In a state where, thanks to our beloved “winner-take-all” system, absolutely zero campaigning takes place.

    What the 2018 and 2020 elections should have demonstrated to all of us is that places like this can shift very rapidly with focused turnout campaigns. With motor-voter, all-mail voting, and no GQP voter suppression campaigns, Washington state is frankly a much easier lift than places like Georgia or Arizona.

    If Trump succeeds in putting a hand-picked QPatriot like Joey Gibson on the November ballot, shifting that district is well within reach.

    1) The vast majority of those “jumped” wages did so because of either economic pressures or non-legislative social pressures. In other words, market forces. I have no issue with changes in wages or labor pool responsive to market forces. No issue at all. You wanna shame Amazon or Wal-mart into raising wages? Let the shaming commence.

    2) Those “jumped” wages were responses to local economics, mostly. In other words, Mississippi wages did not “jump” to the same levels that Seattle wages and San Francisco wages jumped as a result of local economic growth. The localities were untethered to a nationwide “jump”, as is now being proposed.

    When wages rise for non-market reasons and when wages rise without consideration of local factors, because Congress and a president decide that a “jump” is what gets them re-elected, that is a bad thing.

    Robinhood Dumbfuck Rabbit, naturally you fail to see a difference between a market lifting wages and Congress requiring it. It is why your family is hungry.

    No indictment for two Buffalo police officers charged for pushing 75-year-old protester

    The two officers have been suspended since the incident, but have been back on the payroll since 30 days after the incident. With the criminal investigation complete, the police department will now begin its own internal affairs investigation.

    A day after the incident, but before the officers were charged, all 57 members of the Buffalo police riot squad quit from the unit after the police union announced it could no longer provide legal counsel to them.

They compete for customers (mostly large, industrial consumers), so investments in infrastructure are a bad choice. There’s very little state regulatory oversight as far as utility performance or reliability. It’s a boom town mentality where everything is built out of duct tape and chewing gum. When their assembly passed SB 7, Texans were promised the lowest energy prices in the lower 48 when the energy speculators sold them on this scheme. Instead, on average, Texans pay about 11.5 cents per kwh, which is a little below average. But nowhere near the lowest in the US. Typically the lowest rates are found in public utility districts fed by hydro. Fucking commies.
