    @1 Decent chance of that, but expect Covid’s impacts to linger for years. Some businesses and jobs will never come back, some people will have long-term health issues, and half the population will refuse to get vaccinated and continue spreading the virus — in most cases, the same blockheads who refuse to wear masks.

    Remember, that incompetence begins at home. The reality is, is that Fat Donny is, in all things, an utter fucking moron who cannot understand why he can’t just own “all the things”. His sense of possession is really just that of a thief, and his deep-seated belief that anything he can steal becomes his by right once he has it in his hands, but anything that he is prevented from stealing means he was being robbed and that any act that prevents his own intentions to steal is a criminal act even though he had no rights to it whatsoever in the first goddamn place.

    He literally lives in opposite land to reality. How this man has avoided getting himself whacked decades ago is a mystery. But as one person pointed out to me several years ago, that if someone owes someone else a few hundred thousand dollars and the debt becomes impossible to recover, whacking that person might be a viable option, as it is a simpler thing to just eliminate the original problem once it is realized that the money is literally unrecoverable. But when someone owes someone else hundreds of $millions, that debt becomes the lender’s problem, and any interference with recovering it would be a major disaster for that lender and the institution he or she represents. In other words, once someone borrows a few hundred thousand from a bank or loan shark, it is the borrower has a problem. If someone borrows a few hundred million, the bank or loan shark has a problem.

    Fat Donny is well over a $Billion in personal debt to the sort of foreign interests that have tanks, aircraft and armies they can move around, and I’m willing to bet that at this point they’re seriously pissed off.

    I doubt Fat Donny will live to see another Halloween. He’s already shitting himself to death with his drug use, and once he’s out of the White House, his major protection system is gone, Secret Service notwithstanding.

    They lost despite be allowed and encouraged by the Senate GOP to operate the White House as an arm of the campaign, including using tax payer resources and public employees to hold campaign events at the White House, on the National Mall, at the Lincoln Memorial, and at various national monuments and other public facilities. They lost despite launching the campaign on inauguration day in 2017 and operating it mostly out of the White House with tax dollars. They lost despite cheating the election system in every conceivable way possible.

    They lost because the GOP are losers.

    Trump is over. Moscow Mitch is crippled. Nancy Pelosi is empowered. The Guatemalan Toddler Torture will stop. The desecration of the White House will stop. The desecration of the military will stop. The desecration of democracy will stop*. And the desecration of our relationships with key allied governments will stop.

    COVID-19 isn’t stopped yet. So you still need to wash your hands and wear a mask and stay away from people indoors. But there are effective vaccines on their way. And better treatments being massed produced. Everyone needs to stick this thing out just a few more months and things all over are going to get a whole lot better.

    Because WE WON!

    I know it’s not as much fun if you can’t gather together and laugh and sing now that the GOP is demolished. But it’ll happen. The deed is done. And we all did it. We have more work to do – GA Senate Specials – but we can still afford to congratulate ourselves on being The Greatest Nation on Earth and for having defeated fascism again.

    Open a bottle of the good stuff, if you haven’t already. And give yourself permission to breathe a sigh of relief and feel some real joy. Trump is finished. The GOP is permanently anchored to his sinking corpse. The party is being turned over to a mob of Twitter heroes with Associates degrees from Kaplan who “trust the plan”. And the DOW has cracked 30k.

    This year started out shit. But it really is finishing with triumph!

    *Among Republicans the desecration of democracy will never stop because it is now part of their brand to reject democracy. This, however, is also a very, very good thing. It will doom them.

    I guess you are referring to a 2% shift in the party composition absent any change in the majority.
    Seems you can read. So go read some historical data about movements in House seats. 2020 was unremarkable, beyond the fact that an historically unpopular GOP FailPresident was appearing on the ballot. That was an opportunity for Democrats that we squandered, for sure. But a “lesser” ass kicking is still an ass kicking.

    Compared to typical incumbent re-election cycles, this was a momentous and unparalleled win for Democrats that compares most closely to 1980. Arizona is probably flipped solidly in favor of Democrats now. Both US Senators and the majority of House seats are Democrats. Biden won more votes than McCain in 2008. Ducey rides the thinnest bubble of any GOP governor. Georgia flipped and is now in play, along with both of her Senate seats. None of that was even hinted at four years ago.

    So far, Trump’s judges hate him as much as America hates him. They aren’t “Republican” judges. They certainly aren’t “Trump” judges. They are “Federalist” judges. That doesn’t mean what you think it means. You’ll find that out soon enough.

    The last few months have shown us, that literally millions of ignorant conservative Americans will believe pathetically desperate lies delivered straight into their teevee boxes by a well-known liar. An individual who has used the same lies in the past, such as screaming voter fraud when he lost one of the GOP primaries to Ted Cruz.
