It looks like the election was good for Democrats. But Seattle will get more conservative. At least the housing levy passed easily.

Tomorrow is the last day to get your ballot postmarked or dropped off. City, county and school board elections are super important. The guy with the Blue Lives Matter bumper sticker you passed last night? He’s voted. The lady who came to school board meetings to yell about trans kids? She voted the day she got her ballot. But their vote counts the same as yours, so let’s elect the best people.

I have been listening to the Hacks and Wonks candidate interviews for Seattle City Council. I don’t want to single anyone out specifically, but some of them don’t seem to like Seattle very much. I don’t get it. I don’t get it.

I was walking down the waterfront recently and saw a ferry docking. The whole front of the ferry was oddly colored. I didn’t realize for a moment, but eventually I saw that it was an ad for a soda company. My goodness, it was so ugly.

I don’t know why seeing it on a ferry produced such a yuck reaction in a way that it never does on the bus. Still, it made me sad that I don’t drink their disgusting sugar concoction, so I can’t give it up. Maybe I should be madder when it’s on the bus: Those wraps make the view out worse, so the whole ride isn’t as good.
