Ooops… almost forgot. The Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally meets tonight (and every Tuesday), 8PM at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E.
But I’m on the other coast, so I won’t be there.

I’ll be joining Lynn of Evergreen Politics and Andrew of Northwest Progressive Institute in a panel discussion on blogging at this evening’s meeting of the 43rd District Democrats. The meeting starts at 7:30pm, University Baptist Church, 4554 12th Ave. NE. The discussion will be moderated by N in Seattle; more details on his blog, Peace Tree Farm.
Afterwards, a bunch of us plan on heading over to the Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally, which meets tonight (and every Tuesday), 8PM at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E. We’ll be a little late at DL, but all the more thirsty.
All are welcome at both events, so please join me for a fascinating discussion on the growing influence of the progressive blogosphere, followed by some more post-election gloating and an icy-cold pint of Manny’s Pale Ale.

Yes, even on election night, the Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally meets tonight (and every Tuesday), 8PM at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E.
I’m going to be doing a little election night party hopping, but I’ll be stopping by DL either early, or late… or both. The Montlake Ale House has free wireless internet access, so I may post some election night updates from the festivities. Hope to see you all there… in a celebratory mood.

Tonight I’m doing one of those dad-daughter things, so I will likely not be able to attend. But I understand that Port Authority candidate Rich Berkowitz will be there… so who needs me?

Buy me a couple drinks and maybe I’ll blab to you about all the new dirt I’m digging up on David Irons.

I plan to be there at least some of the time, but it’s not clear whether I’ll be there early, late or the whole time.

No special guests are scheduled for tonight, but it wouldn’t surprise me if a couple of candidates dropped by for a round or two.

King County Executive Ron Sims will be joining us for some good beer and even better conversation. If you have any questions for Ron, I urge you stop on by and weigh in. Should be a great evening.

If you like beer, and you like Ron Sims, Oct. 4th will be your opportunity to get your fill of both, as the King County Executive joins us at our regular Tuesday night gathering of the Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally, 8PM at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E.
So mark your calendars now, and come join us for a few good beers and a lot of great conversation.

We’ll twist the barkeep’s arm into tuning in the election results, and Nick plans to bring his laptop for up-to-the-minute results. I may stop by another election night gathering first, but I’ll definitely be there.

The Seattle chapter of Drinking Liberally meets tonight, as it does every Tuesday… but don’t stop by the Montlake Alehouse, because we won’t be there. Instead, we’ll be grabbing a couple of beers with author Chris Mooney, after his appearance tonight at Town Hall.
Mooney, a staff writer for The American Prospect, will be talking about his new book, “The Republican War on Science,” as part of Foolproof’s American Voices series. Show starts at 7:30 PM, Town Hall, 8th & Seneca. Tickets are $10.00.
Afterwards, Chris will be joining us for drinks, probably at Tango, Pike & Boren, around 9:30 pm. (I’ll post an update if the location changes.) I suggest you come for the lecture, and then look for folks with a Drinking Liberally lapel button or sign.
As my regular readers know, this is subject close to my heart, so I hope to see you there.

I’ve promised friends I’d pick them up at the airport around 9 pm, so unless the flight comes in ahead of schedule (hah!) I’ll stop by early.

I don’t think I’ll be able to make it tonight, but I may try to run in for a quick visit.
