Stewart owns Clown-NBC

This is all over the Internet Tubes today, but in case you missed it, check out Jon Stewart completely owning Clown-NBC and Rick Santelli.

[flash]http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:cms:item:comedycentral.com:220252[/flash]

Further proof that the best journalists in the country are—comedians, especially Stewart and Colbert, since they seem to be the ones consistently pointing out how utterly and consistently wrong conservatives have been about everything. The Daily Show clip really is an instant classic.

Stewart’s first lie. Porkulus bill had nothing in it for home mortgages. This was a separate $75 Billion bill. But of course the Goldy’s Lieutenant Jon DeVore, one of the Pied Pipers of Public Puke missed that one…

Ever witnessed a Jon Stewart interview… the opposing person doesn’t get much in edgewise. Yeaaaahhhhh!

Cheap populism? That’s his show every night.

Jon, the loser homeowners are those who knew they could never afford the home, didn’t apply the 20% down, and now want Obama to save them. Santelli isn’t discussing the argument of a person who was paying their mortgage on-time and was caught in a layoff. Stewart knows this more than the average HA libtard. He wouldn’t get the ratings if he told the truth.

So if CNBC is the best of the best and has the information, experience, and knowledge that “we” need, why are the libtards now attacking Jim Cramer, Jon? Cramer was the biggest Obama supporter! He said McCain would kill the economy. So I guess he was wrong Jon?

Hey Jon, who received the most from the financial markets?

    Barack Obama (D)$14,227,855
    John McCain (R) $8,477,601
    Hillary Clinton (D) $6,256,456

Why those three? Well those were the only ones left standing…

So the knuckle dragger and NotRight know where these come from http://www.opensecrets.org/pre.....hp?ind=F07.

Questions CEOs like to be asked Jon? Like the libtard WH Press Corp questioning the smartest press secretary every Robert Gibbs or ‘messiah’ Preznit Obama? “What type of dog is the presznit getting his daoughters?”

Allen Stanford? Ponzi scheme where he supported Democratic 78% of the time?

Yep, thanks Jon DeVore, Allen Stanford cracks me up!

You can see the desperation and contempt written all over Brown’s (DEMOCRAT-SPOKANE)

I wonder if Brown will have a challenger in the next election??
I bet she will and this PLUS her approval of all the overspending that lead us into this fiscal disaster will be the Campaign issues.

  20. 28

    spews:

    @27

I don’t care about Cramer’s politics or who he voted for. The guy is a total idiot. How he keeps a job is beyond me.

Barely two months in and you guys are still hoping Obama fails. Indeed after the disaster of the last eight years, he does have his work cut out for him.

We’ll remember this. And if Obama pulls this out, man oh man are you guys going to eat shit.

  23. 32

    Right Stuff spews:

“I don’t care about Cramer’s politics or who he voted for. The guy is a total idiot. How he keeps a job is beyond me.”

OK, did you read the whole article? Pretty interesting.

Myself? I do hope the new administration succeeds, and our economy grows….
But the signals, actions and strategies put forward thus far have had the opposite effect.

  24. 33

    spews:

    Troll,

“…John’s post being an attempt to distract you sheep from more important news.”

Ahhh…yes…once again, Troll demonstrates that her comments “are total crap.” (Her words!)

Hey Troll…your logic is flawed. While it is true that one can attempt to distract by posting on a different topic, it is not true that posting on a topic is prima facia evidence for an attempt at distraction from another topic. There are a nearly infinite number of other reasons why one might post on a particular topic.

But coming from someone who suggests that a woman’s back is not a sexual organ, and that sexual harassment requires touching “the naughty parts” (again, Troll’s words), it is hardly surprising to witness, yet another, utter failure of logic.

  25. 34

    Don Joe spews:

    @ 29

    Santelli was against TARP

Santelli was against the rush to pass the bill. I don’t recall anything where Santelli was saying that the bailout shouldn’t happen or that the amounts were too large. In fact, in the video, Santelli says, “I’m not making a judgement call either way.”

I did some poking around to find anything by Santelli that could be reasonably interpreted to mean that he thought TARP shouldn’t have been done at all, but didn’t find anything. If you have a source for your claim, that’d be greatly appreciated.

  26. 35

  27. 36

    Don Joe spews:

    @ 32

OK, did you read the whole article? Pretty interesting.

I read the whole article. I found it boring as hell. Cramer casting himself as a crusader for people who invest might be a bit more convincing had he not been 180 degrees wrong a couple of times over the past year or two.

But the signals, actions and strategies put forward thus far have had the opposite effect.

You know, I wouldn’t have pegged you for someone who would put much stock in a post hoc fallacy. I must have been wrong about that.

  28. 37

    Politically Incorrect spews:

The fact that Stewart and Colbert are even on the air is testament that our educational system has so “dumbed-down” the populace that these clowns-in-suits can get away with being called “journalist.” They’re not journalists any more than I’m in the Knights Templar! They’re comedians doing their sch tick for dough!

Obviously, I don’t watch those two buffoons, Colbert and Stewart much. Five seconds of their stuff and I’m channel-surfing for an rerun of “The Beverly Hillbillies.”

    ‘Nuff said.

  30. 40

They are comedians, and make no claim otherwise. Their viewing demographic, last I saw, is better educated than that of say, Fox News. Good comedy or satire is nuanced and dry; it comes from astute observers of the human condition who are intelligent. I would assert that Steward and Colbert are fine products of our educational system, and that those who watch them would tend to be so as well.

“…last I saw, is better educated than that of say, Fox News.”

Puddy @ 41: “We can see what Wall Street thinks about each of his ‘initiatives.'”

If the events of the past 6 or 8 months have taught us nothing else, it is that Wall Street is not rational. The markets, rather, are absurdly off-kilter. Citing a decrease in the DJA as evidence of bad economic policy is, frankly, idiocy. Sorry, Puddy, but thanks for playing. (By the way, you’re not out of the running for tomorrow’s award. You’ve got to ramp it up though, man, get some fire in your chest and go for it.)

  37. 49

    Politically Incorrect @ 45,

“Well, Colbert is from South Carolina. I thought all you elitists here hated anything about the South and think anyone from the South is a moron. Could it be that you’re wrong”

No. The problem seems to be that you have adopted a stereotype that is not a reflection of reality.

Suggestion: lay off the wingding talk radio. It misleads you into making idiotic comments.

  39. 52

    proud leftist spews:

    Troll
You’re a bit of a dark horse, but you’re still in the game for tomorrow’s award. Keep posting, quantity of nonsense counts. Hypocrisy counts, too, and you’ve always done well on that front. Step up, lad, break a sweat.

  40. 54

    Steve spews:

@50 Speaking of stocks, Cynical’s latest buy recommendation of last week, Wells Fargo at $13, as with all of Cynical’s buy recommendations, has quite predictably tanked. It closed today at $8 and change and faired even worse in after-hours trading. Way to pick’em, Cynical. As I keep saying, when Cynical says “buy”, short whatever stock he’s yammering about. It works every time.

  41. 55

    proud leftist spews:

Troll @ 52: “You people disgust me.”

  42. 56

    Steve spews:

@52 Don’t count Marvin out. I think he might well have pulled ahead of the Truth today and trails only manoftruth in this week’s Troll Sweepstakes.

  43. 57

    Steve spews:

I dunno, PL, maybe you’re right. These last two posts of Troll’s are real point gainers. Shit. And my money was on manoftruth. I just might prove to be no better at picking trolls than Cynical is at picking stocks. And we all know how much Cynical sucks at picking stocks. Damn.

  44. 58

    proud leftist spews:

    Steve,
Where is Marvie posting? He’s always a solid competitor. He keeps in Limbaughian talking points shape, eats neocon steroids by the handful, dishes out mindless rightwing claptrap by the shovelful. He’s got to at least make the semifinals.

  45. 59

@58 If we consolidated all trolls with “Mark” in their screen name we’d have another contender.

  46. 60

    proud leftist spews:

    59
I must agree. Mark1, by himself, can run, but often he is kind of like a filly in the Kentucky Derby. It’s an interesting story, but she’s unlikely to win. I was kind of hoping some of our female contestants would make an appearance, like Janet
S, for instance. She has a haughtiness about her horseshit that definitely gives her some style points. Alas, I guess Janet just can’t muscle up to face what is some decidedly fierce competition.

  47. 61

    Steve spews:

@60 Indeed. Jane Blalough’s Dog and her imbecilic posts along with her patented “roof roof” and “Hee hee” closing lines would surely be contender.

  48. 62

So when’s the cutoff time for trolls to post? Remember, we’ll need a few hours to laugh our asses off and throw a few jabs at the lose…, er, winner. I suggest 1:00PM PST.

Not only was he an admitted Nazi collaborator, Soros funds Media Matters, Equal Justice USA, Reform Institute, Open Society Institute, MoveOn.Org, Faith and Public Life, CAP, Think Progress, Catholic Left, Catholics in Alliance, Catholics United, and others.

Puddy posted the link where Obama was in front of a seated Soros in 2007.

Remember HA libtards, in March 2004 George Soros wrote against the “Israel Lobby”. He called for the Democratic Party to “liberate” itself from the influence of the pro-Israel lobby. Hillary didn’t listen then. She has now. Soros said America should be dealing with Hamas, who today applauded the Palestinian whack-job who tried to push a police car into a bus filled with little girls heading to an old people’s home during Purim.

    So?

  53. 68

    Steve spews:

  65. 81

    correctnotright spews:

@73: Except, there are NO republican leaders who are willing to stand up to the fat, loudmouthed, ignorant, racist Rush.

Yup, the republican party has no “cahones”. Rush is the defacto leader because no one else will step up and criticize him.

The idea that George Soros somehow speaks for democrats is ludicrous. There is a guy named Obama who is leading the democrats quite well. thank you.

Republican chickenshits are just saying this to try and minimize the damage that has already been done to the spineless minority party. Every sycophantic republican leader that gets down on their knees before Rush is just another example of the invertebrate nature of the republicans.

They MUST toe the party line. NO deviation is allowed in the party line thinking. No one must disagree with King Rush. If Rush says he hopes Obama fails – then all republicans must be unpatriotic too. The Minister of Truth for the republican party, Michael Steele (who is himself under investigation for numerous illegal problems) had to bend his knees and correct himself. What a show of abject submissiveness! Even the old Soviet Union had more pretense of free will than the current republican party. I wonder if Rush is setting up his own personal Gulag.

And that’s not from a liberal. That’s from Richard Viguerie at Conservative HQ.

But, Puddy only pays attention to the facts that support his foregone conclusions. Facts that would tend to contradict his foregone conclusions bounce right off his granite head.

  67. 83

    Go Woman of falsehood

    !

A definite first place in the troll sweepstakes.

We need to clarify the criteria for judging:

    1. Failure to present a logical argument
    2. Failure to think beyond the simplistic (classic troll examples: the stock market is down, so Obama is bad or it is cold, so global warming is a hoax)
    3. Persistent and constant racism
    4. Failure to understand criticism
    5. Oblivious to how stupid they appear to be (sorry, this category will include most trolls)
    6. Quoting directly from Limbaugh, Redstate or Sound politics without any idea of the meaning.
    7. Failure to even examine their own sources and misinterpretation of the source
    8. Repeating the same false canards

any other criteria for the awards? And then can we vote each week? goldy?

“Since we now know the Obama “plumbers” group was busy since October 2008 against a private citizen, shows just how unstable these peeps are.”

Hogwash. The mocking of the Republican party by taring them with Rush was precipitated by a hilariously outlandish set of statements from and interactions among Limbaugh, Steele, Gingrey, Joe the Plumber, Newt Gingrich, David Vitter, Michele Malkin, Tom Delay, Rick Santorum and other WIngnuts in 2009. It has been a parade of comedy acts out of the G.O.P. over the last month.

Your inference that, by simply taking an opinion poll some five (count ‘em, 5!) months ago that included a question on fat-boy, means there is some grand conspiracy is silly (to put it kindly).

  69. 85

Puddybud, Hey it's the new year... spews:

K – First, Puddy asked you the following IPCC question. What about the growing large number of scientists who disagree with the IPCC? When you grow the brass cojones, Puddy will gladly answer the carbonate in the ocean question.

  70. 86

Puddybud, Hey it's the new year... spews:

Darryl, hogwash? I trust the Politico article was more than anything from a kook-aid site.

Give me a list, pud-coward and their affiliations. And then give me your qualifications to determine which sources are reliable.

I do not jump at your direction. Furthermore, I am qualified to discuss chemical equilibria. I admit I’d need to pull down a few old texts, but I can run the equations. In fact, I consider chemistry to be one of God’s sciences.

  72. 88

Hahaha, Puddy is going back to the discredited “scientists” who signed a petition – except the real climate scientists said they did not sign it and the rest are not climate scientists. So Puddy is left defending – pseudoscience.

Thanks for the entertainment pUddy – you are showing your ignorance once again. For someone who is supposedly so SMART, you sure make stupid arguments. Please argue for a flat earth now….that will also be believable.

And K – ask Puddy again to explain the bicarbonate/carbonic acid buffer system ….. I want to see this.

  75. 93

    spews:

    Puddy @ 86,

Yep…your conspiracy theory is hogwash. The Politico article doesn’t say what you appear to believe it says.

There is obviously a leadership vacuum in the G.O.P. right now—it’s been frequently discussed in the MSM and blogs since the election. Rush’s buffoonery and the aforementioned’s reactions to it set up Rush as the Butt of the G.O.P. joke. No conspiracy is needed…it was an obvious place to go.

  76. 94

Puddybud, Hey it's the new year... spews:

Good old Not Right…brings out the discredited post against the December 2008 posting…

“Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical.” – Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology and formerly of NASA who has authored more than 190 studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”

Warming fears are the “worst scientific scandal in the history…When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists.” – UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist.

“The IPCC has actually become a closed circuit; it doesn’t listen to others. It doesn’t have open minds… I am really amazed that the Nobel Peace Prize has been given on scientifically incorrect conclusions by people who are not geologists,” – Indian geologist Dr. Arun D. Ahluwalia at Punjab University and a board member of the UN-supported International Year of the Planet.

“Even doubling or tripling the amount of carbon dioxide will virtually have little impact, as water vapour and water condensed on particles as clouds dominate the worldwide scene and always will.” – . Geoffrey G. Duffy, a professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering of the University of Auckland, NZ.

“For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming? For how many years must cooling go on?” – Geologist Dr. David Gee the chairman of the science committee of the 2008 International Geological Congress who has authored 130 plus peer reviewed papers, and is currently at Uppsala University in Sweden.

“Creating an ideology pegged to carbon dioxide is a dangerous nonsense…The present alarm on climate change is an instrument of social control, a pretext for major businesses and political battle. It became an ideology, which is concerning.” – Environmental Scientist Professor Delgado Domingos of Portugal, the founder of the Numerical Weather Forecast group, has more than 150 published articles.

“CO2 emissions make absolutely no difference one way or another….Every scientist knows this, but it doesn’t pay to say so…Global warming, as a political vehicle, keeps Europeans in the driver’s seat and developing nations walking barefoot.” – Dr. Takeda Kunihiko, vice-chancellor of the Institute of Science and Technology Research at Chubu University in Japan.

“The [global warming] scaremongering has its justification in the fact that it is something that generates funds.” – Award-winning Paleontologist Dr. Eduardo Tonni, of the Committee for Scientific Research in Buenos Aires and head of the Paleontology Department at the University of La Plata.

Or climate skeptics like Virginia State Climatologist Dr. Patrick Michaels, Alabama State Climatologist Dr. John Christy, New Zealand climate researcher Dr. Vincent Gray, former head of the Geological Museum at the University of Oslo, Tom V. Segalstad, and MIT’s Dr. Richard Lindzen.

But NotRight seems to forget who wrote the IPCC report: “Diplomats from 115 countries and 52 scientists hashed out the most comprehensive and gloomiest warning yet about the possible effects of global warming, from increased flooding, hunger, drought and diseases to the extinction of species.”

I posted the link last December.

Oh you mean things that Rush has said like these:

LIMBAUGH: There are two reasons. What color is the skin of the people in Darfur?

    CALLER: Uh, yeah.

LIMBAUGH: It’s black. And who do the Democrats really need to keep voting for them? If they lose a significant percentage of this voting bloc, they’re in trouble.

CALLER: Yes. Yes. The black population.

LIMBAUGH: Right. So you go into Darfur and you go into South Africa, you get rid of the white government there. You put sanctions on them. You stand behind Nelson Mandela — who was bankrolled by communists for a time, had the support of certain communist leaders. You go to Ethiopia. You do the same thing.

Of course, Rush never explained why we could not go into New Orleans to rescue black folks….

    or this:

Rush earlier in his career also told an African-American caller to “take that bone out of your nose.” Let alone his nonsensical comments about how people in the media rooted for Donovan McNabb because he’s black and rooted against Rex Grossman because he is white.

I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.

You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed.

Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?

They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?

This is the man that Puddy supports. There are more of these quotes out there – but this is the “leader” of the republican party. An uneducated racist blowhard.

Ah, yes. Don Joe nails Puddy’s ass to the wall, and Puddy changes the subject–to yet another post hoc fallacy at that.

Puddy still can’t argue his way out of a wet paper sack.

  101. 122

    The Truth spews:

Hearing Rush since 1989 He isn’t a racist. He has made jokes about the feminine Nazi which was hilarious. When it came to obama he’s not black enough was stated by blacks not Rush. Any how someone here said he had evidence. Let’s see it.

  102. 123

    Don Joe spews:

    @ 98

You see what Dick Durbin is doing and say nuthin.

Puddy posted a link to this opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal, and, it appears, this is the basis for Puddy claiming that Dick Durbin is racist.

Now, Don Joe has searched high and wide for any reference to an actual amendment penned by Dick Durbin, so it’s not at all clear what these people are talking about. Also, the opinion piece refers to “Durbin language,” yet a web search for the phrase “Durbin language” turns up a variety of references that have nothing to do with the Sidwell Friends School.

So, how much stock should we put into an opinion piece that appears on the pages of the Wall Street Journal? Given past experience, not much. How many people here recall Don Joe’s test of critical thinking? It involved yet another opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal that wasn’t all too careful with the facts.

So, I think Puddy needs to find something a bit more corroborative before he can compare Dick Durbin to some of the right-wing, racist hacks who deign grace us with their presence here.

  103. 124

The prize is the inaugural Troll of the Week Award. CNR has proposed criteria at 83 above, but we can all come up with our own. Blind partisanship, racism, the inability to lace two sentences together, incoherence, citing sources to support an argument that have nothing to do with the argument (Puddy’s particular specialty), refusal to condemn anyone on the same side no matter how ridiculous the position, failure to recognize that the GOP got its ass kicked in November, quantity of nonsense–these are all criteria that I would count as coming into play. Also, simply never adding anything of value to discourse, not even amusement value (Marvie’s specialty). You can see how boisterous the competition among our trolls is. We want them to feel loved, so an award seems to be in order.

  105. 127

    YLB spews:

123 – Wow. Superb criteria. You’ve really thought it out.

It’s tough competition here for sure. Each troll sports a unique delusional system.

But for me hands down hardly anyone comes close to Stupes for sheer volumes of vacuous, impenetrable, waves of intellectual bankruptcy and delusional, hallucinatory, right wing psychosis.

Should still be a lively competition.

No – you go after the site I used to get the actual quotes – here is a clue Puddy – I used multiple sites. Ooops. You are wrong AGAIN.

How does it feel to be a hypocrite and stupid?

And your sorry arguments against the IPCC – yeah right, the largest international scientific organization looking at climate change (in fact the ONLY international organization that does this) concludes that global warming is real and that it is anthropomorphic. Yet Puddy (non-scientist) thinks quoting a few industry paid scientists negates the cumulative findings of the IPCC.

hahaha – your ignorance is massive.

Once again, you show that you know nothing and cannot form a logical argument. Thanks for demonstrating how you slavishly follow the right wing talking points and cannot think for yourself.

When you look back at your putrid posts on this site – you should be filled with regret for the hate you have spewed and the false rumors you have repeated. In the bible it says that people who spread false rumors are committing a greater sin – well, you are a premier sinner.

Live with it and live with all your lies – also a sin. Also, it says to turn the other cheek and to look out for the poor. You have neglected all of those – have fun in hell.

    Deconstructing an idiots argument:

Let me go through, one by one, to show how the “scientists” Puddy cites either don’t say what he thinks or are in the pocket of the energy industry or or discredited:

    1. From Puddy:

Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology and formerly of NASA who has authored more than 190 studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”

    :

Yes, she is skeptical – she is a scientist. But later in the same interview she says:

What should we as a nation do? Decisions have to be made on incomplete information. In this case, we must act on the recommendations of Gore and the IPCC because if we do not reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and the climate models are right, the planet as we know it will in this century become unsustainable.

Hmm, the first person that P{uddy quotes says that maybe everything is not known – but the IPCC and Gore are right and that we need to act.

It is already looking bad for you Puddy. You did not even read the whole article and cherry-picked a single quote.

Sloppy, poor logic and you drew the wrong conclusions. oooops!

    2.

UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist

    .

His interest in the global warming issue started when he had a lecture on environmental meteorology in 1995 or so.

    1. This is from his biography at his University – he was not even trained in meteorology.

    2. He is not an IPCC scientist – that is simply a LIE. This is the closest he has come:

I also took a patent on sunspot number anticipation, and did some contribution to the IPCC AR4 as an expert reviewer

    Next.

Hey, next time you post from the ireport, you might want to note that the stories are not fact checked. I have already debunkjed the first two “facts” – I don’t have time for the rest. But again, you need to actually think critically and not just copy crap on the web that is false.

I see Don Joe is having his butt kicked up and down HA by Jane once more for his economic claptrap. There hasn’t exactly been a lot of demand expressed for his really deep analysis:

    * 2004 deficit due to Bush tax cuts = 59% x $350 billion (1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)(8)

    Footnotes:

    (1) $350 should be $340 (thanks to an alert reader for pointing that out!)
    (2) $340 was for tax year 2008 (thanks to an alert reader for pointing that out!)
    (3) I haven’t been able to find the CBO source for the 59% or $340 billion (thanks to an alert reader for informing me that that’s part of the “analysis”!)
    (4) The CBO document I was eventually able to produce doesn’t support my claim (thanks to an alert reader for pointing that out!)
    (5) I never said I referenced a CBO source (thanks to an alert reader for pointing out that I was mistaken!)
    (6) Numbers don’t really matter because the three, no four, no five, no six documents I checked don’t agree anyway
    (7) You can’t disprove my “analysis” (because I’ve done everything humanly possible to cover my convoluted blather with even more convoluted blather!)
    (8) I have no idea what I’m talking about (but I can’t admit that because my bruised ego is too big to fail!)

Yes NotRight, 115 diplomats (these the vaulted scientists NotRight refers to) helped create the IPCC report. If Notright actually read the report only four UN scientists in the IPCC peer-review process explicitly endorsed the key chapter blaming mankind for warming the past 50 years.

Yet you can see the graphs here…

Wait a minute… it’s on msnbc so it has to be correct.

“Earth’s climate continues to confound scientists. Following a 30-year trend of warming, global temperatures have flatlined since 2001 despite rising greenhouse gas concentrations, and a heat surplus that should have cranked up the planetary thermostat.

“This is nothing like anything we’ve seen since 1950,” Kyle Swanson of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee said. “Cooling events since then had firm causes, like eruptions or large-magnitude La Ninas. This current cooling doesn’t have one.””

You mean after James Hanson was caught fudging the data?

Ahhh, good one Puddy. You are changing the topic….extra points! You don’t admit that you put out false data. that the first two pieces of evidence you “cited” from a non-fact checked website were totally and completely FALSE!

Instead, here you go with more less than credible “evidence”.

How embarassing. Check your sources, Puddy. You have been totally EXPOSED.

  125. 147

    Don Joe spews:

    @ 134

If the best you can do is to repeat your already rebutted random regurgitations, then why do you even bother?

Let’s recount the points that you folks haven’t contested, shall we?

    1) The Bush tax cuts overwhelmingly favored the rich.

    2) The rich generally have a much higher marginal propensity to save than do the poor or middle income subsets of the population.

    3) Rational expectations says that the marginal propensity to save of higher income groups during the years following September 11, 2001 would be even higher than the norm.

    4) The rich overwhelmingly save via institutional investors. The exception would be the higher 1%-2% of the very rich who would save via hedge funds.

    5) Institutional investors and hedge funds accounted for a large portion of the demand for mortgage-backed securities.

No one has contested any of those statements. The only open question is the extent of the influence that the savings of the rich had on the overall demand for mortgage-backed securities, and, in this, the best that any of my critics has ever been able to say is that I made some errors in estimates that I attributed to the CBO. (It’s worth noting that my critics haven’t even bothered to recognize the distinction between a “citation” and an “attribution”.)

None of them have even bothered to quantify the extent of my error, let alone try to show that my error was any larger or more significant than the normal amount of error that is inherent in any estimate of this nature.

This, then, is the basis that my critics use in discussion of the Don Joe test of critical thinking. In short, my critics fail even a rudimentary test of critical thinking, preferring to throw worthless smoke bombs rather than deal with the true crux of my argument.

What a bunch of ridiculous, intellectual light-weights.

  126. 148

    Don Joe spews:

    @ 137

Don Joe runs from his eviscerations.

Again, Puddy lies about Don Joe. Don Joe hasn’t run from any of these supposed “eviscerations”. Don Joe has taken them on in full frontal assault, until, now, these “eviscerations” have been reduced to merely repeating what’s already been said and rebutted.

But, Puddy doesn’t want to face this fact. Puddy prefers to live in a fantasy world of his own making.

Will Puddy make any attempt to address the points I’ve raised in my comment at 144? I doubt it. Even if Puddy does try to address those points, Puddy will fall flat on his face. Talk about “Epic Failure”…

    NotRight,

Why do 48% of the 539 total papers on climate change have no position?

Why do only 7% (32) of the papers propose an explicit consensus position?

Why do 6% (32) reject the consensus position?

Why did Al Gore have to yank a slide out of his deck because his use of it was wrong and he was caught?

How come only 62 of 308 (20%) IPCC reviewers commented on the CO2 greenhouse gas causing global warming chapter and only 4 explicitly endorsing this chapter?

Why did Dr. Madhav L. Khandekar, retired UN Environment Canada scientist call it a flawed process?

Don Joe glad you posted comment #147. So I posted #148.

ASS was skewered, wiped up the floor and used to buff it too.

  132. 154

Then you claim they weren’t scientists. WRONG

Then you claim okay she’s a skeptic. RIGHT. “As a scientist I [Dr. Joanne Simpson] remain skeptical.” 190 studies and called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”

So all Puddy did was blow your comment

Puddy is going back to the discredited “scientists”

All Puddy had to do was provide one person who is accepted in their field and is a skeptic.

This is the same criteria you all used on my richest cities being Democratic argument. See how Puddy reverses the tables

But Puddy went farther and provided more scientists. Peer reviewed and accepted in their field. That fact was lost on Don Joe, being the moronic economist he claims to be.

A Mistake? It was an endless LITANY of blather and nonsense that any college freshman would have been drummed out of a class for. And neverevercorrect just lapped up every mistake, if you want a clue into his qualifications. The dumb leading the dumber . . .

  137. 159

    correctnotright spews:

Umm, not quite Puddy. You refuted NOTHING.

You originally cited a bunch of scientists that supposedly think global warming is a hoax.

I showed the first quote was out of context and that the scientist in question actually favors action on global warming (all scientists are skeptics, Puddy – so what?).

The second quote claimed that the scientist was on the IPCC – that was false. Also, the guy is not even an atmospheric scientist.

Wrong on the first two pieces of supposed evidence – you should be embarassed. But no you keep posting more crap. The greater the volume of crap you post doesn’t make it right or anything but more crap.

so – the first two quotes were debunked.

You lose – again. You are wrong -again. That you refuse to admit you are wrong again – typical.

Keep whining – but you have NO credibility. You can’t even figure out when you have been shown to be a complete and utter fool. You are in over your head and are using sources that do not check their facts.

Thanks for proving what a loser you are. However, all is not lost. You are moving to the top of the troll competition.

  138. 160

    correctnotright spews:

    @155

cjs – And what were your suppositions in the first place – I can’t remember anything you said that was somehow relevant to the questions. Are you somehow supporting the discredited Bush economic “plan”? Do you hav any data to back up anything – or are you just harping on something from long ago? It makes you look like a small petty person with little to add intellectually.

You are so busy celebrating your one small victory in a tiny skirmish long ago, you have lost the war.

All I see is you posting the same drivel over and over. Where is YOUR cogent analysis? Where do you have anything useful to say?

I have caught Puddy citing false information, making incorrect arguments and drawing false conclusions – third grade stuff. He is trying to change the topic, weasel out of it and posting like crazy – but the bottom line is he posted lies that were unverified and tried to pass them off as facts.

  140. 162

Puddybud, Hey it's the new year... spews:

NotRight, you are so full of crap. You didn’t show diddly and you know it. I proved you wrong with your first assertion discredited scientists. That’s your initial premise fool!

Now you are into the face saving “i gots to change the game cuz he’s disproving me wrong again” act you enter when caught sucking the schwanz! I post your words above and now you didn’t say them?

clueless village idiot does better than that!

Then you claim okay she’s a skeptic. RIGHT. “As a scientist I [Dr. Joanne Simpson] remain skeptical.” 190 studies and called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”

So all Puddy did was blow your apart your worthless comment
