Ted Nugent reminds me of what a great country we live in. This kind of tripe would not be tolerated elsewhere. He might find himself swooshed away to a gulag, or something worse. But no, in America he can prance around like a total jackass on stage and suck out a few more minutes of fame on YouTube. Isn’t this country great! Viva, Americana!

At least she was probably of legal age when she met Ted (unlike previous wife Pele Massa, who was maybe 15 or 16 when she became Ted’s Little Miss Dangerous).

Workers pay about fifty percent of their paycheck each month into healthcare, retirement and unemployment and more companies are outsourcing jobs to avoid those costs. Quality of care also suffers in France, says Teil, because hospitals and doctors resist government requirements to report their success and failures.
“Providers think that if the government sets new measures, it’s just to control them and take away resources,” says Teil. “With a system with no transparency like in France – when you don’t have these measures – you don’t have any incentives to be the best. Because nobody will know anyway that you’re the best.”
By contrast, Tiel says privately-owned hospitals in the U.S. are motivated to measure and report their quality of care, which leads to better care.

And when you consider all the democrat states that voted down gay marriage, it sure doesn’t look like democrats are very accepting of gays.
That’s because same-sex marriage is still something of a taboo in many peoples’ minds, even to those who otherwise have no problem with the GLBT community. This taboo is easily exploited by the homophobic right to a point where even Oregon shot down a same-sex marriage proposal. Really, the hysteria is all part of the continued demonization of the GLBT community by the Religious Right that has gone on in fact for the last 20+ years (since the fall of Communism, they needed some sort of bad guy to attack) and in practice since God only knows when.
It’s EQUAL rights, not SPECIAL rights, people. To quote Beethoven, “Freedom above all!”

I support a NOK law, each person should have the rigtht to declare one other person a next of kin and that can be you sister, father, spouse or whoever.
There is NO reaosn in any of this to deny the obvious existance in our species and virtually all other species of gender. There is a word for mixed gender pairing, that word is “marriage.” Recognizing the existance of mail female pairings or polyandry/gamy has NO relationship to wht other realtions we also recognize.
In Europe this issue has been largely solved by allowing people to choose some sort of pairing under law or, if they are of mixed gender and want to jin THAT tradition, they call it marriage.
Newspeak is bad. Removing a word form the language does not solve the problme of bigotry.

For Those who didn’t know, but want to know a little Rock n’ Roll history that BLOWHARD TED would rather forget, here’s a discription by none other than Frank Marino himself!

“I was playing Detroit one night and Ted was the opening act and then halfway through my set his roadies pushed his amps onto our stage and he began trying to out-volume me. I was pretty stunned because I thought “what a jerk”, but I didn’t want my guys to throw him off the stage ’cause I felt that he’d make something out of it, so I played along with his gag and answered all of his riffs, quite easily I might add. I guess he got a little un-nerved ’cause the crowd could see that it wasn’t really working for him, so he tried to finish it off by playing with his teeth, of all things, which he did real slow and jerky. I guess that he really didn’t believe that I could do that ’cause i wasn’t givin’ to doing
those things in those days, but any guitarist can tell you that it’s quite easy to do, although I guess to Ted it was the “big hard”, so after he finished his lick and the crowd grew silent waiting to see if I’d respond and I waited and waited until it got real quiet. You could hear a pin drop in that hall and I could hear a friend of mine offstage whisper, “do it”. So after an enormously long pause, and just as Ted started to strut towards me, I picked up my axe to my teeth and let loose with a blitz of notes, loud, long and fast. Well, the crowd goes nuts and I guess Ted, to his credit, realized what happened so he falls down like he’s been shot and I guessed that meant that I’d won or something. To this day, I think it was the single most stupid thing that I’d ever seen in music. I remember that
Ted began to go around the country doing these battle shows. They asked if I’d do it with them but I declined. I think that this was the day that the “WWF” came to rock and roll and I really think that Ted was dumb to do that kind of crap. As to whether I blew Ted Nugent’s doors off, I think we should ask the fans that were there and remember it. After that, Ted and I ended up at the same management for a while along with Aerosmith, and he always acted like he didn’t like me very much, although I couldn’t imagine why….
