” rhetoric today. Their new buzzword is “flexibility.” The Vietnamization of the Iraq war has begun.
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/.....raq24.html
King County Republicans get it wrong.
They developed the website http://www.debeddyspropertytax.com that shows an amazing chart (click on her picture) of Kirkland’s “out of control spending” while Deb Eddy was mayor.
Too bad the actual data shows a very different story. Here it’s put together nicely by the city of Lynnwood comparing itself to Kirkland and others (during the timeframe mentioned in the misleading KC GOP site).
http://www.ci.lynnwood.wa.us/D.....atives.pdf
Oh yeah, another item in today’s news is the Bush administration is signaling it may increase troop levels in Iraq. You know — escalation. Richard Nixon is laughing in his grave!
12
Oops! Republicans are caught LYING again! Like those slimeballs who told black voters that Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican, and that GOP candidate in California who mailed a letter to 14,000 Hispanic voters saying they’d go to jail for voting — and then denied knowing anything about it.
Why are all Republicans such shameless fucking LIARS?!!
I wonder why Stefan never writes anything on his blog about GOP dirty tricks. Do you suppose it’s because he’s nothing but a partisan propagandist like me? Except the difference between me and Stefan is I don’t put up with Democratic dishonesty, corruption, or dirty tricks. For example, I criticized those Milwaukee Democrats who slashed tires! The tires didn’t do anything; the tires were innocent. They should have gone inside the building and slashed the Republicans throats instead — HEY JUST KIDDING!!! Ann Coulter gets paid for writing shit like that; I’m just an unpaid amateur who does it for fun. If she can do it for money, why can’t I do it for kicks? After all, since Coulter is a Republican and all the Republicans wildly cheered her for cracking jokes about killing liberals, they established the precedent for this kind of thing.
I see Roger is in top form today. I just want to remind everyone that my department will pay $50.00 for that rodent’s belt, dead or alive!
17
Why don’t you try to collect it yourself or are you too chickenshit. Bu-uh cluck-cluck-cluck! You must be a Republican. I’ll meet you at 7 PM at my burrow. Go to the big tree on the east side of the lake, take several paces to the left, and look for the hole. Bring a gun.
10 Remember (well, you probably weren’t there, Roger) when Lloyd Hara came to DL and told us he’s the only Port Commissioner with a background in accounting, and they won’t let him be on the audit committee. Hmmm.
He also pointed out that being a Commissioner is essentially a full-time job that pays only $500 a month–so most commissioners tend to either be retirees (which he is), independently wealthy, or open to…uh….shall we say, temptation? Also sounds like it would have been a lousy deal for Richard and his daughter had he actually won.
Mohammat? Muhammad? Muhammet? Mohammedans? Moslems? Muslims? The hell with it JCH: Mooooooooooooooooooooslims!!!

In a move some fear could open an avenue for terrorism, prospective cabbies would no longer have to prove they are in the country legally, under a measure proposed by taxi officials, The Post has learned. The Taxi and Limousine Commission will vote Wednesday on whether to reduce driver requirements to just a valid driver’s license and Social Security card and do away with proof of legal residency or citizenship. Hey would you trolls please remember to flush after taking a shit? You’re stinking up the place.
JCH’s anal warts seem to be acting up today.
Hey, JCH, you pathetic piece of shit,
I know that logic is alien to you, but I thought I’d ask anyway: if Muslims are such detestable creatures, then why is your president sending our troops over their to die so that an Islamic nation might attain “freedom”? Oh, and by the way, did I forget to tell you that you’re a pathetic piece of shit?
re 21, 22 23: The up-side to your lunacy is that any undecided person who happens to read this blog will definitely NOT be voting Republican.
You are the best proselyte for Liberal views than anyone!
Even “Gun Totin’ Dutch-Doored Negress Lesbians” are less dirty than your pernicious mind, JCH.
Kill one American, lose one Moooooooooooooooooslim city. I figure after 4 or 5 Mooooooooooooslim cities are turned to glass, the Moooooooooooooooooooooslim terrorists might cop a clue. The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) released a poll of 1,000 registered Moooooooooooooooooooooslim terrorist voters in the United States two weeks before U.S. Congressional elections.
A total of 84 percent of those surveyed said they consider themselves members of the Democratic Party, none say they are Republicans and 16 percent say they do not belong to any party.
Qweshun for you Burner supporters out there:
Why do you think single mothers should be forced to pay $2000 per year more in taxes?
Just wondering…
Folks, only in Seattle will the congregation treat people who are trying to save their schools so cruelly. Now all those years teaching them political correctness and they turn on you like rabid dogs Mr. Manhas had the right idea but lack the support from the school board and the teachers union. Now they will close the schools down and bus their undisciplined brats to the Eastside for an education. Wow Goldy your daughter will now have a future after all when she learns math, spelling, English, and reading. The school district will now be divided into four districts with new superintends earning about quarter the income. The Teacher Union should be excluded from representing the teachers for six years and the teacher should all reapply for their new jobs. Last but not least the parents should all be sent to political reeducation camps and educated on manners plus plain respect.
By ROBERT L. JAMIESON Jr.
P-I COLUMNIST
“Go back to India!” a crazed man shouted at last week’s Seattle School Board meeting. The verbal blast flew like buckshot at Raj Manhas, the beleaguered superintendent of Seattle Public Schools. What Manhas thought when those words peppered him was probably along these lines — no job is worth putting up with mean-spirited and personally petty rudeness.
What he said Monday — that he was quitting “in the interests of my family” — was surprise news that a few in Seattle might have seen coming.
The ignorant words at the meeting drew last blood, but Manhas was never really comfortable in his public skin.

Tell me again… what exactly is it you’re running against?
Can’t be the economy… stock market at all time high, unemployment at all time lows, personal wealth at all time high, home ownership at all time high…
Can’t be security… no attacks since 911 and you guys are clearly on the side of mooslim terrorists…
Can’t be the environment… global warming problem has been solved since there were ZERO hurricanes this year. None. Not one fucking one. BTW, does that make you wonder about your gawd Algore?

While yer at it, please answer the following:
1) How does a gas heavier than air somehow rise thirty fucking miles into the atomosphere. Explain the transport mechanism in some detail.
2) Explain how the 1% of man made gases puts it over the edge.
3) Explain why the “scientists” who promote this shit can’t get the reaction between ozone and fluorine to work in the lab.
4) Explain how you get ozone depletion data when it’s not actually measured.
5) Explain why there is no increase in rates of skin cancer. Explain why the plants that should be impacted aren’t.

Which one of you troglodytes is Ed Orcutt? Mark? JCH? Klake?
Hey Ed, give back the Abramoff money.
Look what you have now done pulled your ads for Jim McDermott. Wow Goldy cleaning house today?
Goldy why are you running ads for Jim McDermott on your web site? Why do your friends beat up on Republicans about their sins, and you all embrace this chap that supported Saddam’s war efforts? Now is Jimmy your new Icon for the Socialist Democrat Party, and you all now embrace everything he stands for today? Goldy when is he going to pay up his debt?
http://seattletimes.nwsource.c.....cdermott29 m.html
WASHINGTON — A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that U.S. Rep. Jim McDermott violated federal law by turning over an illegally taped telephone call to reporters nearly a decade ago.
In a 2-1 opinion, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled that McDermott violated the rights of House Majority Leader John Boehner, who was heard on the 1996 call involving former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
The court ordered McDermott to pay Boehner more than $700,000 for leaking the taped conversation. The figure includes $60,000 in damages and more than $600,000 in legal costs.
McDermott, D-Seattle, leaked a tape to The New York Times and other news organizations

I seem to recall something about Arab-Americans really loving Bush after getting the Taliban out of Afghanistan and removing Saddam from Iraq.
I guess politics really is a question of “What have you done for me lately?”
No worries though. You have the vote for plutocrats against the estate tax completely sewed up. That’ll be good for 2% of the vote anyhow.

Sounds like a good argument for every crackpot Muslim regime on the planet to acquire nuclear weapons as fast as they can. With you egging them on, I’m sure every mullah east of Suez will have his own ICBMs within 15 years.
Tax Cuts and Fed Revenue

Out of date, klake. Your link is no good, and the judgment against McDermott has been vacated. If you pull your head out of your ass once in a while and take a look around, you might have a better idea of what’s going on in the world.

Can one of oue Republican-apologist friends explain how we are doing a good job managinfg the reconstruction of Iraq?
“Those overhead costs have ranged from under 20 percent to as much as 55 percent of the budgets, according to the report, by the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction. On similar projects in the United States, those costs generally run to a few percent.”
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10.....r=homepage
Unless you believe shoveling money to Bush cronies is a good thing.
47
I don’t think Obama should run for president. Not yet. It’s not enough to be electable, you have to be able to govern. State legislature experience plus two years in the U.S. Senate is not enough preparation for the White House. He needs more seasoning and experience before he’s ready for the Big Job. Obama would be a compelling candidate if he served as Illinois governor before running for president — a big-state heartland governor with Senate experience would make a fantastic candidate!
47 (continued)
Of course Republicans will demonize Hillary because they can’t run against her on issues. Republicans lose on all the issues. I mean, how can they win by saying, “our platform is to fuck over 95% of you for the benefit of the other 5%?” So they have to throw rocks and keep voters from thinking about things like …
$2.13 an hour wages
47 million Americans with no health care
Endless and pointless war
Dragging America’s reputation through the gutter
Corporate welfare = 5 times as much $$$ as individual welfare
Hundreds of billions of $$$ in corruption
Eliminating Social Security and Medicare
Bush Inflation Tax
Shitty job market
Bend over Redneck, cuz we’re gonna shove Hillary up your ass!!!
49
I sure hope Newt runs, too! Not only that, I hope he’s your nominee!!

The Republicans are really screwed now!
Look at this just posted on P-I Website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only way a Clinton gets in office is if two republicans split the conservative vote.

Redneck, let’s try it without Social Security taxes, as Social Security taxes weren’t cut:
2000 – $1,372,376,000,000 (baseline year)
2001 – $1,297,063,000,000
2002 – $1,152,413,000,000
2003 – $1,069,364,000,000
2004 – $1,146,664,000,000
2005 – $1,279,114,000,000 (estimate)
Source of data: http://www.taxpolicycenter.org.....?Docid=203
By the way, you fucking liar, I never said there was no link between revenue and tax cuts — not even close! What I said was:
A tax rate of 0% results in no revenue. A tax rate of 100% results in no revenue, because there’s no incentive for economic activity. Therefore, a tax rate somewhere between 0% and 100% produces the maximum amount of revenue. When the tax rate is below this point, as it is most of the time in a democracy, a cut in the tax rate will result in less revenue. When the tax rate is above this point, a cut in the tax rate will result in more revenue.
Now, the link between tax rates and revenue is so clear in that analysis that it grabs you by the nuts and squeezes hard — if you bother to read it. We can only assume Redneck is an illiterate fuck, because he clearly hasn’t read what I wrote.
Redneck was full of shit when he said tax cuts always increase revenue. Just look at the numbers above. Hell, look at HIS number, unadjusted for FICA revenue! It took five years for gross federal revenues to catch up with where they were before Bush’s tax cuts. And you know why they’re catching up? Three reasons:
1) Higher corporate tax collections on record corporate profits. (Note: Republicans want to eliminate corporate taxes.)
2) Higher individual tax collections from CEOs skimming record salaries off corporate profits. (Note: A significant amount of CEO income was stolen from shareholders by backdating options.)
3) Population growth. More people = bigger economy = more tax revenues. Duh-uh.
Bush’s tax cuts did NOT produce higher revenues — they produced record deficits … and inflation. Fucking liar.
P.S. pay your gambling debt
RR it would be great if newt ran, 95% chance that the Dems retain the House, win the Senate and win the Presidency to boot. Every sane person knows that anyone that mark the welsher or kkklake support are morally inept and lying POSs.
As further evidence of Reichert’s poor voting record when it comes to Veterans. The IAVA ( Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America ) rated his voting record a D+.
(copied from IAVA’s website to explain how they derived their ratings)
Each IAVA Congressional Rating is based on a given legislator’s voting history on issues that affect US Troops, Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans and military families.
To calculate the Ratings, IAVA reviewed all legislation voted on in the Congress since September 11, 2001. For each piece of legislation that affected troops, veterans or military families, IAVA took a position either in support of, or in opposition to its passage. The letter grades were derived, using the scales below, from the percentage of times that each legislator’s vote matched the official IAVA stance.
A total of 169 House votes and 155 Senate votes were used to determine the ratings. You can view all of this legislation, either in a complete list or grouped by session, by clicking here. http://capwiz.com/iava/keyvotes.xc/?lvl=C
IAVA is a non-partisan, non-profit organization. These ratings were determined using a simple and transparent mathematical formula.

Information on Sample Legislation
TRICARE for Reservists
(108th Congress; Senate vote #282; July 16, 2003)
# Senators who voted in favor of this amendment were voting to allow Reservists and National Guard soldiers to buy-into the Defense Department’s health insurance plan at subsidized rates. IAVA supported this legislation.
# TRICARE is the Defense Department’s health insurance plan that is available at no cost to soldiers serving on active duty. Reservists and National Guard soldiers who are mobilized receive free TRICARE for a short period of time before and after their deployments. In 2003, a GAO report stated that 20% of these soldiers did not have health care insurance. This legislation was designed to address that problem.
# The Senate’s plan was adopted and enacted into law.
TRICARE for Reservists
(109th Congress; House vote # 221; May 25, 2005)
# Representatives who voted in favor of this motion were voting to extend free health care to all Reserve and National Guard soldiers. IAVA supported this legislation.
# After 2003 (see above), Congress extended TRICARE to allow Reservists and National Guard soldiers to buy-in at subsidized rates, dependent on their deployment status. Still many soldiers have not bought into the system and lack health insurance coverage.
# Although the medical readiness of the Reserves and National Guard is vital to the security of this nation, Congress refused to extend free TRICARE coverage to Reservists and National Guard soldiers.
Military Death Gratuity
(109th Congress; Senate vote #92; April 13, 2005)
# Senators who voted FOR this motion were voting AGAINST increasing the amount of money a spouse or family member receives when their loved one is killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. IAVA opposed this motion, which would have eliminated the proposed increase.
# Prior to this bill, the family of a US troop killed in action would only receive a $12,000 death gratuity from the government. This bill would increase that amount to $100,000.
# The motion was defeated, and the plan was adopted and enacted into law.
Funding for TBI Research
(109th Congress; Senate vote #222; August 2, 2006)
# Senators who voted FOR this motion were voting AGAINST increasing funding for Traumatic Brain Injury research by $2 million. IAVA opposed this motion.
# Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) has become the signature wound of the Iraq war. In a spending bill appropriating more than $400 billion, in a war that has cost hundreds of billions of dollars and counting, it is unconscionable that Congress can’t find an extra $2 million to treat an injury affecting more than 100,000 American Troops.
# Despite a clear need for greater funding for TBI research, this motion passed.

The thing is the Republicans do keep winning, even though all the bad stuff you listed is part of their agenda. And huge deficits. There’s a reason Ross Perot published United We Stand and Paul Tsongas released his Call to Economic Arms but the no Republican candidate came out with anything similar in the early 1990s. They were too busy running up the country credit card. So my thinking is that Americans who vote really want this stuff. More Katrina horrors, please. More people in debt please. More uneducated people in low paying jobs please. Either that, or they’re brainwashed.
I sure haven’t been able to make the Yanks out. 80% of the people living outside the US haven’t been able to figure out how shifting from a manufacturing to a consumption-only society is a good thing.

This is a hell of an ad.
Furball: More bullshittium?
President Bush entered office, the total federal debt – including debt to the public and debt owed the Social Security system – has risen from $5.7 trillion to $8.6 trillion.
http://taxprof.typepad.com/.sh.....gorized/re venue20growth.jpg
Why does this chart report tax receipts of $2.15 Trillion for 2005? Why are your numbers so depressed? Maybe Furball you are depressing!
Why do you not post the $2.41 Trillion for 2006?
The Treasury’s data revealed that the federal government spent $2.65 trillion in FY 2006 and collected $2.41 trillion. Individual income tax receipts totalled $1.04 trillion compared to $927 billion collected in FY 2005 and the $997.6 billion originally estimated in the FY 2006 budget. Corporate tax receipts totalled $354 billion, up from $278.3 billion in FY 2005 and the $277.1 billion originally estimated in the FY 2006 budget. The rest was other receipts.
My numbers DO NOT INCLUDE SS. Yours is as Puddy said… BULLSHITTIUM?

“You gotta love Robin Williams…… Even if he’s
nuts! Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with
the perfect plan. What we need now is for our UN
Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message.
He is seen wearing a t-shirt saying “I love New
York!” written in arabic.
Robin Williams’ plan…(Hard to argue with this
logic!)
“I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I
have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here’s
one plan.”
1) “The US will apologize to the world for our
“interference” in their affairs, past & present.
You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo,
Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of
those “good ole boys”, we will never “interfere”
again.
2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the
world, starting with Germany , South Korea , the
Middle East, and the Philippines . They don’t
want us there. We would station troops at our
borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes
in the fence.
3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their
affairs together and leave. We’ll give them a free
trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be
gathered up and deported immediately, regardless
of whom or where they are. They’re illegal!!!
France will welcome them.
4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked
and limited to 90 days unless given a special
permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will
be allowed in. If you don’t like it there,
change it yourself and don’t hide here. Asylum
would never be available to anyone. We don’t
need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.
5) No foreign “students” over age 21. The older
ones are the bombers. If they don’t attend
classes, they get a “D” and it’s back home baby.
6) The US will make a strong effort to become
self-sufficient energy wise. This will include
developing nonpolluting sources of energy but
will require a temporary drilling of oil in the
Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to
cope for a while.
7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing
countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they
don’t like it, we go someplace else. They can go
somewhere else to sell their production. (About
a week of the wells filling up the storage sites
would be enough.)
8) If there is a famine or other natural
catastrophe in the world, we will not
“interfere.” They can pray to Allah or whomever,
for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need.
Besides most of what we give them is stolen or
given to the army. The people who need it most
get very little, if anything.
9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island
someplace. We don’t need the spies and fair
weather friends here. Besides, the building would
make a good homeless shelter or lockup for
illegal aliens.
10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty
school. That way, no one can call us “Ugly
Americans” any longer. The Language we speak is
ENGLISH…learn it…or LEAVE…Now, isn’t that a
winner of a plan?
“The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying “Give
me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.”
She’s got a baseball bat and she’s yelling, ‘you
want a piece of me?’ ”
If you agree with the above forward it to
friends…If not, and I would be amazed, DELETE
it!!”
Dope on the rope is out their digging up sleaze on people again over at (U)sp
I think we need to address this unqualified candidate.
Here he attacks the people who want to uphold the constitution.
We want this as a Judge?
Why is he always trying to leave his Law practice, to get elected?
Is it hard work Richard?
Or like any Republican, you feel the big money is working in government, and getting the lobbyist money for your retirement.
Here’s what I posted over at Sleaze central. They don’t have values to post on, only fear.
As for Dope on rope Pope at 24
Maybe as private citizens they don’t want the sleaze like you and the guppy prying into their personal lives in attempt to ruin them.
(Hey maybe that’s why they want to protect the constitution?)
As for you, you ARE running for office, and when you put up sign with your name on them enough time, you gain name recognition.
At least this time you were smart enough not to put the (R) like your pals Mike! and Sheriff Hairdo don’t want to do either.
So why is it that Goldy likes you? I don’t know. You’re an often reprimanded attorney, and a perenial candidate for any position out there.
This probably leads to your failure to give adequate council to your clients. (I’d love to see your referral list, mostly from jail I suspect) Goldy must relate to you because you are both single fathers.
But you are a Candidate. So did you kill your wife, or beat or cheat on her? Are your divorce or murder trial papers open for us to look at?
Where can I go look them up, and get them published?
You want to be a Judge with those qualifications?
What is it a Daddy Bush thing? You want to get back at them for beating the hell out of an unqualified attorney as a Judge?
Come on Repugs, we know you love money more than anything, can you imagine the cost of appeals from this judges rulings?
Any attorney would be a fool not to file on a Pope ruling, the odds are in their favor, he does not know the law and is most likely wrong.
Come on, how about a little public disclosure on you. Let everyone know that you are a professional candidate with a worse record than the 62 Mets. You have multiple reprimands for failures in court, and that you beat your wife.
I can’t believe that those little red signs are doing the trick for you. It is definetely not your ACTUAL qualifications.
I think if you get in, It just shows how lazy the populice is in finding out about the candidates.
I think I will file my grievance now, that your signs are still out on the streets well after the time, by Law (the thing your running for, in case you didn’t know) need to be removed.
I think those come with a cash penalty per sign.
Yours and the guppies dirty sleaze hunts, make it why good people don’t run for office. Then we are left with the likes of you.

The last phrase (with the Statue of Liberty) is Robin Williams. The rest is some anonymous right-wing crank.
The fact that you think the world can be fixed using advice from someone who thinks like my Uncle Walter (before about 3 p.m. when the booze really kicks in and he starts getting plumb mean), explains a lot about a great many things.

“Why do you think single mothers should be forced to pay $2000 per year more in taxes?”
Why don’t you lay out the numbers for us so we can have some reason to believe you? I don’t berlieve that the Bush tax cuts reduced your average single working mother’s taxes by tahtamount.
Oh, and when you do, please factor in that Nancy Pelosi is saying that the Decmorats will seek to roll back cuts for those making over $200K, and that she will be setting the agenda and not a first-term Representative.

Why to be worried about Attack Dog Republicans. Check out this King County GOP website attacking Dem. Deb Eddy. At the bottom, you can see that they impore people to (and this is a DIRECT QUOTE): “If you care about constitutional rights to free speach, call Deb Eddy at (425) 454-0443.”
That’s right. Free Speach. Speach.

I love it when idiots like MTR (and his ilk) tout the “Republican Economic Recovery”. Gee, this past week the stock market finally passed early 2001 levels?
I did a quick spreadsheet calculation, which shows that if the DJIA had an average of an 8% annual return on investment for the years of the Bush administration, it should be at 18,603 by the end of the year.
Instead, we have the Republicans trying to tell us what great economomic managers they are, just because we have a stock market rally which finally breaks above the Feb. 2001 levels after SIX YEARS. Funny how the rally only occured once it was clear the Democrats were going to be in charge of the House again.
Besides, I suspect that the stock market will reverse itself after the November elections when oil prices shoot up again. If the oil prices don’t rise dramatically, its only because they know we are watching pretty closely for it now, and the oil companies might be a tad concerned about a Democratic House of Representatives holding energy hearings where the executives are actually subpoened and placed under oath.
Hey, if you Republicans are really interested in an investment which returns less than 8% over ten years, let me know. I’ve got some great ones for you. I’d like to get rich treating you the way you’ve been treating the rest of us for years!
Horsey’s in good form today, on the subject of the “Great Bush Economic Recovery:

So, the Washington State Ferry system used $800,000 in federal tax money to install a wi-fi network, and then the private contractor which manages it wants to charge passengers $29.95 per month to use it?
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/.....rry25.html
Man, I’ve got to start paying more attention to those Requests for Bids published in the Daily Journal of Commerce. It looks like a license to print money, when you take a public operation and turn it over to a private company to operate. I should get in on that act. Maybe I can get a contract to collect money for the IRS (no, wait, the Republicans have already contracted that out, too).
Wait a minute. Isn’t that pretty much what Mike McGavick is proposing to do with Social Security, create a new government agency to decide which private investment firms get to manage the “private” portion of our accounts?

Give me a break.
Don’t forget, the dinosaur extinction was Clinton’s fault too.

And the housing bubble is..what?
BTW, the so-called “dot.com bubble” was a stock market and venture capital phenomenon, and was not how the economy generated 22 million NET jobs under Clinton, including greatly reduced unemployment at the lowest end of our economic strata.
In New Jersey, the Supreme Court just ruled that the NJ legislature must make “the rights and benefits of civil marriage…equally available to same-sex couples.” Call it marriage, call it a duck, but protect equal protection under the law.
