    With the exception of the guy who was in Vietnam and a couple of others here I see that no one else really every comments on the shit that North Carolina pulled. And maybe except for the first link in this blog post.

    But people, I’m not sure how you really can complain about Drumpf being nasty and a bigot when yo could care less about what North Carolina has done.

    Drumpf supporters aren’t the only problem here, you are all the problem. You can’t criticize Puddy for not speaking out against Drumpf when you can’t speak out against North Carolina.

    Yes, that’s right, I’m talking of course about “Gun Free Zones”.
    Stunningly, the RNC has chosen to host the convention in an arena that outrageously denies law-abiding patriots their Constitutionally guaranteed right to protect themselves in what we all know is the most effective way. Delegates and their families will be forced to run a gauntlet of crime, violence, and perversion, surrounded by literally hundreds of radical suicide bombers in Semtex vests, Mexican narco-terrorists, Azerbaijani white slavers, Manson Family members, and naked hippies with nothing more than a rape whistle. All because of cowardice in the face of political correctness.

    But my friends, we can do something. There is still time. Time for the remaining candidates to speak out. Time for the party to stand up to political correctness. Time for YOU to be heard!

    @2 It’s North Carolina and they still have this little nugget in the state costitution: “anArticle VI, Section 8 of the current NC Constitution forbids “any person who shall deny the being of Almighty God” from holding public office. ” The Supeme Court has ruled it’s meaningless, but many in South Carolina think them judges are just a bunch of capet baggers. After all they know they won the civil war. I was hoping by staying quiet we could get Disney up here in Bellingham. The folks in Orkanagon could use the business.     So, undercover NYPD Officers in plain clothes drive like maniacs, and then arrest anyone who call them out on it even if they’re fully protected under Federal Law.

    Maybe someone who is more cognizant of the Law could sort out all the language involved here, but I know that since the Postal Service was founded, that any interference with the Service is a Federal Crime and there are no exemptions as to who does the interfering. That means the Law includes local Law Enforcement.

    Apparently the City of Salt Lake has had a regular habit of ticketing Postal Service trucks when the carrier steps out of the vehicle to deliver a package or registered letter, and the USPS has basically told them to go pound sand.

    It’s time the proper authorities start enforcing the Law as it should be, instead of wringing their hands over political considerations. These Cops need to be arrested and prosecuted.

    I disagree with your conclusions about the “conservative” establishment compromising. I think the real problem for “conservatives has been the sweep and extent of the lying to their base about Supply Side economics and deregulation.

    Norquist and the other tax-cuts-4-billionaires fan boys have been around a lot longer than the Tea-baggers. And they’ve been much more successful at imposing their blind dogmas on Republican lawmakers without much compromise. Consider the source of Washington State’s budget crisis. And the inability of Republicans to move beyond dogma to agree on tax increases. The result has been a very predictable decline of working class living standards and opportunities. Eventually blaming it on “the blacks”, “the Japanese” (or Chinese), “the welfare queens”, and “the hippies” was bound to wear thin.
