    Interestingly, 48 hours after Mueller’s resignation DOJ refused an order from Judge Emmett Sullivan to release a transcript of recorded conversations that took place over the holidays in 2016 between Republican campaign operative Flynn and Russian Ambassador Kislyak in which the two illegally negotiated relief for Russian economic sanctions as compensation for Russian campaign assistance.

    So now the lay public gets to see how appointed-for-life federal judges react when government attorneys tell them to fuck off.
    Prediction: Sullivan will begin by taking names. He’ll issue an order to appear. And whichever poor slob is assigned to respond will have one of the shittiest days of his career… so far.

    I’ve never watched Gutfeld, Meyers, or Corden on TV. Last time I saw Meyers on the tube, he was on SNL.

    I’ve never watched a Gutfeld clip on the Web, either. But I’ve seen plenty of clips of Corden (usually his car scenes) and Meyers (usually interviewing someone pretty).

    The best thing about Meyers and about Corden is they do an excellent job demonstrating how different their guests are from the rest of us. It’s why when it comes down to celebrity endorsements we so frequently pick the other guy when it’s time to vote.

    But suppose he did. The following would likely happen:

    1. As Mueller was a DoJ employee, the government would have to pay his defense costs and any judgment against him, just as it does when a cop shoots a little kid.

    2. However, there’s a possibility the taxpayers would not have to pay for Mueller’s defense, because the judge likely would impose Rule 11 sanctions on Giuliani. Suing a prosecutor for not indicting someone who can’t be indicted is an interesting legal theory, but I don’t think it will survive a frivolous sniff test.

    I’m out of touch with things these days. I am working on a high-rise, but the developer is Canadian out of Vancouver and the GC is owned by the developer and is also Canadian. It’s like every Tom, Dick and Harry is trying to do work here these days.

    I did talk with Sellen’s CEO a year or two ago, but that was a personal conversation about some heath issues he’d gone through. I just wanted to know how he was doing and also to thank him for being so open about what he was going through.
