you havent ruined our schools enough? now you want the kids learning while they’re stoned?
Lee spews:
@1
you havent ruined our schools enough?
So you’re blaming me for why you came out of school an uneducated moron?
now you want the kids learning while they’re stoned?
No, I want kids who are at risk of messing up their lives to stay in school.
And I want the state legislature and the Governor to get their heads out of their asses and move marijuana sales from the school playground to the liquor stores (or anywhere else where people check IDs).
Empty Suit Obama spews:
Only a fucking retard, or Lee, would advocate that the schools should be ‘freebase’ zones for minors in public schools to achieve an education. Last time I marked my ballot on a school levy (which was no by the way) was tuesday because the dumb fucks they assign the label of “teachers” already can’t do the job they’re assigned to…yet Lee wants more stoners to attend class. Seriously Lee, you’re fucking retarded, but most of us know that before commenting on your inane threads.
I don’t know when your brain and your ass were fused together, Lee, but I can sure as hell determine where your marijuana jihad took the bat shit trail to fucking bizarre.

What is it with NYC police and anally raping people? I blame Giuliani, cross dresser and all.
proud leftist spews:
Little Ricky,
It hardly surprises me that you are anti-education. Hell, after all, you didn’t get an education, so why should anyone else get one?
Empty Suit Obama spews:
@5 You’re as retarded as Lee. Stoners don’t advance the educational atmosphere, but hinder it by being the focal point. Kicking dumbass stoners out of class for interrupting the learning of other students is a noble thing. Don’t be a dumbfuck, Plowed leftist, though that is a natural state of being for someone of so little intellect to be.
proud leftist spews:
I love you, too, Little Ricky.

Don’t be a dumbfuck, Plowed leftist
you’re missing the point. he’s not dumb, he knows exactly what he’s doing. keep the goyim and blacks in perpetual ignorance and then reap the worldly rewards.

manoftruth @ 8,
Ah, gee, man, thanks for giving me so much credit for planning ahead.
Roger Rabbit spews:
Does this mean they can’t enlist in the Army and go to Afghanistan?
Roger Rabbit spews:
@1 Obviously you’ve never heard of Peter C. Lemon. Mr. Lemon was a grunt in Vietnam. He later said that day was the only time he went into combat while stoned. His actions that day earned him the Congressional Medal of Honor. He held off an entire NVA attack while his buddies withdrew. A little pot can clear your mind and help you focus.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@6 You’re not a stoner? You sure fooled me! I’ve thought all along you were a stoner. All your comments read like you’re stoned when you write them.
manoftruth spews:
ask yourself this question…how come the local news media, that loves to stick cameras in the crying faces of mothers whose son has just been shot dead, never taken those cameras inside inner city schools.

Speaking for myself, if I am blessed with kids, the public schools will never have a chance to ruin them. I will never send them to a place where they are never my kids.(Many Public schools now say when your kids are at school they are not your kids.) My children will be either homeschooled or sent to co-op homeschool.
nemo spews:
While I was a student in public school many decades ago, I had always wondered why the curriculum seemed to be geared more towards instilling a near-robot-like awe and fear of authority rather than actual education…which entails ultimately challenging that authority’s validity through rationality.
And then I read something about who the progenitors of ‘modern’ American public education were. And what their publicly stated motives were. And then it became quite clear that the intent of public education wasn’t education at all. As one of those progenitors wrote in Occasional Letter Number One
“In our dreams, we have limitless resources and the people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding bands. The present education conventions fade from their minds, and unhampered by tradition, we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive rural folk. We shall not try to make these people or any of their children into philosophers or men of learning, or men of science. We have not to raise up from among them authors, editors, poets or men of letters. We shall not search for embryo great artists, painters, musicians nor lawyers, doctors, preachers, politicians, statesmen, of whom we have an ample supply.
The task we set before ourselves is very simple as well as a very beautiful one, to train these people as we find them to a perfectly ideal life just where they are. So we will organize our children and teach them to do in a perfect way the things their fathers and mothers are doing in an imperfect way, in the homes, in the shops and on the farm.”
Pot in schools isn’t the problem. The schools, themselves are the problem. Namely, what’s taught in them…and why.

@14
Huh?
Troutski spews:
Gotta say some of the law & order types here don’t have a fucking clue what they are talking about.
Follow the money. Kids busted in school are usually given a choice of a 60 suspension or a 10 day suspension with a $1000+ drug assessment.
Combine this with how most of these kids are busted – an alert by a drug dog. The district will hold the kid responsible even if no drugs are found, if the dog alerts. The claim is that the kid must have been around someone doing drugs or the alert would not have happened.
Now throw in the 70% false alert statistic when dogs are used in a school setting. Read again. 70% false alerts.
There you go – makes money for the assessment people, employs cops who are toxic and can’t be used on the street, and lets administrators appear to be doing something about drugs.
And ask the district for statistics, The district won’t release any real bust stats. Just general stats. That should tell you right there this is bullshit.
It is Kabuki theater and a money maker.
Troutski spews:
I think @14 means “in loco parentis”
But from reading her comment, I think she does not understand the legal concept.

Of course we ruin our kid’s futures. We do that because we love them. Who better to ruin their futures, some stranger? No, it is all part of God’s plan for us.
Mathew "RennDawg" Renner spews:
@16 Emily. What that means when schools say “When your children are in school there not your children” means that parents cannot have a say in there childrens education decisions if the schools does not want them to.
Example: This took place in Indiana. A local church Pastor sent his kids to public school. His oldest was assigned to read a book that contains profanity, violence and sexuality immorality. The Pastor went to the teacher and ask if the could find a different book at the same level without the objectional material. He was not trying to ban the book. He just felt that as a parent he should take a hand in his childrens education. Well the teacher agreed. They set up a meeting to discusses it further. When the meeting came he met with the teacher and principal. The principal said that his son will read the book assigned and he had no say in this. The Pastor said that he could not allow his son to read it. He said that this was his son and he had a right to have a say. The principal then said “When your children attebd this school there not your children.” The Pastor’s responce was “Then my children no longer attend your school.” He pulled them out right then and there. He started a private school that was an extention of his church’s ministry. That i what I mean. I believe parents have the right to veto teachers for there kids only.
