A local judge files a complaint about a stolen weed whacker and heater and reports the suspect and his address.
Local police for some reason send six officers to serve a warrant at 11:59PM, over a weed whacker theft.
But in the grand tradition of Breonna Taylor they were at the wrong house. They were two houses off. Officers storming into the house were confronted by the recently awakened resident and fired seven shots, five struck the recent widower. Dispatch tapes now made public contain the dispatcher FOUR TIMES giving the address that the officers were supposed to late night barge into for some reason over a used weed whacker and heater.
Oh, and the suspect the Judge swore an affidavit was the thief of his property was already in custody when police stormed the wrong house and killed a grandfather.

What Dumbfuck fails to process is that they went at 11:59pm to serve a warrant for a stolen weed whacker, went to the wrong address so there are ZERO lawful orders the police can demand of a man (castle doctrine) in an owned residence NOT named in the warrant, Breaking the door was an illegal search and seizure (see constitution), the local police ended the use of bodycams in 2023 the account of the officers surrounding the house is not corroborated.
And because Dumbfuck made it up….
The initial police account is they announced themselves at the door of the residence and getting no response forcefully entered. A neighbor quoted in several media reports corroborates THIS version of events.
So in Dumbfuckland, surrounding the house and having a standoff for ‘five minutes’ is exactly like not getting a response. Either that or the cops lied on the incident reports and actually did surround the wrong house and get into a standoff which they for some reason left off the report.
And being the most generous possible, arriving at a house, seeing an armed person inside police were STILL AT THE WRONG HOUSE and neither took the time to confirm the address for a fifth time or deescalate and decided to just charge in and murder someone and ask questions later.
Also the named suspect was arrested 2.5 hours earlier and was in custody so the local police sent a midnight posse of six officers to investigate what they had been told was a vacant home where the stolen property had been stored.
