You all do know this is fake news, or umm this is a fake bible verse. Saul would not say what is up here to his son Jonathon. The actual verse is:
“Then Saul’s anger was kindled against Jonathan, and said unto him. Thou art the son of a perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thous hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mothers nakedness. ”
This is a discussion from Saul to the son of one of his wives. Probably not the current favorite wife. And yes if one reads Samuel and the other books that are about David there is some tongue in cheek suggestions that David isn’t such a wonderful guy. He certainly managed to piss of Saul and manages to usurp the kingship. And of course for Christianity to hold up Jesus has to claim kinship with David.
Actually sitting down with ohh the King James version would be helpful to the original verse up for discussion, and some of the comments. The verse as given is at best fake at worst false. Though Saul and David are both dicks. Still according to the publicists God really liked them at some time, for a short time.
@4 I don’t think aspirins have anything to do with this discussion. Whores do it for money and sluts do it. Which do you want in the bedroom? Clearly Jonathan’s mom likes sex so no aspirin is needed, though Saul clearly would have like an effective form of birth control ohh some 1 to 20 years before this discussion. Fathers and mothers today occassionally may have thoughts like that even about a child they love. Kids are natures way of your parents getting revenge.

@6 You do realize there are people who want to pass laws against contraceptives, don’t you? Some of them even think using a contraceptive is murder and should be punished by the state accordingly. Because the Bible tells them so, and they believe in forcing strangers to live according to their religion.
