Well, they had issues updating manually entered data with the machine count. Elections New Brunswick, the independent body overseeing the provincial elections, briefly halted the count. The results showed that the governing Progressive Conservatives had lost after only one term, with the Liberals gaining a majority, and the Green Party won a seat. The Progressive Conservatives are not conceding, and demanding a hand count. Under the circumstances, they should get it, 5 districts were won with a margin of 100 votes or less.

I was just watching CBC News Now, and they mentioned these machines had been used in Municipal elections in NB no problems. The scary prospect, is Toronto will be using electronic tabulators in the upcoming municipal elections.
The New Brunswick Progressive Conservatives will announce if they plan to contest the results today. If the results stand, it will have been a route, backbenchers didn’t take the brunt of the backlash. The PC cabinet had 17 ministers, 8 were re-elected. The Energy and Mines minister represented Fredericton-South, he lost to the Green Party leader.
