As for the taxes, if the authorities can prove that I knowingly and willfully filed false returns or hid assets, as someone with no criminal record it would be expected that I would be sentenced to repayment with penalty and interest. But some unserious twat on the internet thinks I will be sentenced to prison because…reasons.

Either of those are bad claims, probably bad faith claims. Mac Isaac said that he copied data from the laptop before contacting the FBI about it and turning it over to them. And he’s also said that it was this data that he sold to Giuliani. So we know this data predates and is distinct from whatever the FBI has on the laptop drive. And we know that it is this data that has been forensically analyzed and found to be more than 90% unverifiable with multiple changes and rewrites and portions of the cryptographic signatures deliberately removed after the data was extracted from the laptop. So nobody needs to ask the FBI if the data they have is the same. It can’t be.
Regardless of what the FBI found on the hard drive they got from the repair guy, we know it isn’t the same data as the stuff Giuliani was distributing in 2020. So what the FBI says about whatever files they pulled from the laptop is unrelated to what Giuliani was distributing in 2020.
