  28. Cynical: While in Atlanta recently I was listening to the radio as I was traveling to the gig. An articulate, college educated, Gulf War I veteran black woman from Georgia came on, (I said um, um, uh) and discussed how educated middle class blacks are fed up with the Jesse/Al garbage and her whole family from her and her husband, their siblings up to her grandmother voted Republican and gave five major reasons why. The two I remember were do nothing donks and continual class warefare rhetoric. Where’s the beef lefties, What are your plans?

    Byron York said on the radio last night as I drove home from the airport. If DeLay is convicted and the evidence is awfully flimsy he said, the Donks have nothing as an alternative to the Repubs. Their poll numbers are not higher because the populace remembers 40 years of do nothingness.

    Hard to imagine a LEFTIST PINHEAD like yersef listenin’ to Country Western…..if so, perhaps there is a glimmer of hope. The vast majority of Country-Western singers are unabashed Republicans. They support our troops 100%….instead of pretending to like the Peter, Paul and Mary crowd. I don’t consider it support when the LEFTIST PINHEADS say our mission is murder….but we support the troops! Gimmee a break. A bunch of pansy-asses who willingly jeopardize the future and security of our Country to make points with the LEFTISTS, MARXISTS and other members of the fringe lunatic LEFT.

    The last 6 people returning from Iraq (that I’ve talked to) have said the same thing – they don’t think we’re making progress, they don’t know why we’re there, they don’t think the Iraqis are capable of democracy, they feel abandoned by the Bush administration, they feel underfunded and underequipped and 4 of them are leaving the Service, one after 17 years, another after 10. They feel in danger all the time with no way to fight back. One guy had movies on his computer and showed me how terribly exposed they are. The equipment is constantly jamming from the sand. They have a million stories about the incompetence of their commanders. Their biggest fear is being crippled and winding up in some VA hell-hole.

    None of them said anything about Dodge Rams or C&W music. Nobody blamed “the Left” for the failures of this mission. Does anyone bother to ask them, or is it just me?

    This is patriotism to you?

    I’m pretty sure they’d just LOVE to use Mr. Cynical for target practice.
