    Here’s a descent article on Pete Peterson, who has taken some heat from the left as of late.

    It’s worth contrasting Peterson against the vast majority of our resident trolls. Peterson doesn’t come to the table with his own, unique set of “facts” that are held to be true despite the available evidence.

    Don’t be fooled by Peterson’s apparent “reasonableness”. His freak show is a well cloaked all out assault on our social safety net. It is nothing but a right wing solution in search of a problem.

    Read some Jamie Galbraith or Dean Baker about Pete Peterson and deficit hawkery in general. Then get back to us. Thank you.

    I didn’t say that I agree with Peterson. Indeed, I’m very much in Galbraith’s camp in terms of the debate.

    The point is, with Peterson, one can have an actual debate. You can’t do that with our resident trolls, most of whom are given to making shit up as they go along or simply ignoring relevant facts that are inconvenient.
