@23 Hmmm, good point, Romney was a chickenhawk who counter-demonstrated against anti-draft demonstrators at Stanford University, then beat the war drum while sitting out the war on a combination of student and “ministerial” deferments. Romney — another “never served” Republican — sat out most of the Vietnam War by squatting on a “ministerial deferment” for 2 1/2 years while doing Mormon missionary work in France. This wasn’t exactly tough duty, either, as he was an assistant to the church’s local missionary leader and got to live in palatial accomodations. So … this is the guy we want for commander-in-chief? Nah, don’t think so.

I don’t care if you’ve served or not, but the chicken hawks bug me. Huntsman’s a really level headed guy, probably the least militaristic person in the race Obama included, and he’s got two kids in the navy*. Then you’ve got Romney who’s been beating the war drum since his early 20’s, who never served, and I don’t think any of his kids served.
*Huntsman’s one of the richer people on the planet, his kids sure as fuck didn’t have to serve to get out of their dead end podunk town or to pay for college. I’ve got a lot of respect for kids like that serve out of a sense of duty and responsibility and for the parents that taught them those values.
