On the other hand, this is America, where every citizen is a politician, by design. So that’s a difference without a distinction.
Democrats must continue working to blow up the GOP-concocted myth that Palin is a “reformer.” She is the nation’s greediest governor in terms of seeking earmarks for her state. She not only supported the “bridge to nowhere” before opposing it, but kept the federal money after jumping aboard the opposition train (which she did only because the bridge was already dead). When she was mayor, Wasilli was one of only 8 of Alaska’s 149 incorporated municipalities that employed a Washington, D.C. lobbyist. As mayor, she not only raked in record amounts of federal largesse, but also ran the town (previously debt free) deep into deep. Reformer, your ass — this woman is a phony.

The Dems much ado about nothing lawsuit over whether Rossi could use GOP was easily tossed out yesterday with these reasons cited in the Seattle Times:

Wow. I hate to break up all the fun everyone is having describing various sexual encounters with barnyard animals, but since this is the current open thread, I’ve got nowhere else to ask this.
I just received a robo-call claiming to be from “Deb Saxton, Washington State Democrats, Campaign to Change America”.
While the call itself was only mildly annoying, it occurred to me that there was a distinct possibility that the call didn’t actually come from our party, but might have simply been one more attempt by the Republicans to discourage Democrats and annoy independents in our name.
Certainly, few organizations can match our Washington State Democratic Party in finding ways to annoy Democrats, but a robo-call campaign seems like a bad enough idea that even our party leadership should be able to recognize it as a really stupid plan.
Together with the fact that the call hung up within a couple of seconds of the ending line “press one to volunteer”, my thought is that it’s probably another “Speaker’s Roundtable” stunt.
At least I hope so. Please, someone, tell me that we aren’t actively trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Of course, after seeing the latest batch of Governor Gregoire’s campaign ads, I have my doubts.
