Oh man… there’s so much to talk about:

  • The Seattle Weekly’s Geov Parrish on Aaron Dixon’s voting record: “Totally clean — nonexistent. His driving record, not so clean.”
  • The Seattle Times on the Burner buzz: “Dems’ hopes rise in 8th, along with rookie’s fortunes”
  • The Stranger’s Cienna Madrid on Darcy Burner’s fundraising prowess: “I would have built a fort of money and then had sex in it.”
  • Carl Ballard on Darcy Burner at Drinking Liberally: “What Cienna said except without the sex in a fort made of money.”

Would you please stop lying about darcy burner; that is, she was NEVER an executive. Man, like 10000 people are the same job title, yeah some w/ more responsibility but even folks 2 or 3 levels above “program manager” are not executives.

In reality Program manager is an entry level job. Group program manager is 1 level above, what you get say 3 yrs into your career, if youre good.

She likely was good, but occupying a low to mid level position, ain’t executive stuff

again, almost no jobs lower on the totem pole than hers…

Yeah parsing the job title of the candidate IS important. Take that lying piece of shit crybaby Rossi. He claimed he was a real estate BROKER when in fact he was only a real estate AGENT. By the way, if he represented himself in a real estate transaction as a BROKER when he wasn’t, that’s a criminal offense.

So you righties, get your focus on titles and teach that ignorant lying fuck Rossi the difference between an AGENT and a BROKER will you?

Your ignorance and blind partisanship will be the end of you. Those of us in the know fully understand that next years budget is already overspent by half a billion. Yeah, that’s right 500 million. So much for putting away all those millions for a rainy day fund. How about that viaduct that’s about to fall down and all those terrible bridges and road that all need fixin before the next big one.

LBKAG you are just another dumb sheep. But in a state that would rather protect trees and animals far more than our children you fit right in!

Roger and Gang it appears the Democrats support illegal aliens free Citizenship instead of deportation.

    U. S. Senate Democrats block amendment that would prevent criminal illegal aliens from obtaining citizenship
Seattle, WA – “I am extremely disappointed by the Democrats’ attempts to block a Republican amendment that would prevent illegal aliens convicted of felonies from getting US citizenship,” said Washington State Republican Party Chairman Diane Tebelius earlier today. Democrats, lead by Minority Leader Harry Reid claimed that the amendment “hurts” the immigration reform bill currently being considered by the US Senate. Washington State’s Maria Cantwell was predictably silent on the issue. “Does Maria Cantwell support making U.S. Citizens out of illegal aliens with felony convictions?” asked Tebelius.
Contrary to Maria Cantwell’s avoidance of this issue, Republican Senate candidate Mike McGavick has taken a clear stand. “Not allowing felony convicted aliens the privilege of law abiding citizens, the privilege of working and residing in The United States common sense,” said McGavick. “Yet the Senate Minority objects? Worse they will not even permit a vote on the issue. If the Senate is not allowed to reach a consensus on criminal aliens becoming citizens, what hope is there for true immigration reform?”
“I don’t know how anyone could object to this a common sense amendment,” said Tebelius. “Clearly the Democrats are out of step with the American people on this issue. Maria Cantwell owes the voters of this state an explanation.”

Alison – Your definition of “executive” leaves out a lot of people who are executives.

What it appears like here is that because some people (like yourself) seem to have a certain image of what an executive is, and given Darcy’s age and tenure, and how that meshes with that image, she simply can’t have been an executive.

Problem is that just because you can’t imagine it doesn’t mean that it isn’t the case.

For example, when I think of the President of the United States of America, I think of a leader, with experience, foreign policy acumen, someone intelligent and educated on the issues, someone respected by a vast majority of people in this country and around the world.

George W. Bush doesn’t fit that profile, yet try as I might to wish it weren’t true, he is still in actual fact the President of the United States of America.

    • 3 actions to take now to position yourself for the monster profits when today’s speculative oil prices fall back to the $35 to $40 range.
    • Why there is plenty of oil to meet the growing worldwide demand.
    • Why hedge funds will start dumping their oil contracts like there is no tomorrow. And how to double your money when it happens!
    • Why Steve Forbes predicts that skyrocketing oil prices are just temporary and that a massive price collapse is coming that will bring oil down to $35 to $40 per barrel and dwarf the Dot-Com crash of 2000.
    • Why many doom and gloom forecasts of $100 oil are based upon a common misunderstanding about oil supplies, and is being fueled by frenzied speculators.
    • The surprising truth about how this past year’s hurricane season is really affecting oil prices.

Roger and Gang is this truth or fiction? What do you say?

Hollywood Liberals are Attacking a Conservative Black Republican Again
Black GOP Congressional Candidate Vernon Robinson has a refreshingly bold TV ad that has whipped the liberals into a hysterical frenzy! The Rainbow Coalition has demanded that Vernon Robinson take the TV ad down because, among other things, it features Jesse Jackson’s mug shot.
Liberal journalist Keith Olbermann broadcast Vernon’s ad on his “Countdown” show on MSNBC last month and said only, “Well, I’ll just let it speak for itself.” Vernon Robinson’s Democrat opponent has posted Vernon’s ad on the left wing websites and is actually using it to raise money. One left-wing blogger wrote, “My head just exploded!” Another wrote, “It’s worse than the Swift Boat and Willie Horton ads combined.”
Because the spot uses a clip from “Leave it to Beaver” and the theme music from “The Twilight Zone,” the lawyers for actor Jerry Mathers (the “Beaver”), CBS Television Studios, and the Screen Actors Guild contacted our campaign last week. They told us their clients are being pressured by the gay activists and the illegal alien advocacy groups to “take legal action” if we don’t take down the ad. Our campaign’s lawyers assure us that the ad fits squarely within the “fair use” exception for protected political speech.
Every conservative should watch this ad. You’ll find a link to the ad at the bottom of this page. But before you go to it, please read the letter below from Vernon. You’ll understand why the thought of Vernon Robinson’s election to Congress is enough to make a liberal’s head explode and why Vernon needs your support!

Roger and Gang a new read for you, your favorite subject and the rabbit first love.

    http://www.newsmaxstore.com/nm.....ct_ID=1974

Now, in How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must), which is sure to ignite impassioned debate, she offers her most comprehensive analysis of the American political scene to date. With incisive reasoning, refreshing candor, and razor-sharp wit, she reveals just why liberals have got it so wrong.

In this powerful and entertaining book, which draws on her weekly columns, Coulter ranges far and wide. No subject is off-limits, and no comment is left unsaid. After all, she writes, “Nothing too extreme can be said about liberals because it’s all true.” How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must) offers Coulter’s unvarnished take on:
    • The essence of being a liberal: “The absolute conviction that there is one set of rules for you, and another, completely different set of rules for everyone else.”
    • John Kerry: “A reporter asked Kerry, ‘Are you for or against gay marriage?’ As usual, his answer was, ‘Yes.’ ”
    • Her 9/11 comments: “I am often asked if I still think we should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity. The answer is: Now more than ever!”
    • The state of the Democratic Party: “Teddy Kennedy crawls out of Boston Harbor with a quart of Scotch in one pocket and a pair of pantyhose in the other, and Democrats hail him as their party’s spiritual leader.”
    • Her philosophy for arguing with liberals: “Tough love, except I don’t love them. My ‘tough love’ approach is much like the Democrats’ ‘middle-class tax cuts’—everything but the last word.”
    • The “Treason Lobby”: “Want to make liberals angry? Defend the United States.”

Roger and Gang is this really true about this Socialist Democrat? What say you?

    Union-Buster Nancy Pelosi
    Jim Meyers, NewsMax.com
    Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005
A blockbuster NewsMax Magazine story by best-selling author Peter Schweizer exposes how Democratic leaders passionately fight for liberal policies, but go to great lengths to avoid applying those policies in their personal lives.
Hoover Fellow Schweizer bases his blistering report on his new book “Do As I Say (Not As I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy,” which has reached both the No. 1 spot on Amazon.com’s list of best-selling nonfiction books and the coveted New York Times list its first week out. In his book and NewsMax Magazine’s special report Schweizer reveals the glaring contradictions between the public stances and real-life behavior of prominent liberals including Al Franken, Ralph Nader, Ted Kennedy, Barbra Streisand, Hillary Clinton and George Soros. And in his NewsMax Magazine cover story, he especially details the hypocrisy of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
The California Democrat claims to be a staunch union supporter, and along with her husband has received the Cesar Chavez award from the United Farm Workers union.
Unions are, in her words, “fighting for America’s working families” and battling “the union-busting, family-hurting” Bush administration. But Schweizer has uncovered that the $25 million Northern California vineyard the Pelosis own is a non-union shop!
Schweizer writes: “Welcome to Hypocrisy Central.”
But Pelosi’s hypocrisy doesn’t stop there.
The congresswoman is the top recipient among members of Congress in campaign contributions from labor unions, and has received more money from the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union than any other member of Congress in the last several election cycles.
But in addition to the wine business, the Pelosis own a large stake in the exclusive Auberge du Soleil hotel in Rutherford, Calif.
The hotel has more than 250 employees, but once again, Schweizer found, it is strictly a non-union shop.
The Pelosis are also partners in a restaurant chain called Piatti, which has 900 employees.
“But a union card is not required to work there bussing tables, washing dishes, serving guests or preparing food,” Schweizer writes in NewsMax Magazine.
“As with Auberge du Soleil, at Piatti the Pelosis’ commitment to organized labor ends at the front door.” Pelosi has also demonstrated hypocrisy on the environment.
“With us,” she proclaims, “the environment is not an issue – it’s an ethic. It’s a value.”
That’s what she says. Schweizer uncovered what she does: One of her largest investments is a private partnership called Lions Gate Limited, which operates the CordeValle Golf Club and Resort in San Martin, Calif.
To get a permit to build the facility, the partners promised to build a “public course” providing considerable access to non-members, and to abide by several environmental requirements to ensure that there would be minimal ecological damage.
But after the facility opened, the county’s Planning Commission found that the golf course was in fact private – and the club had “ignored” many of its permit requirements concerning the environment.
What’s more, the course was causing a drawdown in the freshwater aquifer, which could have serious implications for wildlife in the area. So much for worrying about the environment.
Schweizer also reveals that another “environmentalist” named Ted Kennedy can be two-faced when it comes to helping mother earth.
Kennedy has recently charged that Republicans have “poisoned our air and water” by repealing environmental protection laws.
But when it came to protecting the environment in Massachusetts, Teddy tried to torpedo a plan to erect dozens of wind turbines off the coast of Massachusetts to provide clean alternative energy to Cape Cod.
Apparently Teddy went ballistic when he found out that some some of the turbines would be placed near his favorite sailing spot just off Hyannis Port.
Schweizer’s bombshell NewsMax Magazine report also details how Ted Kennedy, who has fought for the estate tax and spoken out against tax shelters, has repeatedly benefited from an intricate web of trusts and private foundations that have shielded most of his family’s fortune from the IRS.
One Kennedy family trust wasn’t even set up in the U.S. – but in Fiji. “The reality is that liberals like to preach in moral platitudes,” says Schweizer.

    http://spaces.msn.com/greaserg.....1098.entry

However, Burner’s campaign biography on her candidate website says absolutely nothing about law school, and instead claims that Burner left Microsoft in order to run for Congress:

“After Darcy got her degree, she and Mike moved to California to work in the high tech sector. She focused on changing companies’ products and services to better respond to the customers’ real problems.

In the summer of 1998, Mike was offered a job at Microsoft. Darcy and he moved to Washington.

Darcy went to work for Microsoft in 2000 and became the lead manager for an initiative to change the way software was built. It was very successful and enhanced Darcy’s reputation as a successful executive.

Eager to start a family, Darcy became pregnant and took maternity leave from Microsoft. Henry Burner was born in January of 2003.

Darcy has been active in her community and in state politics. She left Microsoft to spend the time necessary to be elected to the United States Congress in the 8th District.”

Darcy Burner was elected to serve on the Executive Board of the Student Bar Association, which is the student government at the law school, for the coming 2005-06 academic year. In fact, Burner was elected to be the law student representative to the Washington State Bar Association.

However, Burner dropped out of law school after the spring quarter of 2005 and decided to run for U.S. House instead (and not mention the fact that she ever attended law school). As a result, Burner never served a day in the position that she had been elected to, and the SBA had to appoint another law student to fill the vacant position:

You should know better. Obviously, once Burner decided to run for Congress, she could not continue as a full time law student as well. Bigots like the Minutemen scapegoat immigrant workers while anti-abortionists try to strip women of the right to choose. Meanwhile, the Democrats seem to offer no alternative to Bush’s attacks.

Socialism 2006 provides a place where activists from today’s fights against the Right can come together to discuss how we can rebuild the Left and win a world where ordinary people will decide the priorities of our society. Goldy maybe you can answer this question, does the Democrat Party so disparate that it needs the Criminal vote to win an election? Does Maria Cantwell support making U.S. Citizens out of illegal aliens with felony convictions? Roger and Gang feel free to clarify the subject matter, because it appears that you folks support the decline of this country and the Democrat Party.

Democrats, led by Minority Leader Harry Reid claimed that the amendment “hurts” the immigration reform bill currently being considered by the US Senate.

“Not allowing felony convicted aliens the privilege of becoming citizens of The United States is common sense,” said McGavick.

When the reporter from Cox Broadcasting tried to ask McKinney about the grand jury, the bodyguard told him, “I’m going to put your ass in jail. I’m a police officer,” a videotape of the incident shows.

Asked if he worked for Capitol police, the man said, “I work for Miss McKinney.”

Word that McKinney had hired a bodyguard roiled the ranks of the Capitol police who were worried that the guard was carrying a weapon. They said they are concerned about what the bodyguard might do if Capitol police challenged McKinney at a security checkpoint.

    Dear President Bush:

I’m about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I’m going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this. I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I’m sure they handle those things the same way you do here.

So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I’m on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

    1. Free medical care for my entire family.

    2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

    3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

    4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

    5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

    6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

    7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

    8. I will need a local Mexican driver’s license so I can get easy access to government services.

    9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won’t make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

    10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.

    11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

    12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don’t enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

    13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy or I will have to sue for free money.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won’t mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

DeLAY CAUGHT TRYING TO SWITCH IDENTITIES WITH ILLEGAL ALIEN Texas Congressman Snagged in Border Sweep Embattled Texas congressman Tom DeLay was arrested last night as he attempted to switch identities with an illegal alien at the Texas-Mexico border, immigration officials confirmed today.

For Mr. DeLay, who earlier this year stepped down from his leadership position in the House of Representatives and who just this week said he would not seek reelection, this brush with the law was just the latest in a series of stunning setbacks.

According to the official who arrested him, the former House Majority Leader was trying to tempt illegal aliens to switch identities with him in the hopes that he could start over with a new, simpler life as a Mexican laborer.

“Apparently, though, there were no takers,” the official said.

One illegal alien who spoke on condition of anonymity said that Rep. DeLay offered him all of his credentials and even his key to the House men’s room, but that ultimately his offer was not attractive.

“I would rather take my chances being an illegal alien in America than being Tom DeLay,” he said. “At least as an illegal alien I have a chance of being legalized – there’s no way that the things Tom DeLay has done will ever be considered legal.”

Roger I did not see anything about sex-predators in that amendment, but this State loves sex predators. The local judges are letting them out, and the lawmakers are asleep at the wheel. Forget the Parties they are both to blame for the early release of sex predators. Besides, a bunch of Socialist Democrats runs this state, for now the real Democrats and Republics do not have a say in the matter.
