The adverse reaction seems to come from lots of alcohol and an unusually large dose of rohypnol (given that the one student was in critical condition). It may also have been a composite cocktail of rohypnol and ketamine, a newer variant of youthful experimentation. Sadly, it is unlikely that the drug will be identified, as GHB and rohypnol both are metabolized very quickly. But somebody knows and someone is clearly responsible for it.
Hopefully theese folks will face actual criminal charges in Kittitas and not just school conduct code violations.
If they had just stuck to pot and beer, they’d all be spending today hanging out and doing whatever they wanted to do.

My advice to all college women who drink and go to parties. Be on hyper alert at all times. Assume most guys you meet for the first time are dirtbags unless they take the time and effort to prove otherwise. Stick to beer, open it yourself, if it has been out of your posession, go get a new one. If you must have liquor, buy yourself a flask and fill from your own supply.
Don’t accept punch, or a shot, or anything mixed. In my day is was Everclear punch but the pharmaceutical insdustry has new wonders for the would be rapist.
