    GOP candidate Don Goldwater, in a speech on Saturday to members of the right-wing Minuteman militia group, promised that if elected governor of Arizona, he will “put illegal immigrants in a tent city on the border and use their labor to build” a 700-mile wall on the Arizona-Mexico border.

    Goldwater didn’t explain what legal authority he intends to rely on to put the immigrants in a “tent city” and force them to work. The news article doesn’t indicate whether he was waving a copy of “Mein Kampf” as he spoke to the small crowd of militia nuts.

    To answer your question, no, I have not (yet) cut him up in the bathtub, and buried him in the backyard. I’ve certainly wanted to. Mr. Cynical has been a real bear lately. You see, he has had something of a hemroids problem lately.

    He just had surgery for it, and his recovery has made it difficult for him so sit on his arse and post comments on a blog. Part of the problem is that, sometimes when he posts, he starts laughing maniacally. That causes him to bounce around and also leads to a bout of severe flatulence.

    The whole thing leaves him in extreme agony, the poor dear.

    In any case, baring any complications from eating unshelled sunflower seeds, Mr. Cynical should be back “in shape” and ready to entertain you soon.

    New York City Losing Blacks, Census Shows

    An accelerating exodus of American-born blacks, coupled with slight declines in birthrates and a slowing influx of Caribbean and African immigrants, have produced a decline in New York City’s black population for the first time since the draft riots during the Civil War, according to preliminary census estimates.
    An analysis of the latest figures, which show the city with 30,000 fewer black residents in 2004 than in 2000, also revealed stark contrasts in the migration patterns of blacks and whites.
    While white New Yorkers are still more likely than blacks to leave the city, they are also more likely to relocate to the nearby suburbs (which is where half the whites move) or elsewhere in the Northeast, or to scatter to other cities and retirement communities across the country. Moreover, New York remains a magnet for whites from most other states.
    In contrast, 7 in 10 black people who are moving leave the region altogether. And, unlike black migrants from Chicago, Philadelphia and Detroit, most of them go to the South, especially to Florida, the Carolinas and Georgia. The rest move to states like California, Ohio, Illinois and Michigan with large black populations.

    “We’re going through the right steps,” said Brian Churchill, a former regional biologist with the B.C. Environment Ministry who now chairs a Stone’s sheep science advisory committee overseeing the research. “The earth-shaking part is that the government won’t make it open for tenure sales until it gets the research results in.     Six months after Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans, bodies are still being pulled from wrecked and rotting homes.
    Firefighters in hard hats with cadaver dogs found the latest victim on Monday in a house that had been inspected months ago.

    Steve Glynn, chief of special operations for the New Orleans Fire Department, said it was the second corpse found since recovery efforts resumed on Friday.
    The race and gender of the body found on Monday in the black Lower Ninth Ward could not be determined, Glynn said.
    “I don’t want to be too graphic,” Glynn added. “But it was confusing at first.”
    The official door-to-door search of New Orleans ended
    on 3 October with a toll of 972.
    Since then, 131 more bodies have been found. Some by officials, some by horror-struck friends and family members and some by insurance inspectors

Since your education is so superior that it produces a sentence like “Then that might be the reason folks do not buying their papers,” can come up with a good reason for the waste of over two-thousand brave American soldiers.

    There are, in reality, three reasons why Bush invaded Iraq.

    1) He wanted to. He saw it as his path out of the shadow of his father.

    2) He honestly believed that in the wake of 9/11 that you had to take the fight to the terrorist. He saw Iraq as an easy, simple way to do this.

    3) Because of the two above reasons, he ignored all the cautions against a war and declared a theory of pre-emption. Contrary information was either ignored by him, or filtered out by his lackeys. Weapons of Mass Destruction were the selling point of this strategy, even though the information backing this reason was notoriously lacking, and even though the CIA was throwing up a ton of warnings because the weapons inspectors were coming up with nothing.

    We now know by the various memos form the British Government that Bush was going to war even when he publicly denied this. We now know that most of the justification that Colin Powel presented to the UN was false (and Powel has disavowed it). We know that Rumsfield was asking for a Iraq war plan on September 12. We now know that the administration ignored the advice of its senior military commanders who recommended more troops and taking the insurgency seriously. For the want of a little civil order, a country may be lost.

    But, obviously, you know the true reason for all of this. Care to let us in on your special knowledge? Daddy, what’s Iraq?

    Shortly after the accident a Highway Patrolman came on the scene. He could hear Bessie moaning and groaning so he went over to her. After he looked at her, he took out his gun and shot her between the eyes.
