It has happened more and more at political rallies for years. Usually it’s not been accompanied by fisty cuffs. If someone charges the stage and the candidate has secret service protection they take the person down. If they think the candidate is actually threatened they will manhandle the candidate out of the area or throw him to the ground and dog pile. Protecting the candidate.
    Nearly all rallies at some point can be made to appear like a NAZI rally with Hitler. Hitler was a politician and he knew how to get the crowd going. Trump is much more like President McKinely than Hitler.
    One has to understand the candidate from either the Republican or Democratic parties are not the head of the party. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the NAZI party. They get into power and he’s the countries leader. It’s difficult for Americans to understand this dynamic of the parliamentary system. If we were a parliamentary system the candidate of each party would be the party head and hold a seat in parliament. Of the remaining contenders only Ted Cruz is in government. Is Ted Cruz the true NAZI then actually no because to be so he would have to be in the House and be speaker. Hey maybe there is something to this whole Rand thing. If he takes over Prebius job as well. Nope he has to give up as Speaker to become President….darned American constitution no easy path to becoming an American dictator.

    @41 Why do you and others put this asinine belief that the government suddenly becomes the new President’s and all the policies are his from that instant. Our government has many many bureaucracies. The Bureaucracies rule baby! It takes at least two years just to get rid of the last administrations policies at the DOD and usually takes longer to establish a new administrations policies. Part of this is because any new President takes office in the middle of the fiscal year and Congress has passed a budget that maps things out for the new administration for the remainder of the fiscal year. The new administration gets a shot at changing some fiscal policy with their new policies, but Congress has already agreed with the former administration to put money into these different pots for the next two, three or four years.
    If a Democrat wins there is less change and some things maybe easier to implement for the new administration and they will keep more of the political bureaucrats in office reducing the learning curve. It takes time to train the new boss, and it’s always nice when the boss is already trained.

    Saturday, University LINK opened. Good sized crowds at both new stations. I guess tomorrow I am going to have to be careful on my way to work, after being used to Westlake being the last stop for so long. Good to see something I voted for in one of my first elections coming to fruition. In LINK’s vicinity, we now have three Public high schools, at least one private high school, a community college, and a Public and Private university.

    Australia was due for a Federal Election later this year, but just the House of Representatives and the Senate. Double-Dissolution means the entire Senate as well. That means the 4 senators from the Northern and Capitol Territories, and instead of just 6 Senators from each state, all 12 from each state’s. It’s a double edge sword, with the Senate elected by proportional representation, the quota goes down, could see more cross-bench parties elected.
