– I wasn’t familiar with Rena Priest before she was made Poet Laureate of Washington. But reading some of her work, it seems like a good decision.

May 1 is the day everyone over 16 is going to be eligible for the COVID-19 shot in Washington. We’ve known this day would come for a while, but it’s nice to see the beginning of the end in sight. The Washington State eviction moratorium has been extended again. This time through the end of June.
Given the rate of vaccination, I would guess that it will be the last extension. I hope that the state and Federal relief packages will mean it’s a relatively soft landing when the moratorium expires.
