More time soon? Probably!
Fry Dei Oh Pen The Red
Time enough to make a silly pun title, to ask you to get vaccinated or boosted, but that’s about all.
Wednesday Open Thread
Still on my work related short posts. Your normal schedule of somewhat longer posts may resume next week.
Monday Open Thread
Over the weekend, I accidentally took the H line. I was trying to get to West Seattle, and the sign must have said Via Westwood Village, instead of the destination. Yikes. Anyway, it took a little longer to get where I need, but it’s fine. Don’t make my mistake. That said, if it’s your actual destination, it looks good.
Aaaaaanyway, please wash your hands right now and get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible.
Friday!
Get vaccinated! I am still on a weird work schedule.
Wednesday Open Thread
Shout out to working early. And get yourself vaccinated.
Monday Thread
Sorry I flaked out on Friday and today’s post is short. Probably will continue with weird work hours through March. Anyway, woo, one more step toward gun control in the state.
Anyway, please wash your filthy hands right now. And get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible.
Wednesday!
– The first round of carbon pricing in Washington is in the books.
– When taking the 43, it’s nice to know if the bus is late because the bridge is up, or because it’s the void.
– The tax advisory votes are silly and wasteful.
– Please wash your hands right now. And get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible.
Monday Open Thread
Had to come in to work early. Here’s a quick thread. Enjoy and get vaccinated.
Friday, March 3
– Seattle, our tree canopy is going in the wrong direction.
– Impotrant Tacoma doughnut information.
– The pandemic food assistance is coming to an end. So it might be a good time to give to your local food bank.
– Get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible.
Wednesday Open Thread
I think I have found the adult equivalent of running into your teacher outside of school. Running into your bus driver outside of the bus. So weird. Just going for a walk, and why do I recognize this person? Ohhhh.
Anyway, please wash your hands right now. And if you’re not vaccinated or boosted yet, get flippin’ on it.
Monday Open Thread
– I haven’t paid attention to the Dilbert guy since like 1997. But Christ almighty. I’m glad The Seattle Times has dropped him.
– pay them human services workers what they’re worth.
– Get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible. And, hey, wash your damn hands.
Oh geez, who could have predicted giving Steve Bannon your money would lose you that money.
Fried A Thread
– This story about a cat interrupting a city council meeting in Liberty Lake is delightful.
– The House Our Neighbors campaign did quite well, a W is a W, of course but in this case, a large victory makes it tougher to marginalize.
– The high speed chases law moving forward had me worried that this legislative session would be all backsliding on police reform. So it’s good to see that the qualified immunity bill is moving forward.
– And hey, there’s some ambitious gun control too. Feel free to contact your legislator on these or anything else important to you.
– Wash your hands right now. And get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible. Dooooo it now.
Wednesday Morning Open Thread
The snow messed up my commute and I forgot it was a Wednesday, and now I’m writing this on break. Sorry.
A Friday Open Thread, For You
– Ugh. A state House committee passed a bill to weaken the rules on when police officers can get involved in chases. I would urge you to contact your legislator and let them know that you want fewer high speed chases in Washington neighborhoods.
– Can’t get enough urban forests.
– You, yes you. Wash your hands right now. And get vaccinated or boosted if you’re eligible.
