  4. Ah, what would any of us give up for sanity in public policy? I wish I’d seen the whole episode. Most of us are probably too into ourselves, if given some Faustian option, to choose peace and prosperity in the world for happiness in our own home. But, debating such issues is always pleasurable and keeps philosophers–God bless ’em–employed.
