Try to stay dry, geez. I have failed, even with a heavy raincoat. It doesn’t cover from the knees down. Anyway, you didn’t come here to read about my soaked ankles…

  • Following the Spokane 9 has been at turns inspiring and harrowing. Hope the people who took plea bargains can figure out what’s next.
  • The SPOG contract passing is all kinds of gross, but maybe Saka has seen the light.
  • Here’s hoping Mayor-elect Wilson turns off the cameras that are easily abused by ICE and other Federal criminals.
  • Pathway, more like pathetic-compared-to-sidewalk-way.

Here’s hoping Mayor-elect Wilson turns off the cameras that are easily abused by ICE and other Federal criminals.

Well, that’s one way to interpret your link.

Another is that she fucking lied to dupe libbies into supporting her:

Mayor-Elect Wilson Won’t Commit To Shutting Down The Surveillance Cameras She Campaigned Against

But now that she’s won her race and even as cities across the state have opted to backpedal on their own surveillance systems, Wilson’s not making any strong promises to shut off the cameras she initially opposed.

“I’m aware of the decisions by Olympia, Redmond, and other cities to turn off their surveillance cameras, and I’m going to work with immigrant rights groups and civil rights advocates to evaluate whether Seattle should also scale back or disable the surveillance expansion that was authorized by the outgoing mayor and council,” Wilson said in a statement to The Burner.

So it’s “Hey, the cameras are there because of The Evil Bruce. But now that I’m about to take office, I’m fine with having them while claiming that my hands are tied.”

Meanwhile, gullible fucks like Carl provide Mayor-Elect Katie the necessary cover.

DJT47 does something good for YLB’s boys:

    MoneyWatch
Trump administration moves to end the SAVE plan for millions of student borrowers

Under Secretary of Education Nicholas Kent said in Tuesday’s announcement that the Biden Administration’s policies unfairly shifted student loan debt onto American taxpayers. The Education Department estimates the SAVE program would have cost taxpayers more than $342 billion over ten years.

The Biden administration announced the SAVE program in 2023, calling it the “most affordable student loan repayment plan ever.” The plan allowed 4.6 million of the program’s more than 7 million enrollees to lower their monthly bills to $0 per month, according to Protect Borrowers, an advocacy group.

Money not spent by the taxpayer and instead paid by the fucking deadbeats is money YLB’s boys won’t have to pay interest on in the future.

No one treats a woman more viciously than another woman, Island County edition:

At the close of an Island County commissioners meeting, Chair Melanie Bacon (D-Langley) read a prepared statement expressing frustration with the personal animosity between Commissioners Janet St. Clair (D-Camano Island) and Jill Johnson (R-Oak Harbor). While praising their work on the budget, she said the behind-the-scenes disrespect and hurtful behavior meant she could not support either as 2026 chair and believed making one of them chair would worsen the situation. Bacon ended the meeting before they could respond. The next day, at a work session, both St. Clair and Johnson said they would support Bacon remaining chair, though Johnson denied responsibility for the conflict and referenced prior grievances.

Bacon’s observation was self-serving, to an extent: The three-person commission will remain under her chairpersonship.

You need to read beyond the title and subtitles of your links, YLB:

That trend appears to have reversed in the last two years, however. This year, the S&P has tallied 412 reorganizations versus 269 liquidations, suggesting more companies are turning to bankruptcy court as a way to reduce debt rather than close their doors.

Companies incurred high-interest debt during the Biden years, and now are offloading the debt and replacing it with lower-interest debt. Shareholders get wiped out and bond holders take a haircut, but the company continues to operate.

YLB, fewer companies are closing their doors under DJT47 than they did under Biden. That’s what the article says. More companies are offloading their Biden-era high-interest debt and replacing it with DJT47-era debt at lower interest rates.

The article reports the opposite of what you need to be true, YLB. Ponder that for a bit.

The Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance, commonly referred to as the Rio Treaty, is a collective security agreement established in 1947 among countries in the Americas, inspired by the experiences of World War II. This treaty emerged from the desire for multilateral military cooperation in the Western Hemisphere and marked a shift from the historically unilateral approach of the United States, as expressed in the Monroe Doctrine. Under the treaty, an attack against one member is considered an attack against all, promoting solidarity among signatory nations.

I would not want to be on the getting end of a Lee-Enfield .303 in working condition (which most of them are). A trained British soldier could achieve a rate of fire of 35 rounds per minute.

This ancient bolt action WWI rifle gave the Mujahedin a decisive advantage over the Russians during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, because it outranged the Russkies’ AK-47s. The Afghans took up positions in rocks overlooking the highway beyond the AK-47’s range and preyed on Russian supply convoys with those rifles. It was very effective. The USSR lost that war.

That’s rich considering taxpayers pay for most non-parochial K-12 education and have subsidized tuition at public colleges and universities since forever.

Also, taxpayers benefit from an educated public, because people with degrees earn more, and therefore pay more taxes. Over a lifetime of enhanced earnings, these students will more than repay whatever they would get from SAVE.

What’s more, burdening young people with crushing student debt means they will delay marriage and childbearing, won’t buy homes, won’t buy as much stuff, all of which hurts the economy and reduces its ability to employ the taxpayers supposedly being saved from financial perdition by scrapping SAVE.

That signals that even if some people aren’t happy with elements of his approach, they might not be ready to say he’s doing a bad and while discontent is increasing among Republicans on certain

I’m not actually personally familiar with the lifestyles of Palm Beach billionaires to know for certain if this is “normal, routine” stuff.
But at least to me, and setting aside the Trump branding, etc, it seems like putting out a convenient bowl of rubbers for your party guests strongly implies things about that lifestyle.

    https://media.cnn.com/api/v1/images/stellar/prod/house-oversight-083462-copy.jpg

Taking a photograph of that bowl and saving it in your family scrapbook of mementos implies even more.

The Estate has provided minimal redactions to these photographs; the redactions are limited to nudity,” the lawyers wrote.

So, bowl of rubbers, nude children, and the Republican President.

a bowl of novelty condoms with a caricature of Trump’s face

Which the committee said came from Epstein’s estate, according to CNN.

Notice the invoice pad next to the condoms. The Democrats on the committee want you to believe that Jeffrey Epstein was selling Trump-face condoms to his guests for $4.50 each. And providing them with an invoice for tax purposes.

Elijah is all-in on this. Because this is one way the rich get richer.

    128,

    Very much as predicted.

A convenient bowl of condoms, and nude children with the man who would come to control and dominate the Republican Party for decades.

The Actual Pedophile Fucktard wants to draw your attention to the price tag.

“Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?”

    They aren’t releasing the files.

If the FBI investigation exonerated Fat Pedophile they would have released them all the minute the 2,000 agent/lawyer “review” was completed last May.

He raped children. And they have no choice but to defend him for it.

Well, surely. The Democrats are withholding the Eiffel Tower photos of The Donald and Slick Willie. The photographer was #CrookedHillary and the photos were found on her home-brew server.

    131,
    Desperation.

There is a very good reason why a majority of Indiana Senate Republicans voted to reject and defy Fat Pedophile’s demands that they dilute their Congressional District majorities.

Blaming Clinton, Biden, Obama, Harris, Carter, or Angela Davis won’t make it go away. But I guess the troll has gotta try.

DHS Secretary Dog Butcher Barbie’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad week just got much worse.

    https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.278436/gov.uscourts.dcd.278436.208.0_2.pdf

After the en banc circuit sent the case back to the district last week, this morning the district denied the government’s motion for reconsider its order finding probable cause for contempt. The district will now proceed with that public inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the DHS’s violation of the court’s order to stop and return deportation flights to El Salvador in violation of the due process rights in the Fifth and Fourteenth Ammendments guaranteed to all persons in the United States.

Having already issued lawful subpoenas approved by the Circuit, Judge Boasberg will next week begin deposing the criminals on record. And perhaps in a fit of profound impudence and over confidence in their tortured understanding of the law, the DOJ has already admitted into the court record its sworn statements that the orders to disobey the court came directly from the Dog Butcher herself. So it now appears that, coming straight off a resoundingly poor performance before the oversight committee this week in which the Secretary was repeatedly forced to admit her disregard for the law, a specific legal inquiry will begin wherein the lower ranking employees at DHS and DOJ will be required to either implicate themselves or implicate her in a case of criminal contempt of court.

    And she butchers pets.

That phot at Epstein’s estate of the six young women photographed with Donald Trump?

They were contestants in the beauty pageant owned by one of Trump’s companies.

Which is why Elijah chose to focus on the photo of condoms being sold at a flea market but falsely claimed by Democrats to have been part of the Epstein estate photography.

Elijah knew, you see, that the beauty pageant contestants would be too easy to identify.

There’s a very good reason almost two dozen House Republicans joined Democrat’s discharge petition this week bringing to the floor a full vote on legislation restoring union representation to federal employees stripped by the Fat Pedophile.

And beckoning our attention into distractions about the teen pageants the Fat Pedophile used to recruit child trafficking victims doesn’t help make it go away.

@135 I thought the best part of the hearing was when she was compelled to thank the victims of her abuse for their and their loved ones’ military service. And boy, was that a half-hearted thank you, barely audible. I can practically guarantee this woman’s political ambitions will end with her DHS flop.
