With Diesel prices going up, would be great if Metro put all tge Proterra’ battery buses they have available on Rt226/241(the Charger is at Eastgate Transit Center), and not dieselize tge trolleybuses on weekends. At least this weekend’s dieselization is not entirely due to building construction. They are currently adding a short stretch of wire on NE 43rd St between 15th Ave NE and 12th Ave NE to allow Westbound Rt44 passengers to easily transfer to/from LINK at U-District Station without crossing 45th. To connect the wire to the network, tgey do have to turn at least a few substations off.
There are some developments with Trolleybus technology that ai think Metro should look into. Near term, Rt58 should be a Trolleybus by 23-25.. Long Term, a couple new RapidRide routes will be Trolleybus routes. In Motion Charging would allow for some interesting off wire possibilities. I’ve brainstormed a few, Rt8 would be easy pickings, just electrify Denny, and use the portion it shares with Rt4 to recharge on MLK Jr way and a short stretch of wire could be added leading into Mt Baker Transit Center. The city would like to extend Rt44 to Laurelhurst, via 45th. Use that for partial wiring of Rt31 and 32.

You understand the difference, don’t you? When a PDX Antifa fuck sets fire to a police car and there’s plenty of video evidence, the fuck is arrested, but the Multnomah County DA dismisses the charges the next day, there’s still a smoldering former vehicle. A crime was still committed.

Steve, the righteous thing for Comey to do would have been to indict The Corrupt One, #CrookedHillary. This would have forced her from the race, and would have given the DNC time to substitute another candidate, and perhaps prevent Donal Trump from winning the presidency.
Think on your sins, Steve.

Heroic police in Apopka Florida came to the aide of vigilant citizens last week to thwart a dangerous bike robbery ring that was threatening the lives and safety of their community.
Five units of Apopka police, and seven officers, including a supervisor, responded to the report that an armed citizen patrol had apprehended a suspect in the daring, daylight robbery of a 20″, neon magenta “Stingray” bike. Swarming to the scene police took custody of the dangerous 11-year-old offender, subdued him, placed him under arrest, put him in restraints and secured him in the back of a unit, all while holding off a street mob consisting of agitated affiliates. Officers kept their cool, despite the pressures and completed their in-depth investigation at the scene. Upon determining that the bike in question had been a Christmas gift to the boy this past year, they thanked and congratulated the armed vigilant citizens patrol for their fine efforts and proceeded to transport the child for booking “just in case” and also “out of an abundance of caution for officer and community safety”.
Following routine finger printing and cavity search the arrest reports were mis-filed and 11-year-old Jamir Bradford was given a bus ticket and a warm soda and released into the street. No charges have been filed. But they’ll be keeping their eyes on this one. You can be sure of that.

32,
That’s the shitty thing about federal criminal conspiracy charges.
It only requires an agreement among the participants, and a single overt act in furtherance of the underlying crime. The overt act itself need not be criminal (driving the getaway car under the speed limit obeying all the traffic laws, etc.). Stone understands this well from his Nixon/Watergate days.
But there is a rather steep statutory intent requirement that would be difficult to meet (prosecutor must show evidence that they knew they were transporting bank robbers away from a bank robbery or attempted bank robbery). My guess is these offenses will go unindicted owing to the intent requirements and the sensitive political nature and identity of the offenders. I don’t really doubt that they knew what they were doing, had previously agreed to do so, and knew it was in support of a criminal conspiracy to overturn the election by fraud. But I’m just as sure that they did so comfortably sure that they could deny that knowledge and escape criminal indictment.
Stone, on the other hand, could be in trouble again.
It’s his destiny it seems.
Was some fucking pathetic impotent troll complaining earlier about a former Sec. of State sending “sensitive” email to an off-brand tablet device or some shit? Poor thing.

Yes. Initially at least, they kept the bike until the civil infraction record, related to the reported robbery of the bike, was cleared.
Of course the family is going to sue, if they have any common sense at all. And not for the money, although given the circumstances the kid will never be able to trust a cop as long as he lives. But at least so they can get a full accounting by the police.
This is the single biggest problem with police accountability in the U.S. There is no real accountability. “Investigations” are completed, most of the time by the same police agency that is being investigated. And then the agency itself decides what gets shared with the public about the results of the investigation. The end.
That’s the reason Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty is suing her city. Under their system, and it is not unique or unusual, that’s the only way even she can get any kind of accounting out of them for the criminal frame up conspiracy the police pulled on her last spring. Nobody other than the chief of police has access to the investigative file. Not even a City Commissioner. And the police department admits that’s what happened. They just won’t say how, why, or by whom.
The $5 million will certainly come in handy when she wins. And it makes sense too. Since it’s pretty fucking obvious that a very powerful taxpayer funded police union will stop at nothing, she needs a well funded campaign to withstand the attacks. But the main thing the lawsuit gets her is civil discovery. Right now the city strategy is to try and get the case tossed on immunity. But once that fails they’ll offer a settlement to avoid discovery. It’s only money, after all.

In March of 1986 the new Soviet Ambassador to the U.N. Yuri Dubinin arrived in the U.S. and was immediately taken by his daughter Natalya, who at that time was attached to KGB at the Soviet U.N. delegation, to visit Trump Tower. They arrived unexpectedly according to them, but were nonetheless escorted to Trump’s offices and met with him. Trump was said to have been enormously flattered by the ambassador’s visit, and it made a profound impression. Six months later the veteran Soviet diplomat arranged to be seated with Trump at a business luncheon hosted by Leonard Lauder, CEO of Estee Lauder. Six months after that meeting, with KGB approval, Dubinin, who by this time had been named Soviet Ambassador to the U.S., delivered an invitation to Trump for a hosted visit to Moscow. The trip was arranged through the KGB directorate overseeing tourism and took place in July of 1987
Two months after returning from his KGB hosted trip, Trump spent $100,000 on full page ads in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe calling for an end to NATO.
They had him at hello.

Clearly QoS McHillbilly did not watch the video available in a link from his link. Had he done so, he would have observed that everyone in the recording not wearing a police uniform is black. He would not have described those civilians as a street mob, nor as agitated. He might not have even posted about this, because a slightly more careful look makes clear that one black kid lied about another black kid, and the second kid was cuffed for less than a minute to settle him down while police did their investigation. Further, FOIA requests for the body cams have been filed, and we’ll soon learn that the cuffs were used for a defensible reason.
We all learned, didn’t we, from the Rittenhouse prosecutors that everyone takes a beating now and then, and we should each just suck it up and absorb the blows when they occur.

Mark and Debbie Meadows registered to vote in September 2020 at a trailer they didn’t own in the mountains of North Carolina. His apparent motive was to establish a North Carolina voting residence in case he decided to run for the open Senate seat there in 2022 (on which he passed).
Debbie Meadows rented the trailer — several years ago, not in 2020 — and according to the owner, stayed there only 1 or 2 nights. The owner says Mark Meadows never spent a single night there. The property was for sale when they used it as a voter registration address, but they didn’t buy it. They bought this instead.
