Donkey Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) and Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) “had their home loans handled by [Countrywide Financial’s] VIP desk, where a team of loan officers would work out favorable terms in conjunction with [CEO Angelo] Mozilo, according to two former Countrywide executives.”
Now what senate committees do these guys sit?
Dodd is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
Conrad is the Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee He also is chairman of a Senate Finance subcommittee.

Are you surprised by the intensity of the attacks?” Roland Martin replies, “I’m not surprised by it, but I think, also, we can’t blame Republicans for everything. It’s these idiot Democrats that started some of this stuff.”

Politically Incorrect: You won’t be paying for my birth control. I and my employer pay for my health care, not you. Besides, what is cheaper: a shot of Depo-Provera once every three months, or 9 months of pre-natal care, a possible ambulance ride to the hospital’s maternity ward, the high likelihood of an emergency cesarean (my family tends to have 12+ pound babies) and a few days hospital stay? And that’s assuming I have the means to take care of an unplanned baby (and, if I can’t pay for the Depo shots, the odds are low of that). Add to that the cost of state assistance afterwards, possibly the costs of housing the child in a foster home until someone adopts him/her.
Having insurance companies pay for birth control means your insurance company doesn’t have to pick up the tab for unplanned pregnancies.
Also, if you would like to not pay for unplanned pregnancies, you may want to discuss with your health care provider why they cover the costs of Viagra, but not birth control.
Do health insurance companies still not pay for birth control?
I remember when mine didn’t (Regence) but for years now they have, are there really some out there that don’t? Ridiculous!
