- The map for the 7 proposed Seattle districts does a better job of keeping the downtown area in one district than the state or county districts.

- I have not finished reading the Living Under Drones report, but so far, it’s pretty awful.

- There will still be blown calls, but the NFL refs will be back, and will be significantly better than the old ones.

- The 36th is an interesting race.

- People in swing states don’t like bad policy either.

- Those forest fires fucked up the air.

The fallout from the 9/11 terrorist attack (Hillary said so, finally) by Al Queda on the Libyan Benghazi site is just getting started.

WaPo points out that the moves Team Obama is making have political undertones:

“For political reasons, it certainly was in the White House’s interests to not portray the attack as a terrorist incident, especially one that took place on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. Instead the administration kept the focus on what was ultimately a red herring — anger in the Arab world over anti-Muslim video posted on You Tube. With key phrases and message discipline, the administration was able to conflate an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Egypt — which apparently was prompted by the video — with the deadly assault in Benghazi.
Officials were also able to dismiss pointed questions by referring to an ongoing investigation.”

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/from-video-to-terrorist-attack-a-definitive-timeline-of-administration-statements-on-the-libya-attack/2012/09/26/86105782-0826-11e2-afff-d6c7f20a83bf_blog.html

There might be some pretty tough questions about leaving our people unprotected on 9/11. Even the State Department on its own website posted a memo about ‘Terrorism and Important Dates’, and specifically referenced 9/11 in this post.

So that would look pretty bad, right, if the State Department wasn’t prepared on 9/11 despite posting that it was an ‘important date’?

Team Obama obviously thinks so. They removed that post from their website:

Bombshell: Obama Administration Deleted State Dept. Memo From Internet After Discovering Al-Qaeda Was Behind Benghazi Attack

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/09/bombshell-obama-administration-deleted-state-dept-memo-from-internet-after-discovering-al-qaeda-was-behind-benghazi-attack/

How obvious an admission of fault is this? Imagine the HA outcry if the GWB43 administration had done it.

Lib Despair continues to maintain that we should all just wait for the official report. Problem with that is that it’s been two weeks and the FBI is still in Tripoli. Apparently they haven’t been allowed into Benghazi yet, according to CNN.

So I’ll just have to point out what we do know.

2. Serial Conservative spews:

2011 Q4 GDP increase: 3.1%
2012 Q1 GDP increase: 2.0%
2012 Q2 GDP increase: 1.3%

Two more months of unemployment data and at least one Q3 GDP estimate before the election.

It’s the economy that’s in freefall, not Romney.

3. Serial Conservative spews:

How bad is the economy tanking? Because of some revisions to earlier figures, monthly new job creation in the past five months is less than half of what it was in the previous year.

In a press release, the department said it would likely raise total employment by about 386,000 or 0.3% in the year from April 2011 to March 2012.

This is a bit over an average of 32,000 additional jobs per month, which would bring the average monthly job growth during that span up to 194,000 from 162,000

By contrast, the economy has added an average of just 94,000 jobs in each of the five months since March.

We had 3.1% GDP increase in 2011 Q4. This slowdown can’t be blamed on Bush.

As kos points out here, the reason the “47%” tape is SO DEVASTATING is because it fits in a narrative that already exists in peoples’ minds – that Rmoney is a ruthless, greedy dick.

It’s been an easy narrative to work with, given that Mitt Romney is genuinely a dick. From the way he treated his lessers at prep school to his tenure at Bain, from the way he demeaned NASCAR fans to the insufferable entitlement of his wife—all of that has allowed us to paint a picture of Romney that has left him the most unpopular GOP nominee in modern polling history, and the first to have higher unfavorable than favorable ratings.

This ad, from Obama, is nothing more than Rmoney’s words, and pictures of people who fit the Republicans’ favorite term, “Real Americans” (though I don’t think that means what they think it means)

Watch for yourself, it’s devastating.

Shall we all start reading Kubler-Ross so we can deal with Cap’n Crunch’s emotions over the next few weeks?

Gawd, you’re pathetic. It’s now like watching a slow-motion train wreck.

Your candidate is getting his ass handed to him. I’m sure that Galtian shits like you littering blogs with smarmy comments is one reason why that’s so.

6. czechsaaz spews:

And in poll after poll voters trust Obama and Democrats on the economy over Romney. At some point you have to grasp that trickle down is exposed as a fraud and the voters have caught on. Blocking bills to out veterans to work, blocking any jobs legislation really, has taken its toll.

its about the economy. Its about the party that crashed it and then tried to lit a club on the steering wheel just to win the White House. They’re on to you.

7. Liberal Scientist is a Dirty Fucking Socialist Hippie spews:

@2,3

I absolutely agree with Cap’n Crunch that the economy sucks.

However, fact #1, it is vastly better than it was 4 years ago.

And fact #2, people believe Democratic policies will continue to make things better; corollary of course that doctrinaire Republican policies were responsible for the economic catastrophe that occurred under Bush II (I actually wrote a typo “Bust II” that would have been accurate as well)

In the midst of a catastrophic evaporation of demand, what is needed is massive government borrowing at effective negative interest rates (ie we profit merely by holding the world’s money) and SPENDING on infrastructure and capital investments – power grids, wind and solar, trains, schools, libraries, teachers, fire and police, municipal governments – we all get really cool stuff that will pay for itself multiple times over decades, AND we put people to work right now.

Now, it’s clearly questionable that we will get this under a second Obama administration, particularly if the House stays in the crazygreedy peoples’ hands, but there’s NO CHANCE that anything like that will happen under Rmoney.

People know that Rmoney is out to fuck them over.

8. Serial Conservative spews:

@ 5

This time last week, Doctor Steve, you were insisting I denounce a video I had not seen, which had nothing to do with the 9/11 Al Queda terrorist attack on Benghazi that killed four Americans.

Perhaps if State Department would stop deleting evidence and start honestly answering questions the smarmy comments would be less frequent.

We’re way past impeachment now … this is looking far more like treason, and it’s about time someone had the guts to say it. There are HOURS of video of Obama expressing pro-Muslim sentiments and voicing his anti-capitalist, anti-American ideologies. Between that video, and his actions, it is becoming IMPOSSIBLE to believe that Obama is anything but an enemy sympathizer. We are at WAR, whether people want to accept that fact or not, and aiding and abetting the enemy is TREASON.

@ 7

people believe Democratic policies will continue to make things better

Some people do, yes. If this is that question 34 in the poll discussed on anther thread yesterday, it’s less than a ringing endorsement, for reasons discussed.

Yes, things were better than they were four years ago. But Obama didn’t pass TARP, Obama didn’t provide AIG, C, BAC large amounts of assistance (more than was needed, it’s turning out according to some reports), and he was the beneficiary of a quick response to an initial over-reaction.

Shorten your period of concentration – after all, in 2011 Q 4 we were in a decent recovery – and the justification for re-election is far less substantial.

Finally, I think it’s important to point out what no one around here ever mentions when they talk about how cheap it is to borrow large amounts of money at prevailing interest rates:

WE HAVE TO PAY THE FUCKING MONEY BACK.

All you are doing by advocating for more idiotic borrowing is burdening your children, Lib Sci.

Think about that. You’re stiffing your own children with the bill.

To your ‘point’…

“idiotic borrowing” is borrowing a Trillion dollars to invade Iraq. “idiotic borrowing” is borrowing to have massive tax cuts benefiting the rich. “idiotic borrowing” is running a deficit as a consequence of supply side economics.

Sensible borrowing is borrowing to either/both provide demand as a buyer-of-last-resort, or for capital investments that will pay back multiples of the initial investment. That the borrowing costs are essentially negative is just icing on the cake.

29. Serial Conservative spews:

The bottom end of the housing market is recovering, in part because it’s oversold and people with cash who don’t want to invest in a 2-3% CD are buying small houses and renting them out for a 4-5% return in the form of rent and a likely 2-3% increase in valuation according to historic norms of home appreciation, in addition to the depreciation deduction they take.

That’s not a housing recovery. That’s opportunism.

Just about everything around me that’s a house under $200K is under contract.

Seattle is not the US. Looking around and seeing yard signs supporting Obama doesn’t mean he’s going to have a landslide victory.

Yes, there is some housing recovery. We’re nearing the end of the foreclosure crisis, unforeclosed inventory is thinning, and the easy money on oversold starter homes has been made. The rest now cost more.

That’s not an indication of an economic recovery, just an indication that people with cash did what they needed to do when their CD rates had plummeted and bond interest rates and pricing susceptibility to inflation are scary.

Nice try.

30. Roger Rabbit spews:

@26 “Assume for the sake of argument that GWB43 used poor judgement and borrowed a lot of money for dubious use.”

That’s not an assumption, it’s a fact.

“Assume we have learned from that experience.”

There’s no evidence Republicans ever learn anything from experience. The rest of us knew better all along.

“Why would you support Obama’s efforts to do the same thing?”

There are many layers to the answer …

1) We support Obama, but not necessarily everything he does.

2) He’s better than any alternative we’ve been offered.

3) The premise of your question, that Obama is doing the same thing as Bush43, is incorrect.

4) In rough outline, Obama’s economic policies are similar to what FDR did to pull the U.S. out of the Great Depression, which more or less worked. The austerity approach favored by Republicans from Hoover to Romney has been shown to make things worse, so why would anyone do that?

5) To the extent Obama’s economic policies have fallen short of what might have been achieved, that is largely due to Republican obstructionists in Congress, so why blame that on Obama? We should blame that on the Republican obstructionists. And how much sense does it make to try to solve the problem of Republican obstructionism by voting for Republicans?

“Pointing to a guy you despise and saying ‘Bush did it, too.’ isn’t a defense of Obama. It’s an indictment ….”

Bush was despicable on many levels, such as his warmongering, authorizing torture and kidnapping and lying about it, borrowing from China to give unproductive tax breaks to billionaires, supporting job outsourcing and tax breaks for financial sharks who dismantled healthy companies, etc. But I will defend Bush on his bank bailouts, which conservatives and tea partiers hated, because those bailouts saved us from another Great Depression.

oh dear, it seems you aren’t following the logic. You are making the claim that Tarp (stimulus) worked. I agree. Obama’s stimulous also worked. One stopped complete financial collapse as an emergency measure the other stopped the bleeding and started a slow roll in the other direction. An even bigger stimulous would have been better. (You can google for economists, professional economists not radio hosts who pretend to be economists, including a nobel winner who agree with that assessment.)

You, like so many, are trying to claim that government spending to aid the economy under Bush was appropriate. But then one day in January, government spending to aid the economy is evil, the height of folly, Obamunism, enslaving or grandchildren….

All the while pretending that the portion of the current deficit attributable to TARP and the Bush tax cuts are Obama’s doing.

37. Serial Conservative spews:

I think TARP worked. Once everyone is done doing their retrospectives it probably will turn out to be overkill. But clearly AIG needed support – the mark-to-market thing was killing them, as their assets were performing but just valued so low that their capital levels dropped dangerously.

I think ARRA created or saved some jobs. I think the manipulation of what jobs were put in those ‘saved’ categories is such that we’ll never agree on whether it was worth it. Hard to give credit to a program when the goal of capping unemployment of 8% was so divorced from the reality.

The money was spent unwisely and not swiftly. The market bottomed out and recovered before anything was disbursed and entered the economy. The trough was March 9th. Significant money didn’t hit the economy until a few months later. That’s not cause and effect in my book.

Have a good day, all.

I don’t think Elizabeth Warren would fall within that, such that she would have to register here.”

51. Puddybud spews:

It was inappropriate for Fredrickson to make these comments without knowing the facts; perhaps he is a Democrat and went overboard to try to help his party’s candidate.

This is a killer paragraph Lib da dunce… so much for that debunking…

This section is one that frequently applies to my own law practice. I provide legal services in jurisdictions where I am not admitted to practice all the time, under the pro hac vice rules of the local state and federal courts. Under those rules, I can apply to practice in the courts of other states, including Massachusetts, as long as I am licensed and in good standing in Minnesota, and agree to abide by the ethics rules of those states. But you can’t practice under pro hac rules in the state where you reside, and no one claims that this exception applies to Elizabeth Warren’s practice in Massachusetts. So the question is, what “federal law or other law of this jurisdiction” would allow Warren to practice law in Massachusetts, even though she doesn’t have a Massachusetts law license? Neither she nor her supporters have suggested any such law that might apply.

“Wouldn’t kill you guys to read what the other side is saying now and then.”

Horseshit. We do. And when we quote the likes of Peggy Noonan calling Romney a “disaster”, you go into deep fucking denial and attribute those remarks to anybody but a goddamned Republican. Good Lord, you are truly one fucked up person, Bob.

You’re candidate is a fucking “disaster”, Bob. So the fuck are you.

56. Roger Rabbit spews:

@51 The simple answer to that one is it’s for the courts where she practices to decide; and if they don’t have a problem with it, neither should you.

57. Roger Rabbit spews:

@53 “You’re either a liar or indescribably stupid. Actually, you’re both”

The same rule that governs forward-looking statements about the economy applies here: The mere act of saying something doesn’t make it true and the actual results may vary from the predicted results.

“Republicans may soon lose a key talking point. According to data released Thursday, President Obama may now be a net job creator. All that additional data does is make it more clear how things have stalled since Winter.

Have at it. Tell people that nearly 200,000 jobs per month were created in 2012 Q 1. It gives us the ability to point out that job creation has fallen more than 50% in the past several (well, five, now) months.

64. czechsaaz spews:

@49 & 51.

Oh I don’t know about what he believes, but he’s only THE LEAD COUNCIL OF THE BOARD that will hear a formal ethics complaint should the wingers file one. I’m guessing that he perused the initial blog claims and knows a thing or two about what might happen should they file a formal complaint.

If they had something, they would file such a complaint rather than blog about it.

65. Steve spews:

@60 Shameful, a Republican blocking a cost-of-living increase for disabled vets and then hiding from it? I take it that Republicans prefer to use that money to give their idea of a true American hero, sin peddler Sheldon Adelson, a huge tax break.

They love sending Americans off to die in their misbegotten wars, but when they return and need our help, Republicans prioritize tax cuts for rich people over the needs of those who fought for this country.

Who the fuck in their right mind would ever vote for a Republican?

66. czechsaaz spews:

No problem. You can point that out and we’ll just say, “Hey, ‘member that Jobs bill that Obama proposed? Remember how they voted in the house? (trick question.) Remember all the jobs bills Repuvlican’s proposed that didn’t say, UnTax the rich? Remember the jobs bill that would immediately put veterans to work that the Republicans killed? Since puddl and Cap’n seem to want to discuss Elizabeth Warren, I’ll repost this from the other thread:

73. Liberal Scientist is a Dirty Fucking Socialist Hippie spews:

I was doing a little web-based research on Scotty Brown this morning, and came across a bit of irony.

First, I (re)learned that Scotty and I are both Jumbos – we both went to Tufts, though he’s a few years older than me and we didn’t overlap there.

I was friends there, however, with this man’s daughter, a lovely and intelligent and liberal woman, from a very liberal family. Her dad was a prominent jurist in Massachusetts, and we, apparently, have him to thank for saving Scotty Brown’s future, as he seemed to rescue him from a very difficult childhood and the road to petty criminal obscurity.

From Brown’s wikipedia page:

He shoplifted many times, and was arrested for stealing record albums and brought before Judge Samuel Zoll in Salem, Massachusetts at the age of 13 or 14. Zoll asked Brown if his siblings would like seeing him play basketball in jail and required Brown to write a 1,500-word essay on that question as his punishment. Brown later said, “that was the last time I ever stole.”

So…we have Scott Brown, broken home, abused, teenage petty criminal, son of a Republican politician, who has the good fortune to come before a caring, thoughtful liberal judge, who intervenes, and to Brown’s own admission, saves his future.

What does Brown then become? A tool of monied interests and the “I got mine” crowd that would have cared less if an inconsequential little thief swirled away into the prison industrial complex’s series of inescapable hellholes.

There’s character for you, puddl.

09/27/2012 at 8:24 am

I should say, there’s some fine character for you, puddl. Scott Brown is a lowlife, as we’re learning in greater and greater depth.

Well, don’t answer that, we know.

“Both sides do it” was Scotty Brown’s position with regard to the BLATANT RACISM that his staff orchestrated at a rally this week, when asked to apologize, which he has not done.

Doesn’t his racism bother you, puddl? What would your Jesus say about the tomahawk chops and the war whoops? Doesn’t that degrade his Native American children?

Oh Noes… Warren’s house of illegal cards is crashing even further…

In just the last few days even more information has come forward which supports my original position. We learned that Warren represented to the Texas Bar that her “primary practice location” was in Cambridge.

We also learned that Warren had a law practice going beyond brief writing, including being hired to provide legal advice to various creditors’ committees in bankruptcy cases, in which she represented to the Court that her “Billing Statement is in the same form regularly used by Professor Warren to bill her clients” and in which the work was performed, at $675 per hour as of 2002, from her Cambridge office. There will be more such examples detailed in coming days.

Wow! The Internet will set you free!

81. Puddybud spews:

Nice link. You missed the point. If they think they have something they can file an ethics complaint. Why hasn’t the board exinerate Warren yet? Uh, there hasn’t been a complaint. But we do know what the lead council of the board that would hear such a non existent complaint thinks.

You can link to as many obscure right wing ‘legal’ blog posts as you like.

84. czechsaaz spews:

Hee, hee, this is rich. Puddy’s Oh No’s link is a rank legal amature. At least that’s my opinion.

In trying to claim Warren represented a Massachusetts Client in a Massachusetts court:

I consider that test irrelevant, but in any event, Warren did represent a Massachusetts client in Massachusetts on a Massachusetts legal issue.

The case was an appeal in the First Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston in the case of Cadle Company v. Schlictmann.

Why is this so funny? A first year law student is probably aware that the First Circuit Court of Appeals is a FEDERAL court. Sure, it’s physically located in Boston but it is not a Massachusetts state court.

Got any more obscure legal scholars you want to quote, Piddles?

dumbASS!

88. Puddybud spews:

No Puddy. You represent a Massachussetts client in the state of Massachusetts in the State Superior court.

You also represent any case that is originally heard in a state court in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island or Puerto Rico on appeal at the 1st circuit in Boston. But you are by definition NOT arguing a case in a Massachusetts court, you are arguing in a federal court. This shouldn’t be so hard for you to grasp moron.

@88

There has been no ethics complaint. Are you really so dense as to suggest that she file an ethics complaint against herself just so dopes like you can stop pointing to the fact that the Massachusetts bar hasn’t cleared her?

91. Liberal Scientist is a slut who occasionally wears a hoodie spews:

She can get an ethics judgment to clear her name. Why hasn’t she done that?

Mostly because the only sources of complaint are right-tard fever swamps, and puddl, a swamp to himself.

Wonder why that hasn’t happened?

No. Why should he?

So you continue to think Mitt Romney killed Joe Soptic’s wife.

Very telling Lib da dunce!

99. Puddybud spews:

Only in your wet dreams.

Here’s a libtard’s take on the Warren fiasco. It ain’t pretty for Warren!

Shouldn’t Massachusetts voters know whether a candidate for the Senate willfully and flagrantly violated the rules of her profession? Wouldn’t that fact, if true, have a bearing on her fitness to serve in the U.S. Senate?

Ouch!

100. Puddybud spews:

Just had to keep looking for the checksez Massachusetts Court vs Federal Court issue… Link given above… wrongly rejected by checksez

The lien enforcement arose out of state law. Even though there were bankruptcy related issues, the question was whether the state law lien survived. As noted on the court docket and in the ultimate decision, the case only was in federal court because of what is called “diversity jurisdiction,” which permits a plaintiff to file in federal court if the plaintiff is a citizen of a different state than any of the defendants, and the dollar amount exceeds a minimum threshold (now $75,000).

The First Circuit ruled in favor of the creditor.

Proves once again checksez is usually on the wrong side of the issue!

101. Puddybud spews:

The Warren law practice issue is getting thornier for her to keep up her “position”.

You’re losing focus. It doesn’t matter if she won or lost the case. Your original link argued that she had tried a case in a Massachusetts state court. Q.E.D. the First Circuit Court of Appeals is NOT and never has been a Massachusetts court

Having the judgment go against her client doesn’t change the fact that it’s a federal court. That’s the only point im making and once again piddles, you’ve dug in your heels when a not crazy person would notice they’ve misread something complicated.

If you’re going to continue, I must insist you explain how a federal court is a state court.

105. Liberal Scientist is a slut who occasionally wears a hoodie spews:

@99
puddl sez:

Here’s a libtard’s take on the Warren fiasco.

He then links to a legal ethics site, which appears apolitical. I take his meaning to be that liberals are inherently ethical, and certainly more so than Teahaddists. I agree.

The site in question, Ethics Alarms, seems fine, though the page puddl linked to is just a reprint of more Jacobson – the guy who is a right-wing partisan hack and who has been going after Warren for some time – the guy who originated the whole law license issue.

From the comments at puddl’s link comes a sentiment I share, and wrote above:

I’m sorry, but at this time I have to call bullshit on this entire story until someone, ANYONE puts their money where their mouth is and files a formal ethics complaint against Elizabeth Warren with either the Mass BBO or relevant New Jersey body as it seems the New Jersey was her last active license.

Put up or shut up, homeslice.

106. Puddybud spews:

Once again poor checksez, is arguing over the minutia and lost focus… even libtard lawyers are beginning to agree with the Cornell Law Professor. The original case was Mass Case Law moved to federal court. Since it started as Mass Case Law it holds she practiced in Mass!

Sucks to be your side!

107. Liberal Scientist is a slut who occasionally wears a hoodie spews:

Oop…I was wrong…about the proprietor of the website puddl described as ‘libtard’, and at first look that I thought appeared apolitical and innocuous.

A few quotes in the comments from the ‘libtard’ who runs that site:

5. And in Massachusetts, a very political and crony-operated state, one can’t discount the fact that many lawyers in a Democratic monopoly state dominated by Harvard would be afraid of the long term consequences of reporting a Harvard Democrat who might get elected Senator. This doesn’t apply to Jacobson, but keep it in mind.
6. Jacobson is the only one keeping the press and the Mass Democrats from burying this story, and it is still pretty much being ignored. As you can see from Freedman’s reaction, the overwhelmingly liberal/progressive legal establishment is inclined to look the other way. I don’t think focusing on Jacobson’s conduct is germane. He’s right: he’s raised the issue, and based on what he’s raised, Warren should be answering questions.

The question is, is this like Harry Reid’s claim that Mitt Romney didn’t pay his taxes, a bogus claim meant to force a candidate to deal with a non-issue based on nothing?

Doesn’t sound like a ‘libtard’ to me. Sounds like someone giving cover to a hack like Jacobson while he tries to kneecap Warren, which he’s done in the past, and which comes just as Scotty needs a distraction from the attention on his “Native American Detector Vision”.

108. Liberal Scientist is a slut who occasionally wears a hoodie spews:

Still silence from puddl about the blatant racism shown by Scotty Brown, first when he told the world that Warren obviously wasn’t Native American because of the way she looks, and then releasing the racist hounds to tomahawk chop and war whoop at a warren rally – neither of which Scotty has apologized for.

Shameful, deeply depply shameful.

No, all day we’ve witnessed puddl dutifully carrying water for this racist, desperate to smear Elizabeth Warren in any way the fever swamp can cook up. Dutifully serving the right-wing as they stir up some of that really vile Boston racism, the stuff that slithers under the surface, not seen too much in the sunlight since the bussing riots, but there nonetheless.

As I said, shameful, and pathetic.

109. Puddybud spews:

Poor lib da dunce… First Ethics Alarms is a libtard lawyer hack who was dissing the Cornell law professor as a conservative hack. Then when he realizes there is smoke and fire… Lib da dunce discounts this libtard lawyer position.

Ya see Lib da dunce doesn’t pay attention. Ethics Alarms attacked the Cornell law professor from the beginning. Now he agrees with the Cornell law professor.

So typical when your position sucks!

110. Liberal Scientist is a slut who occasionally wears a hoodie spews:

@109
When are we going to hear that call from you for Scotty Brown to apologize for the blatant racism that his campaign has so desperately descended into?

Isn’t that a far bigger deal than this non-issue about Warren’s license? Isn’t it?

Or does Scotty really have “Native American Detector Vision”?

111. Liberal Scientist is a slut who occasionally wears a hoodie spews:

Puddl sez…

Ethics Alarms is a libtard lawyer hack who was dissing the Cornell law professor as a conservative hack.

Please point to a link for that, because reading his blog just now, the first reference to Jacobson’s latest attack on Warren on that blog is this.

Take a look at that link, everybody, to a post titled…

“Well, There Goes Elizabeth Warren’s Legal Ethicist Vote!”

…and bedecked with a Drudge-derived photoshop of Warren with war paint and a feather headdress.

When are you going to start reading your links, puddl? When are you going to stop trying to pass yourself off as someone who knows things, and who doesn’t just cut and paste what his betters command him to? (…and we all know you’re not a regular reader of Ethics Alarms, despite you voice implying familiarity, give up the fraud)

War paint and a feather headdress? Did you think that was funny?

When are you going to start having some self-respect and call bullshit on the racism the Republicans slither into whenever they feel themselves losing?

112. czechsaaz spews:

Oh Piddles, you are so ignorant and you don’t even know it.

The original case was Mass Case Law moved to federal court. Since it started as Mass Case Law it holds she practiced in Mass!

No. If she was council on the case before the appeals process, you’d have a point. But, in everything I’ve seen quoted, and I’m willing to admit that some evidence could still come up that she was involved in the Massachusetts Superior case, just because the case originated in Massachusetts doesn’t make the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals a Massachusetts court.

there’s a fundamental difference between a state case and a Federal appeal that you are either too stupid to grasp or, as I suspect, you know you’re wrong and keep digging in so as not to admit it.

If Roger Rabbit argues a case before the 9th Circuit Court in Seattle, even if the case originated in Washington, he’s not arguing in Washington State Court

This should be clear to even the thickest of dullards. But naturally, I’m dealing with Piddly so it’s no wonder he doesn’t get it.

As we all know, the purpose of this website is to act as a resource for saints and like minded people who are preparing for the tumultuous times that will lead up to the second coming of Jesus Christ. It is my personally held belief that the second coming of the Savior is much closer than many people realize and that, as prophesied, we are on the verge of radical changes in our society. We have been commanded many times to look for the signs of His coming and to prepare. just because the case originated in Massachusetts doesn’t make the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals a Massachusetts court.

And where did Puddy say that? The record is right in front of you. The Ethics Alarms dude (a libtard) also agreed with it. Only your simple little mind can’t process those facts.

Stay stoooopid checksez, you are an expert at stoooopidity!

115. Czechsaaz spews:

For fucks sake Puddy, keep up. That was my point. The ethics alarm guy wrote that the First Circuit proves Warren practiced before a state court. THAT’s why he, and you, are not smarter than a first year law student.

What you, and the linked post are insinuating is that you must be licensed in MA to appear before the FEDERAL appeals court. So you’re saying an attorney can’t argue before the Supreme Curt without being licensed in the district because that’s where the court is physically located. So no one who isn’t licensed in California can practice before the San Francisco based 9th circuit?

done.

116. Puddybud spews:

Notice how Lib da dunce attacks Puddy? The evidence is so compelling he has nothing else. Now why is that? Because the bells are pealing. Elizabeth Warren’s candidacy is going the way of Martha Coakley. People in MA are asking about her law “practice” and Lib da dunce attacks Puddy.

Sad so sad!

117. Puddybud spews:

Keep the faith checksez… Keep hoping for the best. Cuz Warren is dropping like a smelly turd. MA law is interesting… and it seems the Cornell Professor has identified how she broke rules. She hasn’t said he’s a liar. In fact she’s said nothing…

• On December 31, 2012, President Obama signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act For 2012 (NDAA).
The law authorizes the US military, for the first time in more than 200 years, to carry out domestic policing.
It grants dictatorial powers to the federal government to arrest any American citizen without warrant and indefinitely detain them for life anywhere in the world without any charge.
It is a catastrophic blow to civil liberties.

120. Puddybud spews:

A take on Elizabeth Warren, champeen of the little guy

Even more interesting is her clientele. Dow Chemical? GAF? Johns Manville? Isn’t it only greedy evil conservative corporate lawyers who do that? I guess the money was too good to pass up.

The money is the key. From representing corporate clients from her Harvard office to flipping houses in distressed neighborhoods, Ms. Warren has a nose for a buck. I continue to think that a careful review of schedule C on her released tax returns would be useful.

A small word of thanks to Cardinal Dolan, Robert George and K-Lo for helping shift the Catholic vote massively toward Obama with their summer campaign for religious liberty. And special thanks to Paul Ryan. No actual Catholic could ever find anything but puerile cruelty in the works of Ayn Rand, or rally to the idea that home-care for the elderly should be sacrificed to reduce tax rates for the super-rich.

communities, they don’t see any benefits for funding quality schools because the kids are going to leave and get jobs somewhere else, generating taxes for that other place. What’s in it for the community?

131. Puddybud spews:

If Defense Secretary Leon Panetta calls Benghazi a terror attack, why didn’t Obummer call it one in his UN speech?

Obummer’s silly speech at the UN claimed the dead Ambassador, the two retired navy seals and the other person were victims of rioters outraged by the anti-Muslim video. Reading the speech from da whitey house link, Obummer made sure to denounce film as “crude and disgusting” never mentioning Al Qaeda planned the attack long before 9/11/2012.

Why is this Obummer so weak on using the words terror attack?

132. Puddybud spews:

And why hasn’t the slobbering head up Obummer’s ASS libtard media held Hillary Clinton accountable for the lies from the State Department on Benghazi security around the dead ambassador? Because they want Obummer to win again and they will make sure at all costs and coverups!

Contrary to Friday’s claim by State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland that “at no time did we contract with a private security firm in Libya,” the department inked a contract for “security guards and patrol services” on May 3 for $387,413.68. An extension option brought the tab for protecting the consulate to $783,000. The contract lists only “foreign security awardees” as its recipient.

President Obama has the same kind of lead with Jewish voters (thanks to Bibi boosting the President and screwing Romney during his UN address) as the President has with the Black electorate, and Willard “The Stench” (not my perjorative…this is what PAUL RYAN calls his running mate!!!) Romney has not only lost Florida, but the now election is lost.

Poll: Obama leads grow in Ohio, Fla.

By David Jackson, USA TODAY
Updated 1d 18h ago

If new polls are any guide, President Obama has big leads in two states that could nail down his re-election: Ohio and Florida.

Obama leads Republican Mitt Romney by 10 points — 53%-43% — in Ohio, according to the Quinnipiac University/New York Times/CBS News survey.

Obama’s lead is 9 points in Florida, 53%-44%.

The president leads Romney by 12 points in Pennsylvania, a state the Democrats have carried in five straight presidential elections.

“Voters in each state see President Obama as better than Gov. Romney to handle the economy, health care, Medicare, national security, an international crisis and immigration,” Quinnipiac reports. “Romney ties or inches ahead of the president on handling the budget deficit.”

“Fuck the puddypussypissypants.”

143. Serial Conservative spews:

@ 142

First of all, your post is irrelevant. We should have learned from previous events and better protected our people.

Hell, remove the word ‘better’ from the above and it’s still an accurate sentence.

Second, the USS Cole attack occurred under Clinton’s watch, during the 2000 election campaign.

Nice try.

What did Barack know and when did he know it?

Does Hillary get thrown under the bus before the election or does Team Obama wait until afterward?

If the former, what will Bill’s response be?

150. Liberal Scientist is a slut who occasionally wears a hoodie spews:

So Cap’n, while you’re attacking MSNBC for allegedly giving Romney a sad, could you give us five itty bitty little improvements that Willard Mitt Romney will make in the lives of average working Americans, should he be elected President?

(I know that seems ever more remote, but that is why you’re defending him, right?)

151. Puddybud spews:

Oh my, another s finding out more about the imaginary law license of Elizabeth Warren…

I don’t need no stinking license. I am a native american law professor at Harvard. Fauxcohantas or Lieahantas. Either works!

Of course nothing about her will be posted this evening in the Friday Night Comics section!

152. Puddybud spews:

Warren has been on inactive status in Texas since June 1, 1992. Inactive status means a lawyer is not authorized to practice law.

Ouch!

153. Puddybud spews:

The other thing from the link is this…

(a) Qualifications. Except as provided below, no person shall practice law in this State unless that person is an attorney holding a plenary license to practice in this State, has complied with the Rule 1:26 skills and methods course requirement in effect on the date of the attorney’s admission, is in good standing, and, except as provided in paragraph (d) of this Rule, maintains a bona fide office for the practice of law. For the purpose of this section, a bona fide office is a place where clients are met, files are kept, the telephone is answered, mail is received and the attorney or a responsible person acting on the attorney’s behalf can be reached in person and by telephone during normal business hours to answer questions posed by the courts, clients or adversaries and to ensure that competent advice from the attorney can be obtained within a reasonable period of time. For the purpose of this section, a bona fide office may be located in this or any other state, territory of the United States, Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia (hereinafter “a United States jurisdiction”).

Butt, butt, butt, all of her defenders claim she didn’t use her Harvard office to practice law. Therefore she’s not a member of the New Jersey bar either. Hence she’s not a member of any bar! And she told the federal courts she was a member in good standing in Texas! Oopsie…

154. Puddybud spews:

So Roger SENILE Wabbit, were you ever on inactive bar status and told the court you were active?

What about proud leftist? Were you ever on inactive bar status and told the court you were active?

What about Richard Pope? Were you ever on inactive bar status and told the court you were active?

When the data from the Fox News poll is unskewed by weighting their reported percentages between Romney and Obama to the partisan affiliations showed by Rasmussen’s extensive data results on that issue, the overall picture of the race is different. With Republicans weighted 34.8 percent, Democrats at 35.2 percent and Independents at 30.0 percent, the results calculate to Obama leading but by a smaller 46 percent to 44 percent margin over Romney.

I don’t believe Murphy was serving in public office at the time.. Nor was he driving.

So Murphy made a mistake. West fired a fucking gun next to a captive’s head who was innocent of wrongdoing. Not in the army’s interrogation manual afaik. He was fined and drummed out of the military..

And this idiot’s been on an ugly resentment binge ever since.
