@1 Only those things going on in Arkansas are not palace intrigue. This is classic palace intrigue. It is not as good as Shakespeare. What happened was easily repaired as he could have married the sister, but instead sends her out and is later killed by his brother who is the full brother of Tamar. Yes it’s good to be the King. Perhaps II Samuel picks on poor David and shows him in poorer light, perhaps, only Shakespeare would have done it far far better. After all he created all the propaganda around the War of the Roses.
