I’m with Dow, too! The Dow Jones average that is. (But I’m also for Dow Constantine! Suzie Hutchison is a sneaky lying wingnut sack of shit.) My portfolio is up over $1,200 in today’s market action, and a phone call to my broker confirmed that I have one of the top-performing portfolios this year among his 300+ clients. While most have recovered 50% to 60% of their losses from 2007 highs, I’m well over 80% and still advancing! One of my best picks this year is Harley Davidson, which I bought in June and is now on track to double by the end of the year. Hutchison, on the other hand, is a three-time loser — fired from KOMO for insubordination, an inexperienced political tyro, and now in trouble with the Public Disclosure Commission for possibly concealing an alleged illegal campaign contribution from a company affiliated with Craig McCellular. She’s not reputable and no responsible voter would vote for her.

Texas Coverup?
Republican Sen. Kay Hutchison is questioning the actions of GOP Party Gov. Rick Perry in replacing members of a state commission investigating whether Todd Cameron Willingham was executed in 2004 for a crime he didn’t commit.
Willingham’s children died in a 1991 house fire. There is no direct evidence the fire was anything but an accident. The murder case against him rested entirely on the forensic conclusions of a local investigator. A highly respect national authority on arson hired to review the conduct of the investigation wrote a scathing report that portrayed the investigation as incompetent and compared the forensic methods used to convict Willingham to the practice of voodoo.
A state commission was supposed to review that report and issue official findings. But Perry didn’t like the way things were going so he fired the commissioners and replaced them, and has launched a full-court-press public relations campaign against a dead man, calling Willingham “a monster” and asserting “suggestions that he may have been innocent are anti-death-penalty propaganda.”
The truth be damned. In Perry’s eyes, what counts is preserving public support for the death penalty. And if that requires suppressing an outside investigation of a botched criminal investigation, hiding evidence of innocence, and slandering a dead man who can’t defend himself, he’ll do it.
That’s a fucking Republican for you.
Perry has a history of sacking appointees who don’t toe his political line, whatever it is at the moment: “Hutchison …, said Perry’s actions were heavy-handed, much like his decision to replace appointees on university regent boards who didn’t back him.”
His motive? Perry approved Willingham’s execution, and doesn’t want to go down in history as the governor who put an innocent man to death. This, apparently, is too much even for a close political associate and United States Senator of his own party.
I’m sure Hutchison’s handlers see KC as just a stepping stone to higher office.
Yep the worst U.S. Senator ever from this fair state. She could never hide what an empty suit she is as Governor.
And Rob McKenna looks like he has a lock on the Governor’s job. I haven’t seen anyone yet that could beat him. Please inform me otherwise if I’m wrong!

Roger Rabbitspews:
@5 The Willingham case was already making Texas justice look bad. Now that GOP Party Gov. Rick Perry has committed actions reminiscent of Nixon’s “Saturday Night Massacre,” the case is guaranteed of getting intense national media coverage.
Meanwhile, back in Texas, I think impeaching Perry should be put on the table. Not for signing the death warrant — that was an honest mistake — but for interfering with the investigation, which is anything but an honest mistake.
