Today it’s proved that Robinhood Dumbfuck Rabbit’s fave FL Democrat, Rebekah Jones, isn’t a Democrat. But she’s sure as fuck a lying sack of shit.

Much of attorneys’ arguments revolved around a document saying Jones was registered as ‘unaffiliated’ in Maryland. Everyone agreed it’s a legitimate document.

Jones testified she did not file the document, saying someone else changed it.

Jones claims she’s always been registered as a Democrat and never registered as a member of the independent party.

Jones told the court she did initially file to run independently.

Jones also told people to buy GE shares, before immediately afterward telling them to short GE shares, which is what attracted Robinhood Dumbfuck Rabbit to her. That, and the shared love that the two of them have for blatantly lying to whomever is stupid enough to take them seriously.

In the Friday thread, QoS McHillbilly described WA-3 as a district with R plus 3 demographics. He claimed it will flip to the Democrats if Joe Kent defeats JHB, as now seems likely.

    I suppose that’s possible.

However, JHB won by 13 points in 2020, even as people turned out in droves on a national basis to force out Trump.

In the heavily Democrat year of 2018, JHB still won by 5.4 points.

Doesn’t sound like R plus 3 to me.

First Vegetable Joe Biden’s approval numbers are up a couple of points in the past two weeks. Don’t expect that to last.

Gallup poll shows Obama’s post-Bin Laden numbers fading

As of May 13, Obama’s approval rating was at 46%, the same number he had in the three days before the raid on Bin Laden’s hideaway at the beginning of the month. The president had received a six-point bump as measured in the Gallup poll after the death of Bin Laden.

In addition to getting an approval bump after the raid, Obama got a second bounce as fewer people disapproved of him. After the raid his disapproval numbers fell from 45% to 40%.

In the current tracking poll numbers, his disapproval numbers were at 44%, almost the same as before the raid.

Looks like the Oz campaign has finally lost it’s shit. Their appalling performance since winning the nomination must have produced some kind of “shake up” or campaign reset. Here’s the campaign’s latest statement to NBC News concerning the Fetterman announcement that he was returning to the campaign trail following recovery from a heart attack:

“John Fetterman has hid in his basement scrolling social media for months now – like the spoiled man-child he is who lived of his parent’s money until he was in his late 40s. He’s scared to defend his radical liberal record of eliminating life sentences for murder and signing a pledge to ban fracking in PA. We expect a completely controlled environment – and reporters should be aware that Fetterman hates talking to the press almost as much as he hates talking to voters. Actually – we take that back – he probably hates working a real job more than he hates talking to the press – he avoided that for 20 years. So far he’s only avoided talking to the press for 3 months.”

Team Oz had almost three months to prepare this.

PA Republicans have grown increasingly impatient with Oz, wondering why he hasn’t been on television during Fetterman’s recovery, and why he hasn’t put more of his own money into the campaign to get it back on track.

“I don’t have much confidence in their campaign,” said Arnie McClure, chair of the Huntingdon County Republican Party.
“Oz came in a distant third in my county, so I called them up and said, ‘You need to talk to our people to change their mind and our mind and I’ll help you do that.’ And I don’t even hear back. What the hell?”

His fundraising has been lackluster, and after dumping over $12 mil of his own money into the hard-fought primary, Oz is now reluctant to spend any more. That has kept him off television and out of the spotlight. So now that Fetterman has announced his return to the campaign, having pulled ahead of Oz by double digits, the Oz campaign are determined to show they can recover all that lost ground with a new “fighting spirit”.

They will end up positioning Fetterman as an incumbent, ceding to him all the advantages that this entails while gaining nothing in return. The least scrappy, least “outsider” of all the GOP primary contenders now finds himself and his team of hairspray techs forced into a role for which he is not remotely suited. While the 6′ 5″ head shaved Mayor of Braddock hits the trail wearing Carhartts and hoodies.

QoS McHillbilly described WA-3 as a district with R plus 3 demographics. He claimed it will flip to the Democrats if Joe Kent defeats JHB,

“If Kent wins it could still be a GOP hold.”

    What a fucking pathetic liar.

Honestly, I don’t know shit about Kent, other than Trump hired him to run a primary against JHB. Maybe he won’t pull train on her if he loses the recount. He might want to preserve some dignity or retain options for future campaigns. But if Trump has anything at all to say about this, and if Kent wants to remain in Trumpland, he will deny the recount and demand “audits” etc.

That will depress November turnout among the group of voters that contributed to JHB’s margin in 2020. Will it be enough? Who knows? But it will be a contributing factor that will add to all the others. And there are plenty of others, starting with Trump himself, but continuing on to phony election denialism, GOP pipe bomb mobs killing cops, CPAC calling for defunding the FBI, and 10-year-old rape victims bleeding out waiting for the phone to ring.

Didja hear about the Democrat politician who escaped from jail?

Jones was removed from his committee assignments in September 2021 in light of the criminal case. Wentworth cited a lack of trust in Jones’ “ability to conduct the people’s work” after he was alleged to have snuck a handcuff key into a Livingston County jail following a bond hearing.
    …
Jones was sentenced to two years probation and 100 hours of community service in April after pleading guilty to drunken driving, weapons and other charges tied to the April 2021 arrest. Jones was sentenced to 61 days in jail, but was credited with 61 days already served.

Under the agreement, Jones pleaded guilty to one count of escape of lawful custody, one count of operating while intoxicated, one count of possession of a weapon while intoxicated, one count of reckless driving and two counts of resisting and obstructing police.

Same dude @ 9. I left off the part where he violated the terms of his probation, and the part where his felonies were expunged due to his “youth”. He was 26 when he committed all of those crimes. The Holmes Youthful Trainee Act is supposed to cover perps between the ages of 17 and 24. Unless they are Democrats, in which case the age is extende upward to whatever age Monica Conyers happens to be when she commits her next felony.

This bill’s gonna be a real winner.

    HEALTH CARE
Dems lose key piece of health agenda in spending bill
Parliamentarian nixes Democrats’ plan to lower drug prices for Americans with private insurance.

Democrats’ plan to control drug prices for 180 million Americans with private health insurance has suffered yet another setback.

The Senate parliamentarian ruled Saturday that a core piece of the party’s plan can’t pass the chamber with fewer than 60 votes, following arguments from both parties last week.
    …
The exclusion of the private insurance price limits means there is little left that will reduce costs for the vast majority of Americans who receive health insurance through their private sector employer. Democrats are still waiting on a separate parliamentarian ruling on their policy to cap the cost of insulin both inside and outside of Medicare.

The decision also means tens of billions less in federal savings in the bill overall, a potential threat to Democrats’ hopes of offsetting the cost for shoring up Obamacare’s subsidies.

All that’s left is a shit-ton of wasteful spending. IOW a typical Democrat summer weekend.

    on a “nother” note:

Romney had accomplished a longstanding Democratic goal—universal health insurance—by combining three conservative policies. Massachusetts would help the uninsured buy private insurance; it would create a deregulated online marketplace; and it would require that everyone carry insurance. ..

The Republican approach is to say, ‘You know what? Everybody should have insurance. They should pay what they can afford to pay. If they need help, we will be there to help them, but no more free ride.’ ”

And it turns out the vulture kapitalism dude got a lot of the “help” from the feds:

That state ultimately secured three years of additional Medicaid funding, $1.05 billion, which largely financed the Massachusetts expansion. Both accounts suggest that it was a special commitment from the federal government, rather than a capped budget, that spurred Massachusetts’ success.

An amendment was offered by Mike Crapo to limit the additional audits to taxpayers making less than $400,000/year.

    It failed, 50-50.

Most of the additional audits will be on taxpayer families earning less than six figures.

I’ve never been audited by the IRS. Never. I’m overdue. I fully expect an audit within the next five years, because I’m in an income category with types of deductions that scream for it.

So should y’all expect it, because y’all are taxpayers and the bill under consideration won’t distinguish between big fish and little fish.

Besides, little fish do a shittier job hiding fraud and their wrongoings are easier to catch. Low-hanging fruit for government employees to bag.

I’m trying to figure out what happened with the SALT limitation.

If I understand correctly, as passed by the Senate, nothing happens to the current SALT limitation, which has an expiration date.

Earlier in the day an amendment by Thune with support from Sinema passed, and would have extended the SALT limitation’s expiration by a year. This might have caused House Dems to tank the bill. So instead a business deduction limitation was extended by two years so that SALT wouldn’t have to be fucked with.

    Is this correct?

That is correct. It needed 60 votes. It got 57.
All 50 Democrats voted to approve. Only seven out of 50 Republicans voted to approve.

Dems neglected to put price caps for insulen* in the reconciliation budget bill before bringing it to the floor.

It was stripped out of rec by the parliamentarian and had to be voted on separately. The law limits what can be included in a reconciliation bill. That’s how rec works.

The profit margin from insulin is huge, but it’s not the insulin manufacturers who are profiteering. A USC study found insulin prices have soared because near-monopoly conditions in distribution.

Insulin is a life essential for Type 1 diabetics. Its distribution has little of the characteristics of a free market where competition prevents price-gouging.

Utility monopolies like electricity and gas are subject to price regulation, and it appears the same rationale exists for regulating insulin prices in the private market at a price-level that incentivizes production of an adequate supply and allows makers and distributors a reasonable return on investment.

In looking at charts for a one year period (from July 1, 1991 to June 30, 1992), the researchers found that the molester was a gay or lesbian adult in fewer than 1 percent of cases (2 of 269) in which the adult molester could be identified. For the second Seafair in a row, no I-90 closures as the flight box has been shifted south. Good that WSDOT and the FAA were able to do that, but why did they wait for Sound Transit and East LINK?

And not even Degen will cling to his earlier confident proclamation of flipping both chambers and gaining 40 seats in the House.

Any way you look at it, it’s another stunning collapse for the GOP. With “Trump nowhere in sight”.
And that’s why this is so preoccupying for poor Degen. If he were even partly as confident as he was back in May he really would just STFU and wait for his triumphant naked face-painted end zone dance in November.

It has finally begun to dawn on him just how much his party’s embrace of Trump is really going to cost them in the long run. And now he sees that most of his triumphs will remain forever in his past.

The GOP nominee running for Attorney General in Michigan, Matt DePerno, has been referred to a special prosecutor for criminal indictment after he was directly linked to the theft of election tabulator equipment in a stronghold Republican county in northern Michigan.

In 2021 DiPerno submitted a report as part of a lawsuit in Antrim County challenging the Trump 2020 defeat. Within the report were copies and photographs of records of vote tabulator activity. The photographs in the report sworn to and entered into evidence as part of DiPerno’s crackpot Stop The Steal lolsuit included the precise, one-of-a-kind, ten digit identifying code from the tabulator equipment stolen from Richfield in northern Michigan.

Yes, that’s right. A top-notch, brilliant, Michigan KRAKEN legal expert, who Republicans believe should be the state’s next AG, implicated himself by swearing to and entering into evidence photographs that show him with stolen election equipment.
In any other circumstances the mind would boggle. But this is all post Jan 6. So it just files into the seemingly endless parade of self-implicating criminal dumbfuckery that has come to define the Trump GOP.
