The Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally meets tonight (and every Tuesday), 8PM at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E. I’m coming straight from our school’s PTA meeting, so you can be sure I’ll be needing a drink.
If you happen to be a liberal drinker on the other side of the mountains, the Tri-Cities chapter of DL also meets Tuesday nights, 7 PM, Atomic Ale, 1015 Lee Blvd., in Richland. Go ask Jimmy for more details.
If Stefan brings his lawn, I’ll shit on it.
Stefan, why didn’t you share the windfall from your lawsuit against Dean Logan and King County with the generous donors to your “legal action fund” who paid for the lawsuit?
Stefan, how come you don’t have a radio show?
Looking at photos of National Guard units rolling into N’awlins (for the uninitiated, that’s how New Orleans lightheartedly often spell their city name), how do you folks like the ‘Police State’ that Nagin and Blanco have created for every day crime patrol?
We’re expecting you guys to scream any minute about it.
….waiting….
President Bush thinks we should stay in Iraq forever, as far as the eye can see. He’s said it himself. He says, ‘Getting out of Iraq is up to presidents who come after me.’ I don’t agree. That’s too long. I don’t know if we’ll be able to get our troops out of Iraq in 6 months or even a year. But I want to start working on getting them home as soon as I get into office. And staying in Iraq for at least three more years, like President Bush wants, is too long.
Congressman Reichert is with President Bush on this. More rubber stamps. More blank checks. I disagree.
We’ve got too many challenges around the world to keep burning through money and our men and women in uniform just because President Bush isn’t man enough to admit that his policies aren’t working.
From the Far-Left Echo Chamber at KOS: “So our boys were tortured—HOW QUAINT.”
This is why America doesn’t trust the ‘patriotism’ of the left. They think we’re the bad guys.
Why not make Iraq a state? Then they can send corrupt Republican congressmen to D.C., too! And wouldn’t it be great to see a photo of a GOP caucus meeting with some guys wearing tablecloths mugging the camera? ha-ha-ha
twilight zone
Link to the place on Kos where that was said.
twilight zone @ 4
I seem to recall that something like half of the police force did not return. What are they supposed to do when crime spikes?
From the Far-Left (sic) Echo Chamber at KOS: “So our boys were tortured—HOW QUAINT.”
This is why America doesn’t trust the ‘patriotism’ of the left. They think we’re the bad guys.
To borrow from Paul Harvey… and now, the rest of the story:
Here is the full diary,
The bodies of the two captured U.S. soldiers were found in Iraq – bearing signs of “barbaric torture.”
How quaint.
I hope Alberto Gonzales and John Yoo will sleep well tonight, with visions of those boys’ bodies and the horrible barbarities inflicted upon them dancing in their heads. Perhaps Gonzales, and Yoo, and Rumsfeld and Bush will be able to envision the same inhumanities being visited upon their family members and loved ones as they drift off to peaceful slumber.
This cannot stand. We cannot allow this administration and its incomprehensible defense of and support for torture in violation of the “quaint” Geneva Conventions to remain.
The chickens have come home to roost. As ye sow, so shall ye reap.
I weep for my country, and for the families and loved ones of those in Iraq and Afghanistan, those yet living and those already dead.
Peace.
Yes, according to the administration, the Geneva conventions are “quaint.” When we refuse to treat our enemies according to the rules of war, we undermine our moral authority to condemn the mistreatment our our soldiers, and the diarist was calling attention to that.
The kind of misleading attack twilight zone engaged in here is the reason the country is turning away from right-wing extremism.
twilight zone,
Got a link, or do you believe every bit of Bullcrap that Limbaugh pukes into your ears?
6
I just read DailyKOS and didn’t find such a comment, although if it’s there you can bet the wingnut liar @6 quoted it out of context — the only people who think torture is “quaint” are Republicans, who themselves are practitioners of it.
But I did find this:
“Republicans defeated a Democratic measure calling for an investigation into waste and fraud in military contracts today …. By a 52-to-44 vote, the Senate rejected the proposal by Senator Byron L. Dorgan, Democrat of North Dakota, calling for a panel like the one led by Harry Truman when he was a Senator, which uncovered many abuses in military spending during World War II. Mr. Dorgan said that military spending is the worst it has ever been ‘right now — right now! I think the American taxpayers are being fleeced.'”
For decades, Republicans have whined about “waste, fraud, and abuse” in government. So what do they do? They vote against investigating waste, fraud, and abuse in government.
I also found this:
“Republicans kill troops,”
which is true; and also this:
“I’ve asked this before, but what is it about the relatives of people killed by terrorists that these wingnuts hate so much? Recall that Ann Coulter smeared the widows of 9/11 victims and that many righty bloggers smeared the father of Nick Berg, who was beheaded in Iraq. Their sin, of course, was that they criticized America and George Bush. Let me put this as clearly as I can: To (wingnuts), the pain of those who lost loved ones to this war only matters to the extent that the bereaved allow their grief to be used to prop up the war effort and Bush himself. If the bereaved relatives don’t allow their grief to be used in this fashion, their sacrifice and loss no longer matter a whit — they’re not to be pitied or empathized with, but scorned and humiliated as brutally as possible. Despicable. Everything is viewed by partisan lenses by these people. And those who don’t slot nicely into the ‘Bush is the greatest and infallible!’ camp must be viciously attacked. They are really, really, ugly people.”
which also is true, and beneath contempt.
Hey, why don’t we talk about what someone on Kos thinks of tortured American soldiers?
“CNN reports that Dubai is still controlling the ports, and that Congress silently killed legislation that would have helped ensure the ports stay American-owned. Lou Dobbs thinks the Republican Congress and the Bush White House have played a fast one on the American people.“
10
I was right — the wingnut liar @6 quoted out of context.
Here is why the insurgents torture our guys: Because we torture their guys. Payback.
Now … would you wingnuts like to know why your torturing Iraqis was a bad fucking idea?
Markos didn’t write it, it was a diary found here:
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/6/20/101853/419
The right-wingers who support torture are responsible for the horrific deaths of those two G.I.s. How do you bastards think the families feel — getting back the bruised, headless bodies of their sons? You fuckers are responsible for this.
You gotta understand, sarcasm is lost on these people. As is truth.
personally, I’m fine with the tanks in N’awlins. It’s the left that screams at heavy-handed attempts at law and order. Look at WTO–they thought THE POLICE were the bad guys ! c’mon, you all know I’m right.
and TJ, the difference between far-left echo-chamber KOS and the rest of the country is tha the KOS-readers think that America is the bad guy. Don’t even try to deny it. WHO is acting more often (in fact, FAR more often) according to Geneva conventions? American soldiers, or Al Qaeda terrorists who routinely blow up families in pizza parlors for fun? Hint, if you say Al Qaeda terrorists, you’re wrong. KOS folk actually believe that America is the same or more evil than Al Qaeda. Everyone kind of sees that in you, and that’s why democrats are not trusted with national defense.
The KOS entry is an excuse to yet again say that America is the bad guy, when normal people know that we are the ones uprooting a creep like Saddam while you guys make excuses for him and his rape rooms. You never blame Al Qaeda for anything that they do—everything of which has not one bit of regard for anything like Geneva conventions. In fact, nothing they do does. They hide behind women and children, and they fire from Mosques. They know what rules our guys have to fight under, and they do everything chicken little thing opposite of it they can, to gain an edge. Then, as they shoot from the Mosque and put little kids in front of them, they cry “Those bad Americans—look at them. So evil (while hoping they score more points with the American left, because they know that you are their REAL weapons.)
Truth is tough, but someone’s gotta tell it to you.
Here’s something to podcast liberally about: look what happens when Bush watches something besides Fox News:
Bush to Create World’s Largest Marine Protected Area Near Hawaii
President Bush today will create the world’s largest marine protected area, a total of 140,000 square miles of Pacific Ocean surrounding a necklace of islands and atolls that stretch from the main Hawaiian Islands to Midway Atoll and beyond, senior administration officials said.
The decision is a turnaround for the administration, which five years ago considered stripping more limited protections from the area that President Clinton had declared a coral reef ecosystem reserve. It’s also a sharp departure for an administration that has pushed to privatize some federal lands and has designated less wilderness than most presidents over the last 40 years.
A turning point came in April, when Bush sat through a 65-minute private White House screening of a PBS documentary that unveiled the beauty of — and perils facing — the archipelago’s aquamarine waters and its nesting seabirds, sea turtles and sleepy-eyed monk seals, all threatened by extinction.
The film seemed to catch Bush’s imagination, according to senior officials and others in attendance. The president popped up from his front-row seat after the screening; congratulated filmmaker Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of the late underwater explorer Jacques Cousteau; and urged the White House staff to get moving on protecting these waters.

We don’t think “America” is the bad guy. We think wingnut liars like you are the “bad guys.” There’s a difference.
18
You’re not “America.” You’re vermin that crawled out of a sewer.
The KOS entry is an excuse to yet again say that America is the bad guy
No, it is not, and your confusion on this point reveals a lot about the extremist right-wing. The diarist was criticizing the nation’s leadership, not the nation. Unfortunately, the authoritarian cultists of the right can’t see the difference.
Mr Berg can grieve his son and will get our condolences.
Up until he starts spouting talking points that cannot be countered because of his status as a grieving father.
At that point he becomes another talking head.
Yeah, that makes those who don’t play along “mean” and “evil.”
But we’ve always been called that (or worse) so leave the talking points to the politicos
..20–then how come NOBODY CHEERED (and some BOOED) when Hillary told Take Back America crowd they really ought to support the troops??????????
22
Don’t make excuses for these guys; “twilight zone” is not confused, he’s a fucking liar.
why did leftists (who probably read KOS, betcha they do) try to block military shipments for Iraq????? Were they supporting the troops????? The troops don’t think so.
While you are at “Drinking Liberally”, be sure to record the Frontline episode “The Dark Side” being broadcast tonight on your local PBS station at 10:00 P.M. It’s a 90-minute expose on Cheney and Rumsfield’s manipulation of the U.S. intelligence apparatus to justify the invasion of Iraq.
“The apparent circularity of the pro-war machinations is especially disturbing. Then-New York Times reporter Judith Miller would get off-the-record info from the White House about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, print the claims in Sunday’s paper, and then Cheney, Condoleezza Rice and others would cite the articles as evidence on the Sunday talk shows to justify the invasion.”
Source: http://archives.seattletimes.n.....=frontline
Ah yes, I was wondering when the environmental Bush would be mentioned.
That’s probably a very good thing that GWB did in Hawaii. The fishemen don’t like it, but they must not be big contributors.
It doesn’t make up for gutting enforcement of clean air laws, for increasing the amount of arsenic that can be in drinking water, nor any of the other environmental outrages of the past 6 years.
But the campaign ads will look very nice, I’m sure.
then how come NOBODY CHEERED (and some BOOED) when Hillary told Take Back America crowd they really ought to support the troops??????????

PENTAGON CLASSIFIES HOMOSEXUALITY AS “MENTAL DISORDER”
The Associated Press reported today:
“WASHINGTON (June 19) – A Pentagon document classifies homosexuality as a mental disorder, decades after mental health experts abandoned that position.
“The document outlines retirement or other discharge policies for service members with physical disabilities, and in a section on defects lists homosexuality alongside mental retardation and personality disorders.”

Roger, get a job or some volunteer work to keep you busy. You spend too much time here.
“WHO is acting more often (in fact, FAR more often) according to Geneva conventions? American soldiers, or Al Qaeda terrorists who routinely blow up families in pizza parlors for fun?”
You seem to be asking: “who is acting “more often” according to the Geneva Conventions: the drafters and signatories to the Convention, for whom they are the “law of the land” according to the Constitution, or the citizens in the nation that the former invaded and occupied?” Hmmm, tough question indeed.
“Hint, if you say Al Qaeda terrorists, you’re wrong.”
Hint: if you think the al-Qaeda of Usama bin Laden is operating in Iraq, you’re certainly wrong, despite Zarqawi’s renaming of his organization (formerly Jama’at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, or Monotheism and Holy War). Bn Laden condemns Zarqawi’s killing of Muslims, for example.
“KOS folk actually believe that America is the same or more evil than Al Qaeda.”
KOS folk (and, I think, Democrats) believe that our nation can and should operate under a somewhat a higher moral and legal standard than al Qaeda.
“Everyone kind of sees that in you, and that’s why democrats are not trusted with national defense.
Except during World War II, the Korean War, the
Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam….
“we are the ones uprooting a creep like Saddam while you guys make excuses for him and his rape rooms.”
Who’s we, Kimo Sabe? When was your tour of duty?
“You never blame Al Qaeda for anything…They hide behind women and children, and they fire from Mosques.”
You seem to be confusing al Qaeda with the insurgency in Iraq. They’re not the same thing. You’d think someone like you who fought there would know this.
“They know what rules our guys have to fight under, and they do everything chicken little thing opposite of it they can, to gain an edge. Then, as they shoot from the Mosque and put little kids in front of them, they cry “Those bad Americans—look at them. So evil (while hoping they score more points with the American left, because they know that you are their REAL weapons.)”
Actually, what the insurgents mostly do is blow up car bombs. Holing up in a mosque is pretty rare for them. The car bomb is their weapon of choice, and the president has pretty much said that we don’t have an answer for them, but we’re going to to stay there anyway, never increasing our troop strength or drawing it down, for the rest of his presidency. Throwing treasure and lives down a rat hole of an insoluble insurgency endlessly doesn’t sound like a plan to me. Why does it sound like one to you?
Topics for tonight’s Drinking Liberlly will be:
1) Why, given the lethality of the jihad terrorists, do we leftists pretend that some kind of “peace” can be made with them? Why are we leaving the battlfield with this terrifying dragon to the right? What happened to our courage?
2) What happened to the great progressive ideas we cherish, ideas that were destined to change the world for the better, that we have degenerated into foul-mouthed spwewers of hatred, vulgarity and unceasing fetor? Is there nothing noble in our ideas and ideals left? Why are we such inelegant sewer dwellers?
das
“Why, given the lethality of the jihad terrorists, do we leftists pretend that some kind of “peace” can be made with them?”
Umm, who’s saying (or “pretending,” if you will) that? The progessives and liberals I know say things like:
1. bin Laden wasn’t allied with Saddam and Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, so WTF are we doing there?
2. The 20th century experience has been that absent brutal repression a la Tibet or the Iron Curtain countries, occupation DOES NOT WORK, and occupiers are driven out eventually by the implacable resistance of the inhabitants.
3. Terrorism isn’t a group, it’s a tactic, and the best way to make sure that NEW terroists are not created as you confront the current ones (and we DO confront the current ones) is to improve conditions in their environments. When more are created all the time, you can’t just kill them all no matter how bloodthirsty and cruel you make your nation become.
4. Confronting and defeating terrorists according to the liberal view would include things like capturing bin Laden. Too vbad that for those in power it does not.
das @ 36
Why is it that the chestpounding, macho, let’s-go-kick-some-terrorist-ass, rightwingers are so scared that they’re willing to give up their civil liberties for some false sense of security? Is freedom so unimportant to you cowards that you’ll let the government listen to our every conversation, walk into our homes without knocking, intercept our emails, and whatever else its doing just on the offchance that somehow such snooping will prevent some act of terrorism? What motivates you purveyors of faux values to canonize filth like Ann Coulter while claiming to understand the Gospel? Is this nation so unimportant to you that you would tear it apart and destroy it just to satisfy your partisan wet dreams? How can conservatives, who used to laud individualism, worship at the altar of George W. Bush, blindly following his every whim while refusing to recognize that he was never anything special? Conservatives used to have something to offer. Now, they would be just silly annoyances, except for the irreparable harm they are rendering upon the nation.
Roger, I’ll take the bait……. Is it inherited, is it genetic, is it choice?
What is homosexuality? Where does it come from? Is it normal mating behavior?

You should ask the AMA and the American Psychiatric Association, who removed homosexuality from its list of mental illnesses 30 years ago.
That said, there is some recent evidence of differences in the brains of homosexuals and heterosexuals, which bolsters the hypothesis that it is innate.

You forgot this one:
3) In an effort to understand why all wingnuts are such fucking liars, we will examine the mental pathologies that often accompany cases of advanced syphillis.
Again, the right-wing is trying to paint the Democrats as less than patriotic, less manly, for not engaging in a knee-jerk reaction to terrorists in Iraq.
Of course, this ignores the fact that Bush is doing exactly what Bin Laden wanted him to do. For years Bin Laden had been going around the middle east, arguing that Americans were evil, that they wanted to occupy arab countries to steal their oil, and that they despised muslims and engaged in torture. His efforts met with only limited success (measured in terms of recruits), because most of those in the Middle East looked around, and didn’t see any Americans trying to steel their oil or kill them.
He finally goads Bush into action. Even the Muslim world accepts the war in Afganistan, because the Taliban had become an embarrassment to them, also. Foreign fighters recruited by Bin Laden to fight the Americans in Afganistan were perpelexed and dis-illusioned when they found themselves not fighting the Americans, but instead fighting other Muslims.
But then Bush gets into Iraq, and the situation reverses itself. Iraq becomes the main propoganda point, and recruiting tool, for thousands of Al Quida fighters from around the Middle East. Bin Laden points to the permanant bases we are building there, and challenges young Saudis, Kuwaitis, Jordanians, and Palestinians to come free the land from the clutches of the crusaders.
Bush and company should understand this – its basically the same Karl Rove strategy which they have used in the past several elections. Whether using gay marriage or 9/11, they gather emotional support from their base by pointing to these outside “threats”.
In fact, I’m beginning to wonder if Bush and Bin Laden don’t really need each other to exist. Bin Laden would essentially be a broken-down hermit, without support, if not for Bush’s war in Iraq. Bush would probably not have won the 2004 election if not for Bin-Laden’s “October Surprise” videotape, released within hours of the last Presidential debate.
Perhaps the worst thing that could happen to Bush, politically, is for Bin Laden to be captured or killed?
John Carlson has a great discussion on about the KOS “Quaint” column. Loved when he said that the Left is claiming “we had it coming” (funny, but that’s what they said (esp. Bill clinton) about 9-11, too), and essentially sounding as though they believe that Al Qaeda was acting all hearts and flowers and honorably until the United States showed up. Sorry, Al Qaeda had NEVER been a good and gracious organization. They are TERRORISTS. Not U.S. soldiers who get imprisoned when they wrong a P.O.W.
The guy who killed these soldiers will not be put in jail by his peers.
He will be celebrated.
Still can’t tell the difference between a U.S. soldier and an Al Qaeda terrorists? Then I’m sorry for you. And you’ll continue to excuse terrorists time after time after time. And you’ll still be wondering why you guys aren’t trusted to defend America. Well, when you make no distinction between your own good country and Al Qaeda, then you never will be trusted to defend America, because you believe it is evil.

Homosexuality appears to have existed in most if not all human societies throughout record history, suggesting it is not a purely learned behavior or cultural phenomenon. Also, homosexuality is not confined to homo sapiens; scientists have observed homosexual behavior among many animal species, lending further credence to arguments that homosexuality is a product of biology. However, to date, scientists have not agreed on a specific biological mechanism (or mechanisms) to explain variant sexual orientatiion. For a more detailed discussion of the biological evidence and theories, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B.....rientation
39
We also have the anecdotal evidence of gays who tell us they didn’t choose to be homosexual.
39
Since sexual drive can (and does) vary among individual humans, it stands to reason that it also could be reversed in some humans.

So you’re saying John Carlson is an illiterate fool? Thanks. I won’t waste any more time on him.
You guys seem hard-pressed to acknowledge that our military is 99.9% (or more) of the time acting according to Geneva conv. And how often is it that Al Qaeda conforms to same???? The insurgency, if you want to call it (those are Al Qaeda people, but who cares–they’re beheaders, nonetheless)–how often do they fight and act toward their P.O.W.s according to Geneva?????
48
Liberals never claimed America “had it coming.” You seem to be forgetting the two cities hit by Al Qaeda — New York and Washington, D.C. — vote overwhelmingly Democratic, and a lot of people who considered themselves liberals died on those planes and in those buildings.
twilight zone, you are a disgusting scumbag liar. Why do you hate Americans, you fucking traitor?

ROGER RABBIT RIDDLE
Q: What do you call someone who tries to put his dick in his mouth and his thumb in his ass?
A: A dyslexic Republican.
55–Al Qaeda doesn’t care who’s liberal and who’s not!! The left was sqawking that we had it coming. Bill Clinton was singing that song to a bunch of college kids at Georgetown. it was appalling! And here we go again—no criticism of the terorists who didn’t seem to have Geneva convention on their mind before they killed our two soldiers! NONE! It’s always–well, we deserved it. Look at what the U.S. has done! We’re evil, etc. can we all just see a little disgust at Al Qaeda from you all??? It would help your cause.
54
Beat you to it — I posted that a couple weeks ago. So now you’ve stooped to copying and pasting Roger Rabbit?

Hey Kevin, you unpatriotic fuck — what do you think of the fact that U.S. troops in Iraq booed Hillary Clinton for saying she opposes immediate withdrawal?

no cites? I didn’t think so. Got a question for ya, good buddy:
Have you donated to Cher’s helmet fund? If not, why not? Don’t you support our troops? Don’t you want them to be safe?

Of course the terrorists are evil! THE TERRORISTS ARE EVIL!!! Does that do it for you? Now it’s my turn:
REPUBLICANS ARE EVIL, TOO
..still hoping to someday hear leftists complain about how evil the terrorists are. We just don’t hear it.
Read this slowly. Read it again if you have to (you will).
The left and the right both believe the terrorists are evil people. We disagree over the question of how to combat them.
The military should act in accordance with the Geneva Convention 100% of the time. If, to take a purely hypothetical example, it was ever deemed necessary to take the extreme measure of torturing a prisoner it should be done by an organization outside of the military, known to be capable of keeping state secrets ie. if anyone ever discovered it they wouldn’t live to tell the tale.
In other words, Sp4s shouldn’t be running around whooping it up over attacking a prisoner, complete with digital photos.
Just like before 2001.
Sophomoric twits do not control the debate here. Posing false choices is grade-school type debating.
If combatants are captured, regardless of how evil they may be, captors in the US military should not harm them unless they become violent or try to escape.
PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS!!!
Roger Rabbit mailed a $99 donation to Operation Helmet to buy a deluxe helmet upgrade kit for one U.S. soldier serving in Afghanistan or Iraq!
Now let’s see you wingfucks who bray about how patriotic you are do the same thing. Put your money where your mouth is! I did! If Roger Rabbit can do it, so can you.
The fact Cher endorsed this charity is no excuse for refusing to support our troops! The money helps the troops, not to Cher.
Operation Helmet’s mailing address is:
Operation Helmet
74 Greenview Street
Montgomery, TX 77356
According to their web site, donations are tax deductible.
HEY WINGFUCKS!!! Because your ersatz president is too cheap to buy decent helmets for our soldiers, it’s up to us! Roger Rabbit has donated $99 to buy a deluxe helmet upgrade kit for a U.S. soldier. Now it’s your turn!
Any rightwinger who doesn’t donate to Operation Helmet is supporting the terrorists.
Any rightwinger who doesn’t donate to Operation Helmet is helping terrorists kill American soldiers.
Any rightwinger who doesn’t donate to Operation Helmet is unpatriotic.
Eponymous twilight zone
I know that juggling more than one concept in your brain at the same time is a challenge, but just try. Conceptualize this: a person can (1) hate terrorists; (2) be embarrassed by the Bush Administration’s foreign policy; and (3) love this country. And, a person can do all three of those things at the same time. Imagine that.
Re: #19….methinks there’s more to the story.
I’ll betcha if you check you’ll find that there are PEOPLE on those islands that are about to be surrounded by Bush’s lovely “marine wildlife refuge”. Now, what do you think those people have historically done for a living? FISH. So now instead they get to work for piddling wages in the sweatshop garment factories in the Marshalls making clothes that can then be sold here with labels that say ‘Made in USA”. This puts the final touches on one of Jack Abramoff’s unfinished projects.
Just another scam, folks. Move along now…

You weeping lib dems have become so feminized you probably squat to pee. No wonder N. Korea and Iran don’t fear us. You defeatists make us look weak and invite further attacks upon America. Gen. Giap said that his greatest ally against America was the American left. Osama probably feels the same way.

Contrary to what you fascists think, the inability to think is not an attribute of a strong and courageous person.
I don’t find much charm, nor take much pleasure in a once progressive left (I am a former member) now degenerated into a slurry of foam-flecked, raw invective and vulgar bilge as demonstrated by Goldy’s palace guards here on HA. I guess I just feel sorry for the left. Their big bad enemies are the John Carlsons and Tim Eyman’s of the world. And this while jihad fascists murder with all the thoughtlessness of blinking. And O how leftoids love to rant about their curtailed civil liberties – as if their streaming chant of “Fuck Bush” has been brooked by a single micron. Leftoids so want to be legendary figures delivering up corruscating speeches that will turn the hearts of the masses to rise up and slay their capitalist overlords -But –alas, that age has passed, and it prbably will not happen in their lifetimes. Plain old humdrum America is not good enough for them. What the left shares with the Jihad slayers is a wish for purity. The jihad murderers would truncate the excesses of the west with bombs; the left with social management; but the longing for purity is common to both.

Anyone who played third or forth fiddle to Chris Vance is a loser.

Bullshit! Rightwing myth.
How many of you fascists have donated to Operation Helmet? I’ll bet none of you have.
Barbaric Torture – Shoot a Rabbit – Skin it – and then make
RABBIT STEW
1 three pound rabbit
6 small onions, chopped
1 bay leaf
½ cup chopped celery
2 tsp. salt
2 cups diced carrots
3 raw potatoes, cut up
3 tbs. flour
1 tbs. chopped parsley
Clean rabbit and soak in salted water. Drain, disjoint it in pieces for serving and place in a large kettle with onions, bay leaf, celery and salt. Cover with cold water and cook slowly until tender, about two hours. Add chopped carrots and potatoes and continue cooking until these vegetables are done. Smooth flour with a little cold water and add slowly. When thickened, add chopped parsley and serve hot on HorsesAss.Org.
Problem with this recipe is everyone would still have a bad taste in their mouths just all the other rabbits here do.
Hey trollfucks! Roger Rabbit isn’t coming to DL tonight. You can leave the stakeout now.

I’ll supply a rabbit if you pull down your pants and bend over for 5 seconds. It should be big enough for the stew in 6 weeks.

All the alcohol “warriors” going to the bar for their weekly dose of liquid courage.
“President Bush thinks we should stay in Iraq forever, as far as the eye can see. And staying in Iraq for at least three more years, like President Bush wants, is too long.” – DaddyLove
What about Germany? The troops have been there over 60 years! And South Korea? Japan? Bosnia??? Hypocrit!
wow! This thread already has nearly 100 comments! That’s more than the pathetic little competing blog gets in six months.
How many of you sunshine patriots have sent your donations to Operation Helmet? None, I’ll bet.
It’s a sad state of affairs when U.S. troops in combat zones must depend on donations from civic-minded patriots like Roger Rabbit for basic equipment. The government should be buying these helmets for them. But Bush & Co. have other priorities — namely, another $90 billion of tax cuts for the super-wealthy so they can build more McMansions and buy bigger yachts.
What’s even sadder is that people who bray the loudest about “supporting the troops,” support them the least when it’s time to break out their checkbooks. Roger Rabbit sent $99 to Operation Helmet. What have you wingnut pikers done to support the troops, besides blowing hot air out of your asses?
wow! this thread is up to 100 posts. The sucky little competing blog is lucky to get 3 comments a week. All of Stefan’s fans are over here on HA sucking rabbit dick.
Well, it’s not hard to get to 100 posts when you have the same guy posting 50 of them, now is it?

No, what is sad is how liberals will try to use this as an issue when it is not true. Perhaps if the liberals wouldn’t block shipments of that equipment at the Port of OLympia, the troops would have what they need. The hypcirsy is how liberals lie about troops not having equipment and block it at the Port of Olympia the next. That is what is sad.
