I love the tradition, and their upsets are more thrilling than anything in any professional sport. Still, even if it makes business sense, I think there has to be a way to reign in Oregon’s uniforms.

I’ll pay $20, but I won’t pay $60. This started out as a $20 car tab fee to keep Metro bus service from being cut on dozens of routes. I’m for that. But by the time it gets to the ballot it’s a Christmas tree that costs car owners three times as much. I won’t vote for that.

By regulating them, of course! One-size-fits-all mortgages — 30-year fixed-rate — were good enough for our fathers and grandfathers. Look what trouble designer mortgages got us into! The FTC should make the Ducks wear the same uniforms as everyone else.
