It’s Tuesday already. So please join us tonight for a pint and discussion at the Seattle Chapter of Drinking Liberally.

We meet every Tuesday at the Montlake Ale House, 2307 24th Avenue E. Starting time is 8:00pm. Some people show up earlier for Dinner.

Can’t make it to Seattle’s DL tonight? Check out one of the other DL meetings over the next week. The Tri-Cities chapter also meets tonight. On Wednesday, the Bellingham chapter meets, as does the the Burien chapter. And on Monday, the Yakima, South Bellevue and Olympia chapters meet.

With 230 chapters of Living Liberally, including fourteen in Washington state, four in Oregon, and three more in Idaho, chances are excellent there’s a chapter that meets near you.

    Bruce is offering sensible suggestions to the right; it’s a shame they choose to pretend he doesn’t exist.

    Why The GOP’s Benghazi Talking Points Are Bullshit

    The unteachable Republicans, who learned nothing from their election defeat, are pulling out the stops to defend special tax privileges for rich people.

    Btw, where are all the jobs that rich people supposedly created during the 11 years they’ve enjoyed the Bush tax cuts? If the taxes they aren’t paying are going into new hires shouldn’t we have full employment by now?

    In case nobody has noticed this, the reason why the “tax cuts for rich people create jobs” argument is bullshit, is because the wages paid to employees by business owners are a business expense that’s deducted from gross revenue, i.e. by definition none of the money business owners pay to employees is “income” of the business owners subject to taxation.

    An Idaho legislator [why am I not surprised?}, Sen. Barbara Nuxoll, R-Cottonwood, is promoting a movement to deny the election to BO. She advocates that [Electoral College] electors from states won by Rmoney boycott the gathering of electors thus denying the meeting a quorum and subsequent inability to conduct business. Turns out no such quorum exists, but if they decide not to show anyway does that mean BO could potentially get a shut-out 332-0?
