Emily Heffter has the scoop in the Seattle Times:
City Councilmember Tim Burgess has appeared to be positioning himself to run against McGinn in 2012.
Which of course would totally catch Mayor Mike McGinn by surprise, considering the election isn’t until 2013.
Emily reads HA. She has now fixed the date with credit to Goldy!
Well, considering the length of political campaigns these days, it may or may not be a mistake.
Goldy deserves a sucker!
You know, I could’ve taken the time to write a real post, or could’ve spewed out this cheap quickie and enjoyed a nice, long walk down to the lake with daughter and dog on this beautiful day.
I chose the latter.
Haha…
Spewed, cheap, and quickie, all used in the same sentence and it wasn’t dirty.
Good one Goldy!
I laughed
Perhaps if Blethen got yet another tax break he’d hire some copy editors?
@7 Yeah, that’s right, you can’t get business people to invest in America or Americans anymore unless taxpayers pay them to do it. I remember reading a news story about a Michigan manufacturer who wanted the state to pick up his employees’ wages; and when the state refused he closed his plant and moved production to Mexico. Businessmen are disloyal asswipes, the whole lot of them. But the joke will be on them, because after they’ve fired all their American employees, there won’t be any American consumers left to buy their products.
