How torture works

“A prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”

re 19: As a former soldier you are used to bullying underlings and being obsequieous to those with higher rank.

I occupy a higher position than you in the social scale. Now get your pointy headed self into the corner like I ordered you to!

I haven’t seen any contracts published in the newspapers. What I have seen is tons of spiteful rhetoric by people who haven’t read the contracts, claiming to plan on taking back the money. KBR is delivering on their contracts daily in Iraq. Ask Darcy who is feeding her brother in Iraq 3 meals a day, who provides the showers and latrines for her brother every day, who is laundering his uniforms and washing his underwear? Who is providing the tents with telephones and computers for her brother to phone home? Who is providing the gym equipment, the satellites, the TV’s, etc, etc, etc, ad nauseum………..

Vote for Darcy Burner. She’ll take the money back from incompetent war profiteers — like Bush and Cheney.

Did you know that the Carlyle Group is supposedly cleaning up Hansford? Take the money back!!

More Republican graft and corruption. It runs in the family.

contractors are NOT paid for promises – they are paid by contract!

If they fulfilled the contract, there isn’t a JUDGE in the world who would make them PAY back money to the government!

Naive is not your color. Unless your color is the blood of soldiers slaughtered for the Bush/Cheney Cabal.

Can y’ll say “war profiteers”? I knew you could.
Last evening Darcy Burner in the townhall meeting at Beaver Lake said that a Democratic Congress would TAKE BACK money that was given to contracters who failed to deliver on their promises.

OH YEAH!!!! That’s who I’m voting for!!!!

WASHINGTON – President George W. Bush, delivering the latest in a series of speeches on the fight against terror, admitted to setbacks in Afghanistan on Friday, particularly in the training of police. But he predicted ultimate victory over resurgent Taliban forces there and against terrorists everywhere.

He lashed out anew at critics “who make a case that, by fighting the terrorists, we’re making our people less secure here at home. This argument buys into the enemy’s propaganda that the terrorists attack us because we’re provoking them,” he said.

Only a matter of time before they come for those who dare to speak out against the government. I will proudly die rather than submit. I will go wherever it is that those who place their country first go. If that happens to be your hell, I will stand in Satan’s face, spit in his eye and say “Fuck you, Devil. God bless America”!!!!

    Powerful film from You Tube.

In our lifetime, this is the single most blantant attack upon our sensibilities as Americans and as compassionate human beings. We can no longer lay claim to the title “Leaders of the free world”.

    How shameful!!

I ripped Natalie of the Dixie Chicks when she said she was ashamed to be from Texas in commenting about the president.

I am ashamed to be an American today. We have now sanctioned the torture of our men, using any manner of horrors, when they are captured by the enemy. We will have no moral ground upon which to stand and claim outrage. We have become our own worst enemy. We have become what we so despise.

Today, I cry for America. Tomorrow I may cry for our tortured soldiers.

    Anyone who backs this

All is so good, that I’d like to find out any mistake or discrepancy, but I have not found. Take my words; it is not insulting for me. I am really very glad for you!

Actually, a contract is an exchange of promises–Party A agrees to do X if Party B will do Y. Breach of contract suits are based on one (or both) party(ies) failing to fulfill contractual promises. I think ample evidence suggests that private parties involved in Iraq have failed to meet their contractual obligations to the military. They should be sued. If failure to meet the terms of their obligations is established, then they can be forced to repay their ill-gotten gains to the government. Of course, this scenario would require that someone in our federal government actually believes in accountability and responsibility. Those concepts are entirely alien to the Bush Administration and the lapdog Congress.
