    It’s sad that the 500 won’t run until August,but Indy is a paegent of patriotism, and the fans are part of the experience. Might watch the Coca Cola 600. As a resident of the neighborhood where the Albert Lea Cup is held, I have mixed feelings about skipping a year, but H1 Unlimited has only 5 races, and Guntersville , Alabama and Madison, Indiana have already postponed until next year. If San Diego joins us and the other two, the Tri-Cities will be alone.

    Also, many of the boats, including the city-owned boat from Indiana are based out of Seattle. The Blue Angels already committed for next year.

    I have a confession to make.

    Starting right after Trump’s election I never had any use at all for shy-Trumpers and never-Trumpers like George Conway, Steve Schmidt, or Rick Wilson. I don’t really agree with their underlying premise, that opposition to Trump can “save” or “restore” the Republican Party. Trump is the Republican Party. His base is the party’s base. Destroy the party by destroying them. Otherwise they will destroy democracy in America.

    All along, my biggest complaint about so-called never-Trumpers has been that I don’t see any willingness on their part to go after Trump’s strength by going after the party and those in it who support Trump. I’ve dismissed them as careerists who might be willing to mock or discredit Trump, but who would never take on a Republican candidate because of how it would damage their business. But starting with this past week the never-Trumpers at The Lincoln Project got real.

    They’ve piled up money since last year and starting this past week they unleashed a lot of it. Yes, quite a bit was directed at Trump, hoping to sow division at the top of his campaign. But they’ve also unleashed a wave of ads going after Republican incumbents in the Senate like McSally, Collins, and Tillis. And they are even running ads promoting Joe Biden.

    So in a lot of ways I was totally wrong about at least some of the never-Trumpers. The Lincoln Project is doing the right thing. It’s going to ruin them in politics. They will be blacklisted by campaigns and other campaign vendors, especially in state races and House races which is where most of these guys like Schmidt and Wilson make their money. It must have been a difficult decision knowing that they’ll have to make their money some other way and that they won’t get to be part of the winning.

    But I still think they are wrong about the Republican party. I don’t think they can save it. And I don’t think they will. But I’m pleased that in trying they are going to help elect Democrats this year. And they are pretty good at it too!

    I’ve read some of the transcripts from a couple of these trials now under review. And in particular what stands out to me is that even when challenged under voir dire, having offered clearly evasive or non-responsive answers, the judges waived off defense objections. On the bare facts she should never have been admitted as an expert on the behavior of victims.

    I could perhaps see as how a thorough and comprehensive examination of any writing work and the research behind it could clear the bar. Or a more in-depth exposition of her employment history and specific duties and skill sets involved. But that’s not how these things work. Courts look for shortcuts in the form of academic credentials, professional credentials, and peer reviewed academic publications and professional papers. None of that exists for Ms. Reade. None at all.

    Most shocking and disturbing of all, of course, is the relative ease and facility she displays under voir dire committing perjury. In a couple of the transcripts it’s apparent that opposing counsel is more than curious about what seems to be a lack of relevant supporting academic credentials. And while she’s mostly evasive and non-responsive (which should be enough to toss her) there are instances when under pursuit to be more forthcoming she crosses the line and tells obvious lies* under oath.

    That pattern seems to be what tripped up most Rapepublicans, FOX News, Megyn Kelly, and our own idiot trolls. You see it again and again in these transcripts that when she’s pressed for details she expresses a kind of uncomfortable, dismissive, impatience and then falls back onto more easily defended, but essentially non-responsive claim. Rather like Puddy actually. But if someone is sufficiently dogged and persistent she crosses the line and just lies. Also, like Puddy.

    *Assuming that there really is no such thing as a top-secret under graduate degree from Antioch. Seattle U Law continues to offer a “no-comment”.

    Pussy repeatedly called Joe Biden a rapist on the basis of Tara Reade, her character, and her consistently inconsistent stories.     I have a Brazilian friend that I met in NYC while he was visiting for a 2 week stay to learn English. He works on one of the Oil Platforms off Brazil. If he learned English, he could increase his pay greatly. He is one of the head supervisors on the platform.

    I met him at the gym. After talking to him, we went out that evening to a bar in Brooklyn – he was into EDM and wanted someone to go to Brooklyn with him. After talking with him on the way there he indicated he liked girls and so I then told him of my orientation. He was ok with my orientation. That night was fun, and so we hung out together for the 2 weeks that he was in New York. No sex – just a friendship.

    Well he voted for Bolobozo. And when I found out many years ago, on social media accounts, it bothered me a bit, but I tried to keep an open mind into maintaining the friendship. Before leaving to go back, he told me many times that he wanted me to visit him in Brazil. Aside from hating to fly, I probably would have considered it sometime. But then after the Bolobozo was elected, I was like no thank you. And at that point we started communicating less.

    About 2 months ago he reached out to me because of COVID-19. He wanted to know how I was doing, and he wished that myself and my family were ok (he met my parents and some family members when I brought him to my nephews birthday party). He was concerned about what was happening in Brazil, and that was two months ago.

And historically recoveries are disproportionate, initially benefiting larger businesses and wealthier investors and individuals. Not a lot of “undecided” voters found among these folks.

    And if unemployment rises to 25% then falls back to 15% it’s still double digit unemployment, millions of people out of work long term, with fishing season, beach season, garden season etc over and rain slowly changing to snow. A lot of those people will be older, more expensive, less adaptable males without college degrees. If they happen to be undecided, a splashy Forbes cover accompanied by charts and graphs will not be a powerful persuader if they just had to sell their boat and their project car.

    But even if it works out, and a flood of statistical reporting coming in October reflects strong growth (mostly benefiting the markets) and Trump reaps the rewards and gets re-elected, it’s a weird pose for The Pussy who has consistently flailed at his attempts to stand away from The Orange Dumpster Fire of the Vanities. What the fuck is he celebrating other than a modest recovery of some of his losses, predicated on ignoring where he started from and ignoring all the lost potential earnings.

The President’s tweet that suggests that Lori was murdered — without evidence (and contrary to the official autopsy) — is a violation of Twitter’s community rules and terms of service. An ordinary user like me would be banished from the platform for such a tweet but I am only asking that these tweets be removed.

    I am now angry as well as frustrated and grieved. I understand that Twitter’s policies about content are designed to maintain the appearance that your hands are clean you provide the platform and the rest is up to users. However, in certain past cases, Twitter has removed content and accounts that are inconsistent with your terms of service.

    I’m asking you to intervene in this instance because the President of the United States has taken something that does not belong to him — the memory of my dead wife — and perverted it for perceived political gain. I would also ask that you consider Lori’s niece and two nephews who will eventually come across this filth in the future.     At about 6 p.m., the protest turned into a march towards the 3rd Precinct, where it is believed that the officers worked. A much smaller group than the initial protest started vandalizing the building, shattering a window and spray painting squad cars.
    Officers then showed up in riot gear, and started firing tear gas and flash grenades as protesters hurled rocks, water bottles and anything they could get their hands on towards the officers.
    The unruly crowd measured in the hundreds, a far cry from the peaceful group at the start of the protest.
