SAN DIEGO – California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says that if an initiative to ban gay marriage qualifies for the November ballot, he’s prepared to fight it.
California’s governor spoke Friday in San Diego at the convention of the Log Cabin Republicans, the nation’s largest gay Republican group.
He has previously vetoed bills that would have legalized gay marriage. A Schwarzenegger spokeswoman did not say what prompted the governor to shift his position.
Schwarzenegger said he was confident a ban would never pass in California and called the effort “a waste of time.”

This mountain is known as
[ ] 1. Squaw Peak
[ ] 2. Piestawa Peak
My Sis (a staunch Democratic, I raised her nicely) was telling me what all the whoopla was about it. Apparently for MANY years, maybe decades, the town had been trying to rename some highway (I think it was renaming to ?Goldwater Blvd?). Back and forth, many hearings and rejections for so many years.
THEN suddenly, after all the Jessica Lynch stuff going down, within a VERY few weeks it was being decided to rename this mountain “Piestawa Peak” with little discussion. Everyone felt like it was being rammed down their throats in an attempt to glorify Bush’s War of Choice. I don’t think it’s merely a matter of racism but more a matter of the process that many people were objecting to for a major landmark. Think many people down there get tired of all the political correctness being heaved at them, too.

Pelletizer, as always, proves he’s a dingbat when he leaves law topics.
The Dalai Lama issue is about who chooses whom to speak. Why the Dalai Lama and not Dr. Billy Graham? How about his son Franklyn Graham? Franklyn runs the compassionate operation Samaritan’s Purse which delivers Christmas shoe boxes to poor children around the world during the holiday season. The Puddy Family participates mightily in that endeavor becuz Puddy knows poor.
If Dr Graham was selected to speak to the students with a “secular message” of compassion would he be acceptable to the headless lucys’ of Seattle Skuuls? Separation of Church and state isn’t in the US Constitution but is a concept the liberals will break at any time as necessary to deliver their ideals. So Pelletizer if the Dalai Lama is acceptable:
How about Robert Schuller or Robert Schuller Jr of the Crystal Cathedral fame. Surely y’all heard them preach.
How about Dr. Jeremiah Wright? Will he be bellicose? Will he talk about compassion on why his $1.6 million home in white suburbia?
How about Dr Frederick Price? He ordained Joel Osteen. Fiery preacher who knows the Word of God.
How about Joel Osteen? He preaches love and compassion without hardly ever opening the Bible. Would he be acceptable?
How about Joyce Meyer? Female Preacher, political correctness taken care of with a woman?
Let’s go local. How about Ken Hutcherson? Goldy would be front a center protesting that choice.
So let’s submit Casey and Wendy Treat. You get two for one and they are husband and wife.
We all know the ACLU would be all over those choices like BBGoober in a manure pile. Wait a minute… BBGoober lives in a manure pile.
