I don’t recall Edwards denying the affair while he ran for President. The National Enquirer reported it in 10/2007 and Edwards ended his campaign at the end of January 2008. The problem is spending, not taxes. Do you, or more accurately, does your wife handle the family budget the way the government does? Does she spend more than she takes in? Does she donate money to people before she makes sure the family bills are paid. I definitely don’t mind my tax $ helping people. I would like it first to be spent funding needed services, like here in la la land that would be new water pipes. Pipes are busting on a daily basis. The first concern should be there, not funding a social program.
For example… you have $100 in the bank. Your roof walls need serious work that costs $100. Instread of repairing the house you bring in some homeless kids and spend your $100 on food/clothes for them. Because you didn’t repair the house, it falls in on you and the kids. Of course with broken water pipes and outdated power grid, kids aren’t being killed. I’m trying to point out that the basics need to be addressed first.
Lets use our life experience… My mom never moved because she loved her house and had memories there. I’m guessing quite the same for your mom. Or did your mom say to you that she wanted to move but couldn’tbecause she couldn’t afford taxes on a new home.
Since you know what is “reasonable,” I own 3 rental properties. What is a reasonable time I keep them? In my ignorance, I bought them as investments that will be bringing in money for years and years.
