Last weekend, inspired by Scott St. Clair*, I joined the Evergreen Freedom Foundation.
I recommend the experience!
For the regular contribution of 0.01 dollars/month, I was thanked for contributing to the EFF’s “ministry!” Not only is this a very modest sum, it is tax deductible just like other monistries.
The EFF does many good things, including supporting Dino Rossi’s efforts at electoral justice, opposing the state’s constitutional obligation to fund education, promoting religious free speech in the public schools, and glorifying Mt. Vernon’s hero, Glenn Beck.
Best off all, and largely unheralded, the EFF provides financial support to HA. The ministry funda an “investigative reporter” to work full time and report here. That reporter, well known for his deep knowledge of global warming gained as a head hunter is none other than “Piper Scott”*, well known on HA as a Troll.
For those who may be unaware, donating small sums by credit card is an effective way of getting a tax deduction at the expense of the recipient of the largesse. Credit card companies charge transaction fees, so small donations actually cost them money.
Previously, SJ has become a member of the Republican party for $.25/month. That was not deductible but it has apid for itself in copious mailings, invitations to the White House, etc.

Roger Rabbitspews:
Bellevue gun rights entrepreneur (and convicted felon) Alan Gottleib has endorsed Susan Hutchison for King County executive, a sure indication that Hutch is wingnut-approved.
Gottleib is quoted in the fishwrapper as saying he feels “my gun rights are in good hands” with Hutchison, and that her election would be “a game-changer for politics in Washington State … Dow Constantine is the type of Seattle liberal who has dominated the recent political scene. But if Susan can defeat him in November, it will open doors for numerous [conservative] candidates in 2010 and in 2013 who will change the direction our state is headed.”
Gottleib urged conservatives to donate to her campaign.
Roger Rabbit Commentary: This is all the proof you need that Hutch’s pose as a moderate is pure malarkey.

Roger Rabbitspews:
Various news sources reported this morning that the health insurance industry plans to attack President Obama’s health care reform initiative with an ad campaign claiming that insurance premiums would soar if reform is enacted.
If they’re right, that’s why we need a public option.
11
Roger Rabbitspews:
@5 “And he proved Rossi won.”
Bullshit. The best lawyers Republican money can buy, a handpicked Republican judge in a forum-shopped Republican county, and a two-week trial that cost $4 million proved Rossi lost.
“Look at the mess Gregoire has made.”
You’re right, Gregoire has made a goddamn mess — by turning into a Rossi clone and enacting the budget Rossi would have. But why should we believe the real Rossi would have made less of a mess by doing exactly the same thing?
12
Roger Rabbitspews:
@6 Nah, I think it’s intentional, therefore he’s not delusional, he’s a liar.
13
Roger Rabbitspews:
@7 “promoting religious free speech in the public schools”
You’re mistaken, SJ. EFF doesn’t want religious free speech in public schools. They have absolutely no intention of letting Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, Mormons, Bahais, nativists, agnostics, atheists, or anyone else promote their religious views in public schools. They want a monopoly.
14
Roger Rabbitspews:
@7 “glorifying Mt. Vernon’s hero, Glenn Beck”
Mount Vernon has a real hero — Lawrence Colburn. Why don’t we hear anything from mayor Bud Norris or EFF about him?
15
Roger Rabbitspews:
@8 Good thinking, SJ! It’s perfectly legal, too. And anything that undermines the GOP or EFF is morally righteous, as well.

Roger Rabbitspews:
Stefan’s idea of “comedy” is getting a single mom waitress fired for telling his rowdy kid to be quiet in a crowded restaurant. Stefan is not only a lousy parent, he’s a lousy human being.
Congratulations to Goldy for having a full time investigative reporter paid to work on the blog! It appears that this service is being provided at no ocst to HA!
The presence of a pis blogger hare, other than Goldy himself, is a milestone in the success of HA.
Pipe Scott is a surprising choice for this role. The Piper’s offerings are pretty standard fare for a Troll .. Global Warming as a fraud, Rossi was screwed, teachers should not strike, etc. Unlike other trolls, Piper rarely shows up in Troll Patrol because he rarely uses the creative sexual language of Trolls.
As a member of the EFF, SJ was interested in determining how my contributions are being spent. I knew Piper had played some role in the EFF festival for Glenn Beck and, after an extensive investigation, I realized that Piper was the EFF’s own “Scott St. Clair.”
Strangely, in his EFF persona, Scott is the only employee without a job title!
SJ investigators used sophisticated Internet Reverse Index Search (aka IRIS) to determine what role HA’s Troll might be playing at the EFF. HA’s Piper apparently is employed as the sole “investigative reporter” for the EFF ministry. In that capacity he has recently been reporting on the socialist plot to unionize our schools.
There is more to be said about this Troll and SJ recommends the untiring effort by an unpaid regular of HA, Lee. Writing as “thehim” HA’s intrepid campaigner for drug freedoms has summarized much of MJr. Scott’s writings in a series called The Crackpiper Chronicles over at Lee’s blog.

@5: I second that. I guess Goldy supports fraudulent and rigged elections. Typical.
Max Blumenthal said it well. The right wing isn’t dead – it is the undead – a zombie movement that spins itself into ever more bizarre thought patterns reinforced by its degenerate echo chamber.
Eventually this batshit insanity will lead to violence as we saw in the case of McVeigh.

Oh, Goldy- so you do comedy too! Who’da thunk?
I mean- that’s what you wanted to hear when you started this thread, wasn’t it?

Search how many times ylb arschloch has used Tim McVeigh over the years. Same stupid “man”, same stupid comments.
He condones his brain dead echo chamber. He brings stuff from it here everyday including from right wing zombie hangouts like Free Republic.
Awwwwww. So Stupes and some of his buddies condemn McVeigh and some of them even believe Obama was born in Hawaii.. in 1961 even…
Wow amazing! And yet he somehow he can’t connect the dots between all the fearmongering of Beck, Limpblows and the rest, the fools who march armed outside townhalls , the ministers who preach hate and fear and death on Obama like an ayatollah – this whole kind of mess that CAN produce a Tim McVeigh..
Just amazing.. What a zombie! Such a credit to his movement.

@24 “Many of us on the right have condemned McVeigh over and over.”
That doesn’t change the fact he was a BATSHIT-CRAZY GOVERNMENT-HATING RIGHTWINGER who blew up defenseless women and children in a clumsy attempt to kill some FBI agents. And there’s more like him out there. So why do you hang out with people like this, puddlehead? If you were respectable you’d come over to our side.

The hand picked judge could only take the information and election results as certified by the Sec Of State. The King County Election board withheld the true evidence which is what Stefan was suing them over and he WON a shitload of money and the real results were that Rossi won and Gregoire lost. End of story.
How many Acorn workers went to prison here? Seven was it? King county democrats “found ballots” what eleven times? And some of you wonder why a Census worker was found swinging from a tree? I personally don’t care if a democrat wins an election if that is the real count. But, if there is fraud involved, as there was in this particular race and probably the election between Slade Gorton and whats her face. I’d say you tards better knock off the bullshit. Yeah, I’m delusional alright.
