    I had commented on the graphs in the article. Those graphs were general relationship data. They were not data broken down by race or by other demographic, other than hetero/homo sexual status.

    The Even Bigger Fucking Moron wants to believe that mixed-race marriages are due to online dating. I prefer to believe that online dating affects all types of relationship pairing, regardless of race, and it was in no small part because of visual cues and stimuli that shared photos and video cameras on computers make possible. It’s why I made the dick pic comment. I’m sure faces were shared as well, but you know that the shared dick pic looms large in online exchanges. After all, it’s how G-clown chooses his top for the upcoming hour on any given night.

    Because I excluded race from the point, my comment is deemed racist.

    This mindset is why liberals lost on Tuesday.

    Nineteen – count ’em, 19 – Senate Republicans voted for the bill that passed last night.

    I haven’t seen it stated explicitly but I don’t think there’s a conference committee to resolve differences between House and Senate versions. The House apparently adopted the entirety of the Senate-passed bill.

    The Senate bill was supported by 19 Republican senators. There won’t be any blowback for an infrastructure bill supported by 13 House Republicans. Trump campaigned on a $1 trillion infrastructure bill in 2016. Trump just wanted others to shoulder the cost burden for most of it.

    Let’s keep in mind that new spending for this bill is under $600 billion. The GOP was successful in repurposing previously allocated monies for the remainder.

    Let’s keep in mind, as well, that the bill is a victory for Manchin. Strengthens him for the BBB fight to come. He brought a nice chunk of the $1.2 trillion in spending to West Virginia.

    The “secret whip” scuttlebut has been that Pelosi and Hoyer assigned Henry Cuellar of Texas, who has strong ties to Bush era Republicans, to quietly begin outreach to House Republicans during the Jan impeachment and beyond. Supposedly that outreach has continued very quietly via intermediaries and within the various districts both to assist with Biden’s legislative agenda and to focus targeting efforts for the 2022 midterms.

    Don’t be too surprised if some of the thirteen who run for reelection are not faced with a well financed Democrat in the general. And likewise don’t be too surprised if President Biden spends some extra time in Laredo over the next twelve months cutting ribbons and holding shovels.

The San Diego Sheriff’s Department’s illegal surveillance and recording program involves precisely the same surveillance contractor.

    The Union Tribune learned of the spying program from reviewing public records of emails between the Superior Court in El Cajon and the District Attorney’s office. In the emails the judge stated that defense attorneys in his court had raised objections after inadvertently discovering that county district attorneys had illegally obtained transcripts of their pretrial meetings with their clients. None of the district attorneys in possession of the illegally transcribed recordings had made any notification to either the court, the defense, or the Sheriff’s department.

    This describes in a purified, distilled essence how modern criminal justice in the United States works. Now bear that in mind when you consider demands for more funding form more police, more prosecutors and more courts to put more poor people and people of color in jail.

    Maybe even bear that in mind the next time you think about picking up the phone to dial 911 because you saw a “suspicious looking” person lurking around your car or mailbox.

    It’s not just that you are risking someone’s life by bringing them into contact with trigger happy, sport-murdering cops. It’s also because if they are lucky enough to survive being “investigated” by the police they face a criminal legal system that is entirely rigged to fuck them.
