Wow, the video editing is just phenomenal (NOT). But why all the loud music ? To put Drama in ? To make it more “urban” ? It’s really hard to hear the words: You are trespassing or You are not invited.
Hope you didn’t pay money for this.
YLB spews:
Very cool!
Get those GOPPs guys!

Hehehe….
To recap.
Gregoire’s endorsements:
# Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs;
# Washington State Fraternal Order of Police;
# WFSE/AFSME, Local 308, the union that represents community corrections officers;
# Law Enforcement Administrators of Washington;
# Washington State Patrol Lieutenants Association;
# Washington State Patrol Troopers Association;
# Washington State Association of Fire Chiefs;
# Washington State Council of Firefighters.
Dino’s endorsements:
Seattle Police Officers Guild
And honestly, those guys in the video didn’t look real thrilled to be there.
Richard Pope spews:
Michael @ 3
Dino Rossi’s website does claim the endorsement of the following additional law enforcement organizations:
King County Police Officer’s Guild
Kitsap County Deputy Sheriff’s Guild
The Port Orchard Police Association
Renton Police Officers Guild
Skamania County Law Enforcement Guild
Richland Police Officers Benefit Association
Lakewood Police Independent Guild

Not sure whether this list is intended to be complete, since Rossi’s endorsement page lists suspiciously few endorsements.
michael spews:
Watch the tards in the MSM use Dino’s one (1!!!) law enforcement endorsement as an argument for parity. I mean, Dino did get one after all. So you could say that some police like Dino and some police like Gregoire.
michael spews:
@4
I was cribbing from that notoriously liberal rag the PI. I blame the liberal media!
G’Nite folks.
PS. I live right down the street from Port Orchard and I wouldn’t trust their police to know how to tie their own shoes. At least on that one it’s not a real shining endorsement.

I want to know how the greasy real estate salesman intends to build an 8-lane 520 bridge for a billion bucks less than a 6-lane bridge costs! I sure don’t want that guy balancing my checkbook! He’ll probably tax old people in nursing homes and kick poor kids off Medicaid.
Richard Pope spews:
Roger Rabbit @ 7
He doesn’t intend to do anything other than get elected. And he will say and do anything to achieve that goal.
Dino Rossi will balance the state budget, which faces a $2.4 billion shortfall next year, by the following rational economic program:
1. Repeal the inheritance tax
2. Reduce the gasoline tax
3. Reduce taxes for builders
4. Divert billions from the general fund into roads and bridges (including SR-520)
5. Build more prisons and hire more corrections officers

Under Gov. Gregoire of the law and order party, Washington has the #1-rated state policy agency in the nation.
Politically Incorrect spews:
You know, all this pissing’ and moanin’ that you guys do lead me to believe that you’re afraid Rossi will win. Rossi ain’t gonna win because:
1. The Republicans, at the national level, have performed so poorly that their brand is badly tarnished.
2. This is an extremely liberal state, just shy of Oregon is looniness.
3. King County Elections will always be there in the gubernatorial election, as a back-up, to insure a Democrat wins as governor.
As for me, I’ll be voting for a third-party candidate for governor in November.

Roger & Richard (# 7 & 8). Yep, you’ve got Dino’s number. When I was young, people used to laugh about the hypothetical politicians that promised to lower taxes and increase government services. With Dino, we have one in the flesh.
Republicans did some polling and discovered (“gasp!”) that high gas prices and traffic were considered by many to be problems which aggravated them. So he pushes out commercials which try to make it look like he’s sympathetic, and he’s going to fix those problems. Of course, the fact that he’s got no realistic agenda to solve either of the problems is beside the point.
What kind of real estate agent would Dino be, if he can’t sell himself? Dino’s real agenda is a bit like Ted Kazinski’s cabin, a broken-down shack built out in the boondocks, built without permits and out of code and in sore need of demolition. To Dino, though, his agenda is a “charming cottage with real potential, in a quiet neighborhood!”

Look Guv Gregoire IS a competent., knowledgeable administrator while Dino can not tell Lou Guzzo from Bill Gates. He should lose. She MAY lose. why? Because in a campaign of mud slinging her best ulities and his worst are indistinguishable.
WADR to her managers, she should be showing some evidence of leadership.
If I were Rossi. this is how I would win:
1. Spread rumor that she is planning to leave for an Admin job, leaving us with the demo candydate/lt guv cum rock star!
2. Raise UW Tacoma and UW Bothell as scandalous misuse of the uW brand.
3. Offer state wide transportation plan.
4. Make a state policy on immigrants.

Republicans will never get over the fact they failed to prevent King County’s 850,000 voters from exercising their constitutional right to vote. They can’t stand the fact Washington isn’t Florida or Ohio and we have democracy in this state.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@13 “What kind of real estate agent would Dino be, if he can’t sell himself?”
We already know the answer to that. Dino worked for a broker who went to prison for literally robbing widows and orphans, and when the broker got out of prison Dino wasted no time beating a path to his door to work for him again.

I see the PDC recently filed a complaint against the WSRP because the party claimed to have given Rossi $92,522.80 worth of in-kind contributions in 2004 but Rossi’s campaign claims they weren’t notified of it, so Rossi didn’t report it. Seems like a lot of money to somehow not notice!
ByeByeGOP spews:
You know what? The right wing lie about Dino getting robbed is not only wrong, stupid and ineffective – it doesn’t matter. Personally – I hope it’s true. I know how dangerous Rossi would be for our state so I don’t care how we beat him – as long as we do. Let the right wing cunts call 1-800-waaaaaaaah again – then let them eat shit and die.
ByeByeGOP spews:
Oh yes – I am aware of a group that is going to make sure they are on public property anywhere proven liar Dino Rossi appears to ask him one simple question:

I believe this election will be decided by less than 2 points.
Mr. Cynical spews:
Let’s see:
Gregoire has this going for her:
**$8 BILLION of increased spending
**$2.9 Billion Deficit situation to address that she created.
**Highest Unemployment Rate in 3-1/2 Years 5.7%
**Transportation still in disarray. $1.1 BILLION committed on Viaduct and no Viaduct Plan
**DSHS still in disarray.
**State Retirement Fund had a $5.1 BILLION deficit (underfunded) @ 6/30/07. $38 BILLION invested in stocks. Markets DOWN about 10% since 6/30/07 meaning DEFICIT could be $7-8 BILLION.
And much, much more.
Gregoire’s portrayal of Washington State as a Bed of Roses will not fly. Tens of thousands of small, local businesses are supporting ROSSI..for many good reasons.
Show me the businesses that support Gregoire??
Richard Pope spews:
Messenger @ 26
If you are right, you definitely have a point. However, I don’t think the PDC will do anything about it. They will said that the Washington State G.0.P. Party reported making the contributions, that this was available for the public to see, and therefore no real harm was caused by R0SSI not reporting the in-kind contributions. They will instruct R0SSI to amend his PDC reports to report the G.0.P. Party in-kind contributions, and leave it at that.
I will say that R0SSI, facially at least, has a plausible (although extremely weak) excuse. If your supporter makes an in-kind contribution, and you don’t know about it, what are you supposed to do?
On the other hand, it shows horrible management by R0SSI of his campaign finances. There are more examples of that, actually.
rhp6033 spews:
32: I would agree that “in kind” contributions are capable of going unnoticed, depending upon their source. For example, if I spent several thousand dollars printing up flyers in support of Gregoire and hiring some people to put them on people’s doorknobs, it is an “in-kind” contribution, but not necessarily one which Gregoire would know about, unless it made the news or a Gregoire high-level manager happened to get one on his front door.
But since the Republican “in-kind” contribution came from the Republican Party, you would expect that there would be considerable discussion between the campaign accounting staffs back and forth. After all, a lot of campaign events have dual benefits for both Rossi, the Republican Party in general, aw well as other Republican candidates. I can see a lot of discussion about who pays which bills, and who gets what amount from funds raised at such events.
But then, Rossi’s never been a “details” sort of guy – he just wants to be the “big picture” guy, and doesn’t want to get down-and-dirty with the numbers – as his transportaiton plan evidenced.
SeattleJew spews:
@31 Mr. Cynical
The saddest part of this thread is that there are (some) bright people here seriously debating whether Gregoire, a sitting governor, in a Democratic state, in the year of the ass, in a year where Obama will take this state overwhelmingly, is fighting Rossi for the mud wrestling award.
Most of what you cite abut her is as smelly as her shit about Rossi.
E.g. she paints him as an antiabortion fanatic. That is skunkturds, Rossi is devout Catholic and does oppose Roe but has never taken relevant action as a politician and has said he will not address this as guv. Ain’t it so that the guy has a rigt to his beliefs?
OTOH
he paints her as a spendthrift. In reality our asinine tax policies mean the state builds up unfunded obligations that MUST be paid when the revenue stream is higher. The salary increases to teachers and increased spending on jails were mandated by the voters!
I honeslty can not come up with a single issue where either of them has actually said something that shows a vision for the State’s needs or future directions.
Maybe I will join the WAP ..Washington Anarchists Party. We will offer the governship to the dumbest, prettiest talking head we can find on TV provides she has no record of drug use, posing in the nude, referring to someone esle as a nigger, sleeping with a friend of the same sex, excess foot movements in the bathroom, etc,

Chin up!!
It’s called P-O-L-I-T-I-C’s.
The idea is NOT to paint your opponent as the 2nd coming SJ.
You get votes 2 ways…………
Way #1–People like you and your ideas.
Way #2–People dislike your opponent.
If you fail to mine for votes BOTH ways, you will certainly be the loser.
You impress me as a very decent human being.
Seriously.
We may disagree on some stuff…but I’m sure you aren’t a zealot like the LEFTIST PINHEADED KLOWNS who feed on the cockroach macaca. You are a critical thinker..not a spewer of vulgarity and venom. That’s good.
Listen, to not hold Gregoire accountable for the $2.9 BILLION deficit for the upcoming biennium would mean YOU actually believe she had absolutely no choices in her spending.
That is patently FALSE SJ.
The voters mandated salary increases when the economy was good. It has turned and Gregoire knew it when she hid behind that vote and spent the money anyway..it was money to her main supporters!
And now Gregoire has the nerve to campaign and minimize the problem…offering no specific solutions other than things might get better, it’s Bush’s Fault and what will Rossi do??
What will she cut?
What taxes will she increase?
Fair questions, wouldn’t you agree?
Don’t be so glum SJ.
It will be over in less than 3 months………..then a new cycle will begin.
Steve spews:

rhp6033 spews:
If Rove vs. Wade get’s overturned, the abortion issue ends up right back with the states. That does make it a relevant issue in the gubenatorial campaign.
Rossi apparantly is campaigning for head of an oil company, and wants to complain about high gas prices and traffic jams. Anything else he doesn’t want to talk about – including the fact that he doesn’t have any realistic way to address either problem.

Richard Pope @62: You’re probably right. The thing I find quite concerning, however, is that the PDC is not enforcing the law equally. They are throwing the book at some candidates while others seem to get a pass no matter how egregious the violations.
The PDC is also not enforcing the rule that says they have to identify the sub-vendor when political consultants do work for a campaign. We don’t get to know how much is REALLY spent on the various components of the job. In light of the recent Alaska indictment against William Weimar, who allegedly conspired with “Consultant A”, a “Seattle” political consultant, I can see the potential for shady dealings that go undetected. In the case of Weimar, the indictment says he funneled $20,000 in cash (divided into two $8500 payments and one $3000 payment to evade currency reporting requirements)to this local consultant with instructions to keep it from going through the campaign’s books. Weimar supposedly knew his candidate, if elected, would vote his way on some private prison development.
The Anchorage Daily News has linked some interesting documents, including the Plea Agreement and Factual Basis for Plea.
The Anchorage Daily News suggests that Madison Communications is Consultant A, although they did not come right out and say so definitively. I figure it won’t be long before we all know who is who. Weimer pled guilty to mail and wire fraud and structuring financial transactions.
