Yes, there’s a big chunk of ballots yet to count in pro-Gregoire King County, and yes the provisional ballots could still buck the trend… but if current margins hold up, my spreadsheet projects Rossi to win by 3091 votes. This is the exact same number projected by the folks at conservative SoundPolitics.org, so I’m guessing my math checks out.
Man that sucks.
There’s no point in bothering with math until all the ballots are counted, especially if there’s a recount. It’s way too early to lament a candidate’s loss because all the votes are not counted! Goldy needs to stop worrying about trends and spreadsheets and just wait and see!
Believe it or not, I view my role as a blogger as being part of the media. And so I occasionally like to provide a little news here that you are not getting in the mainstream press. And the news is, that unless the remaining ballots buck the trend we have seen all week, Rossi wins by over 2000 votes, and there won’t be a recount.

The right is all for suppressing liberties in the name of order….scaring us with a completely dumb color-coded alert system so we can “prepare” for terrorist attacks.

I personally find the alert system helpful in telling terrorists we know what they’re up to. Plus, before you start slamming Dino for being anti-civil liberties… why don’t you do a Google News search for Gregoire and “public records”? Then you can write us back on what you think.
