– Happy Trans Pride.

– Oh hey, a good piece of legislation from the Seattle City Council, on rent software.

– But don’t get too excited, they still stink.

@1. Be honest. It’s the fault of voters who refused to vote for a smart woman or worse, a smart woman of color with a Jewish husband, and instead, voted for a felon. May they have the life they voted for. A lot of it. Deep and hard.

    From the previous thread
Core inflation rate rose to 2.7% in May, more than expected, Fed’s preferred gauge shows
Excluding food and energy, core PCE posted respective readings of 0.2% and 2.7%, compared with estimates for 0.1% and 2.6%.
Consumer spending and income showed further signs of weakening. Spending fell 0.1% for the month, while personal income declined 0.4%.

Fox host: “Q1 GDP final read was -0.5%. We were expecting a loss of 0.2% for Q1 GDP.
This is the first negative read that we’ve actually clocked since Q1 of 2022.”

A combination of inflation and tariffs is reducing real disposable income, while surging government spending that benefits only a narrow group contributes little to broad economic growth. Together, these forces are enabling a contracting real economy, even as short-term stock market gains mask the underlying weakness.

    From the previous thread
US economy shrunk faster than expected,
GDP contracted by 0.5 percent on an annualized basis, surprising economists, 0.3 percentage points lower than the last measurement from the Commerce Department.
Economists were expecting the number to stay the same at a 0.2 percent contraction.
Together with private investment, first-quarter spending was 0.6 percentage point lower than the previous estimate.

Welfare Queen YLB, her breasts now nothing more than deflated teabags hanging to waist level, can only gaze longingly at the billionaire she’ll never get to fellate, who owns the WaPo she’ll never get to influence..

Now that the 55- year-old bride Sánchez has proved that landing the fourth richest man in the world requires the permanent display of breasts like genetically modified grapefruit and behemoth buttocks bursting from a leopard-print thong bikini, she’s exuberantly and unapologetically shown that the route to power and glory for women hasn’t changed since the first Venetian Republic.

So am I reading this court decision correctly? We now have 50 micronations with their own laws interpreting the U.S. Constitution wholly separate from one another? But there’s one guy with private law enforcement who is immune from all punishment who can do whatever he wants in those 50 states?

@1 You think I’m unhappy that SCOTUS took the teeth out of Republican judge-shopping, and Judge Kacsmaryk can’t write nationwide injunctions anymore?

Federal courts, unlike state courts of general jurisdiction, are courts of limited jurisdiction. Congress decides what cases they can decide.

    That cuts two ways, dumbfuck.

@10 Don’t overreact. This is a procedural ruling, not a decision on the merits. Birthright citizens can still sue to block Trump’s EO in all 50 states. Judges can still issue local injunctions. Pending further litigation, the EO will only apply in shithole red states, where it won’t affect African-Americans at all.

Meanwhile, voters across America will see TV images of ICE SWAT teams swarming into hospital maternity wards with drawn machineguns and kidnapping day-old infants before the midterm elections.

    In today’s political news,

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) suggested New York Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani should be deported and denaturalized ahead of the November election.

“Zohran ‘little muhammad’ Mamdani is an antisemitic, socialist, communist who will destroy the great City of New York,” Ogles wrote in a Thursday post on the social platform X, appearing to invoke the Muslim Prophet Muhammad.

“He needs to be DEPORTED. Which is why I am calling for him to be subject to denaturalization proceedings,” he added.

The Tennessee lawmaker attached his letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi in the post, urging her to denaturalize Mamdani, citing a chapter from the U.S. Code that outlines the revocation of citizenship for individuals who willfully misrepresent or conceal material support for terrorism.

“According to public reports, including a June 21, 2025 New York Post article, Mr. Mamdani expressed open solidarity with individuals convicted of terrorism-related offenses prior to becoming a U.S. citizen. Specifically, he rapped: ‘Free the Holy Land Five / My guys,’” Ogles wrote in the letter.

    https://thehill.com/homenews/house/5372203-tennessee-republican-calls-for-mamdani-to-be-denaturalized-deported/

Let’s skip over the fact Ogles is a piece of shit who’s full of shit, because everyone already knows that, and cut to the chase. If Mamdani has supported terrorists, so has Ogles (Jan. 6). If we’re going to revoke citizenship for exercising free speech, let’s revoke Ogles’ citizenship, because he’s never said anything deserving of constitutional protection. This is a goose-gander deal; what’s applies to Mamdani also applies to Ogles, who maybe should be more careful about what he wishes for.

This is not to say I’m an unabashed Mamdani fan, or support all of his proposals; I’m not and do not; but he got more primary votes than any other candidate, and New Yorkers have the right to elect him as their mayor if that’s what they want to do.

As of yesterday, winning an election wasn’t a deportable offense, but I don’t know about today. Trump, Bondi, Noem, and Miller seem to want to get rid of anybody who isn’t native-born, and some of the latter, too. It remains to be seen how far the SCOTUS Catholic majority will let them go with that.

Maybe if we had a more equitable economic system you wouldn’t have self-described socialists like Bernie Sanders, AOC, and Mamdani winning elections, although all three seem to be advocating and practicing a pragmatic, not ideological, kind of “socialism.” If you don’t like politicians like these, thank the corporate oligarchy and the 1% for creating them. Mamdani’s election victory clearly is a backlash against that system, and also a repudiation of Eric Adams’ corruption (that’s a bad thing??).

The late House speaker Tip O’Neill famously said, “All politics is local.” NYC isn’t Seattle or Peoria or Miami. Mayoral candidates campaign on local needs and issues. Never having lived or been in NYC, I’m in a poor position to judge Mamdani’s policy proposals. So is Ogles, but Ogles isn’t right about anything.

Ogles is a guy who lied about his college credentials. He flunked out of college, receiving an “F” in every course, then eventually went back and scraped out a general liberal arts degree with a 2.4 GPA. He then lied about majoring in international relations, which he didn’t, and about being an “economist,” which he isn’t. Ogles has never held a “real job” (as GOPers like to say); he’s been a career political operative and politician his entire adult life (the kind of person GOPers call “swamp creatures”). He’s repeatedly proven he knows nothing about anything.

Whatever else Mamadani is, he’s far more intelligent, educated, honest, and honorable than Ogles is. Ogles is the slime that oozes out of backed-up sewers in places like rural Tennessee.

Zohran Mamdani Proposes Taxing ‘Whiter Neighborhoods’ in NYC

Mamdani’s official campaign website features a policy memo under the title “Supporting homeowners and ending deed theft.”

The document says that if elected his administration will “Shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods.”

Funny things about mobile societies. Residents have the ability to move in order to avoid being unfairly targeted.

Mahmoud v. Taylor decided the way you’d expect.

If those books were LGB friendly instead of LGBTplus friendly, there would be no issue. It’s the fucking freak show the trannies insist living in others’ faces on that makes it an issue.

LGB needs to eliminate the tranny rot from the normal LGB community. Maybe it will take another conservative-leaning SCOTUS justice or two before the need becomes clear.

And I am OK with that.
