    As for Diesel Electric submarines, looks like the Royal Canadian Navy is looking to triple their fleet from 4 to 12. At least with an order for up to 12, they won’t be buying used, this time. Although the Victoria class SSKs were the pinnacle of British Diesel-Electric submarines, barely in service before the RN retired them, and the Canadian Forces were looking for a good deal.

    Just had the power go out in my neighborhood , and City Light said about 1:45pm for restoration. As usual, they were off, it was only an hour.

    Ironically, Metro line crews were in the area, to turn off power. Due to regular construction work, trolley operations are motorized on weekends and overhead wires are de-energized.
